Location, location, location. Best location of a private home this size on West Bay. Beautiful view of the ocean, right on the beach, with shade trees to spare. Everything worth doing is within arms reach....beach, restaurants, shopping, snorkeling, water taxis, you name it. The coral reef and sea life were amazing....great snorkeling....such beautifully colored fish. Roatan isn't a 5 star resort type of island, it gives you the real island vibe and was exactly what we were looking for and if that is what you want, I highly recommend staying at the Casa Kennedy!

Our week was better than anticipated, as was the house. Nancy is a true pro at hosting while Omar and his team of drivers are always at the ready - cheerfully. Nancy cooked for us three times. She’s a good and creative chef. Our drivers were always timely and informative. The house is perfectly set back from its private beach that is adjacent to a very colorful active, but quiet beach with many varied vendors, beach bars/restaurants. I find Roatan to be very authentic with old style Caribbean culture. Finally, just a short stroll on the beach is the Hotel Caribe Tesoro. We loved eating Ceviche and excellent fish soup out on the pier. Just book this place.

We had a group of 8 stay in the house with grandparents in another rental nearby. This place was the perfect meeting place. The owner connected us with Nancy who prepared most of our meals for us and did the shopping. She was part of the family by the time we left. Her meals were spot on and we could not have asked for more. All of our expectations with the house were exceeded. Access to the beach was the best on the beach.

Absolutely amazing week with family at Casa Kennedy. House was even better than presented, lovely spot directly on the beach in west bay. The most amazing part of our stay was Nancy. Her energy and cooking skills were unreal. We fished with Ruthless charters and she made us an incredible meal with our fish, rice and beans. Another night she made her famous empanadas and home made salsa. She was very sweet to the whole family and very much made us feel at home. Important to note this house is in the middle of everything, great but is a little noisy in the evenings. Felt completely safe where we were, water taxis were easy and got us all around. Ms Kennedy the home owner was a fabulous host, she was kind and prompt with all of my silly questions. We are so hopeful to return , and will forever be grateful for the family experience we received with Nancy and Ms Kennedy.

West Bay Beach and Casa Kennedy make a perfect outdoor vacation setting! The only time we were indoors was to sleep. Eight of us spent two weeks enjoying the water, relaxing on the lounge chairs, walking the beach, snorkelling and gathering at the table under the covered deck. Maritza is a very considerate and responsive host. We appreciated Omar picking us up and taking us back to the airport. On arrival, it was suggested that a toaster would be nice to have in the downstairs unit. A new toaster was delivered on the second day of our stay. Dario drove us everywhere we wanted to go on the island including frequent stops at a store in West End. Then there’s Nancy who made us three excellent dinners and a delicious breakfast. Her chicken and beef empanadas were our favourite. We all agree that the team looking after guests at Casa Kennedy are second to none. Thank you, can’t wait to return to the island!

Everything was as pictured. We did have a lack of water situation one morning but came back later and all was working. Think a well pump needed a chance to catch up. They host the drinking water so it wasn't that rough of a situation for us. The house is right in all the action but set back for a bit of privacy.

I have been visiting the island for more than 20 years and this home was a great choice for our family of six. Yes we had other options on where to stay, including the higher-end hotels within the same beach, but if you are looking for an authentic island home experience, look no further. The memories we made while staying here will always be remembered. We will be back. Aside from some minor updates and improvements this home could use, this home is really a gem that sits on an incredible piece of paradise within West Bay. It was a pleasure working with the host (..and a big thanks to Nancy for baking a soccer ball cake for my kids birthday).

Great home layout and location for Family/ Friend vacation . Beach front property that is private yet still a short beach walk or water taxi from most Restaurants /attractions . Whatever isn’t within -a beach walk distance is feasible via the reasonably priced water taxi ,taxi, or cheap rental cars.

We really enjoyed staying here and it was perfect for our family. The house is literally right on the beach, with a restaurant on one side, a scuba shop on the other, water taxis steps away for getting to the West End, lots of little shops and places to eat close by. It was all so convenient! There was plenty of room for our family, or even a bigger group. The little basement "apartment" added lots of extra space and stayed very cool. The AC in the bedrooms was appreciated! The oven/ stovetop was tricky to use since there are no markings/ numbers/ words on the dials to tell you which goes with which burner and you need to light the correct burner with a match. Sweet Nancy came over and demonstrated. She doesn't speak any English and we don't speak Spanish, but Google translate saved the day. 😊 Unfortunately, the renters before us apparently lost the key to the safe box, so it was unusable. That was a little disconcerting, hopefully they'll be able to rekey it for future use. However, there is a security guard for the general area, which helps. Recommendations: Have Nancy make dinner for you at least once while you're there. Her fried chicken is the best we've ever had! Use Omar's driving service. Our driver, Dario, was so helpful and knowledgeable. He set up a fishing trip for us, took us to Jungle Top ziplining (our favorite ziplining experience yet!), recommended restaurants, things to do, and a close by medical clinic for our return COVID testing. He's fantastic! Eat at Argentinian Grill next door at least once while you're there. So good. They'll even cook fish you catch. Blue Planet Dive shop is next door on the other side, just steps away from the house, and steps away from their boats. So convenient! And they have a nice set up for cleaning/storing your gear between dives. Their boats are nice and they dive with smaller groups (8 or less). We had great captains and dive masters. The variety and quantity of coral formations in Roatan is incredible! Take sunscreen and bug spray. Don't drink the tap water or even brush your teeth with it! Not even the locals do. Kennedy House provides all the bottled water you need, so you don't have to stock up at the grocery store. We'd stay at Kennedy House again. It was just right for what we needed.

Great. Nancy and drivers were wonderful. House and deck were very accommodating. Ate all our dinners outside. Bedroom AC’s were very quiet and efficient.

My husband and I stayed at Casa Kennedy for a week and found the location to be perfect. Restaurants and water taxis are steps from the villa. Dario picked us up from the airport and took us all over the island during the course of our stay. I highly recommend using him for any excursions - he’s amazing! The photos are an accurate representation of the villa. Maritza was incredibly responsive to our questions and she was wonderful to deal with. We truly enjoyed our first trip to Roatan!

Nancy was amazing. Highly recommend hiring her for meals. House was clean and as pictured. Location on the beach and private well maintained area. Security from Emerald Bay nearby and we felt very safe. The water that was just steps away from the door was beautiful, warm, clear and we can’t wait to rent this house again for another vacation. The host was also very helpful and quickly answered all of our questions that we asked prior to our stay. We had a lot of questions lol. The check out process was also pleasant, we were not rushed in anyway and always felt welcome.

Just go ahead and book this place! From our airport pickup with Dario to the amazing food from Nancy. This place has it all. It’s in the perfect location on West Bay. You are right on the beach, basically you own little private beach. There are hotels and restaurants a on both sides, but you would never know. All the beds are comfortable and the AC in each keeps you cool at night. The house has everything you need. We spent our days in the hammocks and on the beach. We had wonderful dinners twice with Nancy, even our picky eaters loved her food. We will definitely book this place again!

The house is perfectly located and very comfortable. The host is very quick to respond and connected us with Omar and Nancy. Omar is so friendly and knowledgeable and so helpful getting us around the island. Id highly recommend having Nancy cook a meal for you when you stay. The food was wonderful and she was made both nights so special. I highly recommend this house!

We stayed at Casa Kennedy for 2 weeks and had an amazing time. The property is right on the beach so you have your own shade as you want it during the day while watching the water. It took a couple of days for us to really settle into the routine, but all the inconveniences of a new place in a new country melted away by day 3. The comforts of home are there and you can cook meals at home if you'd like relatively easily, but also have lots of options that are just steps down the beach. For a place this nice, it would be nice to see an upgraded kitchen and bathrooms, but not show stoppers by any means. The air conditioning in the bedrooms is a nice respite after a long day in the sun. All in all, wonderful people, great location, excellent vacation.

Lovely property with amazing ocean view. Very comfortable with large wrap around deck that provides both sun and shaded areas. The house caretaker Nancy was lovely and communication with home owner was excellent.

Tough to beat the location if you’re wanting to stay on West Bay. We only had 4 in our group but the property could easily accommodate twice that. Stumble onto the beach in the morning and swim or take a short walk over towards Infinity Bay to snorkel. Easy to catch water taxis from the house. We used Nancy to cook for us a few nights during our stay and she was great. The place was perfect for us as the sandy beach is very easy to get in and out of and the reef is close by.

The location of this house is absolutely perfect. The owner hooks you up with a driver and a housekeeper/cook if you want to use their services. Loved having Nancy cook for us while we were there. She was great!

Casa Kennedy was simply wonderful. The house had everything we needed, spacious and in the best location. The best snorkeling reef just a short walk on the beach in front of bananarama resort. Restaurant all around consisting of local fare, Italian, Argentinian and American. The property manager/housekeeper/cook Nancy was amazing. Any issue or question was dealt with very quickly. She is very knowledgeable. We will definitely return. 5 stars. Maritza Kennedy was always quick to answer questions during our planning process. One of the best rentals we have stayed at.

This property and staff are first class. True island hospitality and above. Well appointed kitchen, first aid, towels and the staff are first class for sure !! We will be back.

We loved it! The house is beautiful and right on the beach. Nancy was there to greet us when we arrived, had everything ready, and showed us around the house. There are plenty of nice restaurants and bars within walking distance. Everyone we met was very friendly, and we were really lucky that the weather was gorgeous for our entire stay. Our whole group all agrees that we want to return next year.

Easy to work with, everything well looked after. Be sure to ask for Nancy as your cook/staff. The meals are incredible and well prepared. The beach is the best on the island and the entertainment is pretty much every evening. Very safe, clean and I expect our party to return in years to come.

Views are beautiful from Casa Kennedy! Wonderful to be in such an ideal situation-privacy when you want it, food steps away when you are hungry! The house itself is comfortable enough but has a few minor deferred maintenance issues. All of those are forgotten when you step outside-and when in Roatan, outside is where you spend your time. Many thanks to Nancy for the yummy meal and the advice during our stay! Thanks, too, to Omar’s cab service for picking us up at the airport and stopping for groceries! Our family rented this house in 2017 and 2018. Everything was perfect. Roatan’s island and especially West Bay is a secure destination for family, snorkling, eating and met interesting local people. Emerald beach house has the most beautiful location with private beach and amazing deck. The owner and manager are available and ready to do anything to make your stay unforgettable. Notre famille a loué cette maison en 2017 et 2018. Tout était parfait. L’île de Roatan et spécialement West Bay est une destination sécuritaire pour la famille, faire de la plongée, bien manger et avoir de beaux échanges avec les locaux. Emerald beach house a la plus belle localisation avec sa plage privée et le patio est impressionnant. La propriétaire et le gestionnaire sont disponibles et prêts à tout faire pour rendre votre séjour inoubliable.

Stop looking, and just book this property! We are a family of five (mom, dad, and 3 teenage boys). If you are looking for a 5 star property - this is probably not the best choice for you - no dishwasher, no central air, dicey wi-fi, etc... But if you aren't looking for luxury, simply the best location, you cannot beat this house! Right on the beach in front of a roped off swim area. Great spot to sit and watch the action roll by....Next to several restaurants (Beachers, Cayuco, and Bananarama were our favs). Check out the Bananarama website because they have different activities each night - Monday night movies on the beach, Sunday night crab races (benefit children with AIDS) and fire dancing, 2-for-1 pizzas, etc....KarmaRoatan sets up right next door several days a week - she has some amazing jewelry and I purchased several pieces. Get the banana bread from the gentleman who walks up and down the beach each day - my boys would hear him "pan de banana, pan de coco" and they would literally grab a handful of money and buy as much as they could! Water taxis $3 pp to West End - recommend Cafe Escondido for fabulous inexpensive food (breakfast and lunch) as well as Sundowners. The boys would swim out from Sundowners to the sailboat that is anchored in Half Moon Bay and spend hours jumping from it - one of their best memories - plus it's free! I always like to get a piece of art when we travel, and have had a hard time finding anything I like in Roatan. This time I found Shawn Jackson's studio (West End tucked behind Waves of Art Gallery). He has some amazing photographs, and I purchased several. We had Nancy for the entire trip and highly recommend her - I didn't lift a finger - so true vacation for me! Looking forward to returning in the future!!!

We rented the whole house and it slept 8 comfortably. The location is as good as it gets, only steps from the beach and a private roped off area on the beach that only guests at this house use. When the cruise ships come in it gets pretty busy on this beach and having your own area to lounge with both shade and sun is very special. We used Nancy to both clean and cook the entire 12 days and her food was both amazing and cost effective. Her homemade Fried Chicken and her Taquitos with guacamole were to die for. Eating out every day can get a little pricey. Omar picked us up from the airport and stopped at the grocery store on the way to the house. He is a wealth of information and can set up anything you need. He has great connections and hooked us up with the best boat on the beach for fishing, banana boat rides, snorkeling and water taxi needs. Eddie owns the boat and Anebo is his mate, they were phenomenal. Tell um Chip sent you. I wiuld highly recommend this home if your considering a stay in Roatan.
