The treehouse was absolutely perfect for our family of 5! It quickly jumped to our favorite place in Montreat. Great location! All of the comforts of home. Awesome porch to see the leaves, read and enjoy a cup of coffee! We can't wait to go back and stay longer! Perfect!

We loved our stay in Montreat. The house is very well loved and cared for. The owners have put a lot of thought and detail into their house and it has everything you could need for a great getaway. We had our three children with us (9,7, 3m). Our two older kids were especially excited for the bunk beds and our 3 month stayed comfortably in a pack n' play with my husband and I in the master. My mom stayed with us and had her own room downstairs. My mom is in her 70's so going up two flights of stairs was a little challenging at times for her when unloading and loading the car but overall she did great and was very comfortable. The house has two porches that are really cool with great views. You really feel like you're in a tree house!

We had a great time in the treehouse! Location is unbeatable, easy walk to playground, Lake Susan, etc. even with small children. Comfy beds, updated kitchen and baths, two fantastic porches, lots of games, easy to use thermostat and TVs. We would have loved to stay longer! As pictured/stated in description, the house is on a sloped lot and there are many steps both outside and in. If accessibility is an issue look elsewhere.

Rare find in Montreat. Completely updated home in perfect location with great porches for relaxation. I was very excited about our week on Montreat and this great house with its central location, and nothing about the house failed to meet my expectations. If it's available, you should rent it. I have stayed in many Montreat houses and this one is at the top. And it has a great and easy to communicate with host. 5 stars across the board.

This home is perfectly located within Montreat for families! Playground and lake Susan just steps away. Views from top porch were gorgeous. The home is very well stocked, furniture is comfy and the space is even bigger than the pictures show. Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back ourselves!

Our family loved spending Thanksgiving week in this wonderful home! The house was everything we hoped for and the location couldn’t have been better. The windows and decks were our favorite part and really added to our enjoyment of the surroundings. We hope to return to this home in the future!

It was clean and well cared for, with everything you'd need in the kitchen, including plastic containers for leftovers. The kids loved the bunk room and the playground across the street was amazing. My mom did take a slip down the stairs one evening - the wood is slippery and that area of the house is a bit dark. She was ok but we were a lot more careful after that. We would love to come back when it's warmer and enjoy the deck and screened porch more. Thanks for having us!

This tree house is perfect for a family vacation, but also lends itself to a weekend with a few friends. The fall foliage created a lovely scene outside, while my friends and I enjoyed the warmth of the house and the modern amenities. Very enjoyable visit.

Loved our stay here. Very comfortable, great location, park nearby for the kids and lots of great hikes right in Montreat. Black Mountain and Asheville are great cities nearby with lots of shops and restaurants. We loved our stay here!

My family of 4 had a great stay at the treehouse! We love the playground, ducks at Lake Susan and hiking in Montreat all of which was right out the front door! We even saw a black bear behind the house while we were on the screen porch which was amazing! The screen porch is so well stocked with games- it was one of our favorite spots. We will stay here again for sure. There are so many stairs so I would caution anyone with mobility issues to think twice about this house. I wish that there was a way to access the screen porch from inside other than the through the bunk room. Several nights we were there it was pouring down rain and my husband and I would have loved to sit on the porch after we put the kids down but I wasn’t going to wake up the 2yo or walk down a flight of exterior stairs in driving rain.

This home is located across the street from the tennis courts and playground and very close to Lake Susan and the many trailheads throughout Montreat. The home itself is lovely! Very comfortable with two porches, games, great furniture, windows everywhere and a wood burning fireplace in the cozy main room. The kitchen had all the staples we needed to complement our own groceries. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms were really nice. Heated floors in the downstairs bathroom! We loved everything about our stay and will definitely be back. The owner made things easy and communicated with us well. Excellent rental.

We loved our stay at the Barclay Treehouse! Our kids loved the games and the screened porch. Our boys really enjoyed the triple bunk in their room. We loved the location and went on a walk around Montreat as a family. We took this trip as a “back to school” relaxing weekend and it was that and more. We all had a great time and the home was absolutely beautiful.

Fantastic location + very cool house -- with two, terrific decks overlooking tennis courts and offering mountain views. We enjoyed our time and we'll hope to return.

Everything was great until I got an extra charge to me card. When I asked about the charge I was informed that the master had to have pillows, curtains and comforter because they smelt like smoke. My family and I followed their rules, but my wife and I were penalized for being smokers. Ridiculous! I would not rent here again.

I could not have asked for a better place to stay. It was a short visit but we will be back for a longer one to the treehouse! The park was right beside us and it was the coolest place for kids to play. There is a river that runs through and around it. The house had two decks/sitting areas which will be great when we come back for a longer stay and more family. I also appreciate the notes around the house as reminders because it is something I would do. Owner was very responsive if I had any check-out questions as well.
