Our family of five, including three young boys, had an absolute blast. The house was perfect for us. Very clean, plenty of space for us, and gorgeous views. Easy access down to the water even for our little one (3y). We loved using the kayaks and canoe, going on the water was the boys favorite part! We had no problems finding the property or using the easy entry with the key pad. And there was plenty to do on the island for our entire family to fill each day we were here. We will definitely be back!

So peaceful! Cabin was beautiful and had all we needed. Our favorite part was walking over to Roche Harbor everyday for a meal. The trails on the way over are magical. Lots of wildlife. The harbor seals while kayaking were so fun and kayaking across the bay to eat oysters was another highlight. I hope we come back again!

This house was great for our family for the weekend. We loved that everyone had their own room, the kitchen was very well stocked, the whole place was immaculate, and the view was lovely. We used the bikes and rain boots, and had planned on using the kayaks but the weather wasn’t stellar. The proximity to Roche Harbor was excellent and the walking trails were perfect for our dogs. Decided to take the kids for a little weekend fun to celebrate Mother’s Day. All kids are older teen to adults. The weather was gorgeous. The house was very well stocked and I loved the little labels or instructions on things how they worked. Would have loved to stay longer. I will be adding this to my favorites to return again.

This home and it’s beautiful view were a perfect place to unwind with the family. The kitchen was well stocked, lots of games and books, comfortable beds, and did I mention the view? We will be back in the summer months to really enjoy the water access next time.

We had an amazing time at the property. It was very clean, comfortable and well-appointed. Checking in was a snap and we felt at home right away. I loved that light switches were labelled and other notes around the house were very helpful. In addition to the home being fantastic, the location is outstanding. We walked to Roche Harbor almost every day for breakfast or lunch. Finally, the hosts were very responsive and gracious answering questions leading up to our stay. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it highly.

Great family home that is obviously well loved and cared for— wake up each morning to a different view and great spot to paddle/kayak! Hope to visit again.

Easy to give this one five stars! It was all decked out with everything we needed from laundry to grill to kayaks and paddle board. All on site with an amazing view of the bay. So worth it, would love to come back!

Our group of six family members had an absolutely wonderful stay at this lovely and comfortable home. It's in a great location and an easy walk to the Roche Harbor Resort. We did a lot of fun things on the island, but we especially loved hanging out on the spacious deck and enjoying the view of Westcott Bay. No one wanted to come home!

We absolutely loved staying at this cute home. It was the perfect base for exploring. The kitchen was very well stocked and the water toys were wonderful. We hope to be back in the future!

Outstanding experience. This is the 2nd time our extended family of 8 has stayed at this rental. The location is perfect, minutes from Roche Harbor, and twenty minutes to Friday Harbor. One of our favorite things to do is digging for clams on the property when the tide is out. The smaller clams are delicious when cooked. There is one large canoe, several kayaks, and bikes for use. Between Roche Harbor and Friday Harbor there are many great restaurants to choose from. Views from the deck are incredible. We plan to come back in the future.

Perfect accommodations from start to finish! The kitchen had everything we needed, the bedrooms and beds were very comfortable & the view from inside & outside was spectacular! The added amenities, kayaks & bikes, to name a couple, made it even better!!

We loved this place. Outdoor decks were great! The pics don't do it justice. It was both larger and brighter than we expected!

This lovely waterfront island home was well equipt and clean. There were many extras such as kayaks, paddle boards, ping pong, bikes, clam digging equiptment. We loved watching and listening to all of the birds including blue herron and eagles. The location was close to Roche Harbor and the Oyster Farm. Nice home for a family get away.

I stayed here for a week with my wife and 18 month old daughter as well as my in-laws. Plenty of room for everyone, incredible deck with water views and kayaks to use on Westcott Bay. Amazing property and a delightful first visit to SJI. Thank you!!

Our three-generation family of 6 had a wonderful time. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the birds and boats on the bay, paddling and ping pong, games and movies, clamming and shell searching, walking and biking to Roche Harbor, driving the Island with stops at Westcott Oyster Farm and English Camp and Friday Harbor. The only disappointment was the stress getting to the ferry and then the launch delays. Best to plan ahead with plenty of time between ferry ride and air flights from Seattle. Thank you for a lovely time. We would love to return for another Getaway on the Bay!

This was for spring break. We had a great time. the house was lovely. The only challenge was the upstairs bathroom outlet didn't work. It was a bit chilly so we didn't take advantage of the outdoor area.

We truly enjoyed our time at this gem of a rental house. We explored several islands and the Skagit valley tulip festival using this home as our home base for a group of 9 including 3 kids under 10. We were worried we wouldn't be able to use the kayaks since it is early April in the PNW, but we got out on the water several times thanks to the well stocked garage of outdoor gear. The highlight was when we paddled across the harbor to get oysters at the shellfish farm and were followed by a group of seals.

The property is in a perfect location and very comfortable. I stayed with my 3 grown children and 2 of their spouses (all 30 year olds). They kayaked, canoed, and biked. We walked to Roche Harbor daily through the wooded paths. (Not much is open in Roche harbor during this time of year but Friday harbor had lots of restaurants and shops open). The view from the house is pretty awesome, the owners very responsive, lots of towels and linens, cozy fireplace, great appliances— I would definitely recommend the house.

Our group of 10 (family & friends) had a lovely time at this rental. We were in town for a family member’s wedding in Friday Harbor, so we decided to make a weeklong stay of it. The house is a scenic 20 minute drive from the ferry terminal, and minutes away from downtown Roche Harbor. It is situated on a small hillside which affords stunning water views! The switchback trail to the water and dock were easily manageable, and we loved having access to the kayaks. Exploring Westcott bay on kayaks was one of my favorite things about the island. We saw seals, otters, raccoons, and deer right by the property. The gravel driveway is a bit steep, but our cars managed just fine. The downstairs felt nice and open, great for entertaining a bigger group like us. The upstairs felt more crowded with a tight bathroom and shower area, but they definitely made great use of the square footage overall. We really loved the fact that the kitchen was so well stocked with dishes and cups! They even had a good assortment of spices on hand. Additionally, they had a great amount of towels and bedding, which we also appreciated. Sadly, we didn’t get a chance to use the bikes that they provide, but it was very cool that they were there as an option. My favorite thing about this property was the amazing, spacious deck perfect for entertaining! I would find myself just gazing out over the bay with coffee in hand all throughout the day. Thank you for a nice stay! We had a fun time!

This home is beautiful and well equipped. The location is one you can’t beat. Looking at Weatcott Bay is stunning. We enjoyed kayaking, going on walks, sipping coffee on the deck and exploring Roche and Friday Harbor. We can’t wait to return!

The house is well-equipped for family fun and offers beautiful views of the bay. The kids loved the bunk room and game room (in the garage) and we had fun kayaking to an oyster farm restaurant. Having boots on hand to explore for shells when the tide is out thrilled the kids. There are great trails to explore in the area. The house is super comfortable. Bonus: games and books for kids of all ages. We appreciated the bird and field guides. If streaming is important to you or your kids, this part of the island may not be for you. We would gladly stay again!

Our family of 7 (3 generations) enjoyed the stay immensely, principally because this home was over-the-top equipped to handle each whim: cook ( I mean really cook) , bike/kick scooter around, comb the beach, stay in for games/puzzles/pingpong, get wet with water guns or explore in the kayaks. Each bedroom had a floor fan, which were ON during a heat spell. Hosts quickly answered emails with our miscellaneous questions. A very complete orientation-to-the-area notebook is in the kitchen.
