Enjoyed family on first floor with wood stove, open kitchen, and plenty of lounging room. Basement with bedroom (bunks) worked well. All enjoyed the pool table and dart game. We all noticed that the house was very clean. Greatly enjoyued our time. Blessings

This house was amazing! Very close to the village of Stowe so it was just a short drive to get essentials and do shopping. Only 25 minutes from ebikes and the gondola ride. The weather did not cooperate with our plans however the house made up for it. Pictures of the views do not capture how intense the beauty is! We will return.

This house was perfect for our family and visiting friends. Plenty of space, a large kitchen to work in and a magnificent few. And the location can’t be beat! Blake and Shirly were great and gave us tons of suggestions to make the most of Our time in Stowe and surrounding area. We’ll be back!

We visited the house with 10 men. It was the perfect size home for our group. Plenty to do inside and out. The property is nestled nicely into the hill so you don't feel like another property is right on top of you; very private. The view is spectacular; the house really had everything we needed. I would love to book this house with kids next time around.

We stayed for 8 days over the christmas holidays with 4 children and 6 adults. The house was impressive both in looks and size and provided us with more then enough space to enjoy a great break. The furniture is all of good quality and the views are unrivalled. The communication with the owner has been great all the way through and they even left us a little welcome basked upon arrival. We would absolutely come back to this property if we decide to visit the Stowe region again. Thanks for letting us use your house and help create a memory of a lifetime.

Myself and nine other guests arrived on 12/30/2015 and departed on 01/03/2016. What an amazing way to ring in the New Year! Since the first day I messaged Shirly about the availability of this home she was beyond responsive and answered all of my questions perfectly. She made the entire process fun, easy and exciting! This home is GORGEOUS! This was the perfect cabin for all of us and fit 10 adults comfortably. The views off of the back deck were exceptional! On the first day we arrived there was a little fog and clouds but by the second day we had an amazing view of one of the mountains. The home was in excellent condition when we arrived. The home owners also left us a “goody basket” for our arrival which consisted of local Vermont food, drinks, etc. We are a group of people that love to cook and this kitchen was fully stocked with equipment to use! We were able to make large meals in the kitchen and also had an opportunity to utilize the outside grill for some meals. We spent a good amount of time at the house at night and were kept warm by the wood stove located in the upstairs living area. There is also a dart board, pool table, large (comfortable) couch and TV downstairs for entertaining. We used this space a lot. The mountain was about a 15 minute drive from the home. We also went snowmobiling and to the Ben & Jerry's factory which were a short 10 minute drive away. Overall, this trip was awesome! The group is still talking about it and we cannot wait to come back in the future! Thank you to Shirly and her family for allowing us to stay at their home!

Our stay was fabulous. The house is absolutely beautiful, we knew it was a log cabin but this was beautiful. It was spotless so thank you to Sheila. Things we loved: the deck, wow, great size, perfect views and ample seating. On our first night, we saw so many shooting stars Smile. The bedrooms were great size and beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were very spacious which was great. A lot of rental homes seem to have tiny bathrooms and all 3 in your home were great. The bunk room was perfect. The boys loved it. We had friends come over for dinner one night (we were up for the Bitter Lacrosse Tournament and three other families were staying down the block) and the house was perfect for entertaining. The boys enjoyed the pool table and hot tub. So this along with it being so close to Shaws and the back way to the Polo lacrosse fields made the location perfect. The kitchen was very well stocked and a great size. There was always someone sitting at that great big counter. Things we did while we were there: Went to town and walked around, shopped and had some ice cream; went to Lost Nation Brewery for dinner Sunday night, great food and fun to do a flight of beer; we hiked Mt Mansfield which was, well I will say fun but I'm still a little sore, lol. We also drove to Burlington, rented bicycles and did the 20 mile ride along Lake Champlain. All around it was a great vacation.

This year our family only had a few days to get together. We needed something local to ensure that we could maximize our time together. The home was perfect for us our three married children and grandson. The space was perfect, allowed for family time, quiet time and space to play. The owner was very welcoming from the beginning of the experience and followed through until we returned home. The log cabin was beautiful and well decorated to make it warm and enjoyable. We felt at ease and moved in without any concern.

The home was absolutely spectacular. 10 of my friends and I decided to book a place last minute for Memorial Day Weekend and everywhere we looked on homeaway.com no other places would have us because it was on such short notice. The owner was 100% responsive when I requested to book this cabin and they made it such an easy-going process. The view is amazing and the cabin itself is very homey and it made us feel welcomed at all times. The amenities and location are key in making this place very convenient - my friends and I went on a 6 mile hike that was only a 12 minute drive away. I would definitely look into booking this cabin if you are looking to have a fun, relaxing getaway with friends/family.

Every year my friends and I leave the city for a weekend to getaway into the mountains. We pick a new mountain every year and we always rent a house. The houses are usually pretty awesome and this one was no different. There were 10 of us and we all fit comfortably. Shirly, one of the owners, emailed me the first day we got there to make sure we got there safely and were able to get into the house. She also contacted me again on our departure day to make sure we got home safely. I thought that was sweet. Overall great experience. Would highly recommend it for others!

The house was incredible. Beautiful with a ton of character. Amazing view. It was in incredible shape with plenty of room and amenities. The house was also surprising well stocked and the owner left a very nice gift basket with local Vermont goods. Also, I left an underarmour shirt at the property and the owner not only found it and sent it to me but she refused to let me compensate her for the shipping expense! She was incredibly responsive and helpful every chance she could be. I've stayed in several ski houses similar to this but this house with was my favorite and the owner was fantastic.

What a beautiful home with gorgeous views! This was the perfect place to stay for our two families. The upstairs living area was big enough for our whole group but we could spread out a bit with the lower level. The kids especially enjoyed the lower level with pool table and lots of games to choose from. The hot tub outside was fabulous after a day on the slopes. The owners were very friendly and helpful...that's always a plus! It's about a 20 minute drive to the mountain, but it's a nice, easy drive. The only downside for us was that the wood stove was inoperable at the time of our stay and we were unaware of this until a few days before our trip. A little disappointed, as a nice warm stove or fire always makes for a nice evening. Would definitely recommend to others.

Fact, probably the best house you will find in Stowe. This place is stunning. Once you walk in you will be in awe by the detail and care that was put into this place. This is the bedroom set up: There is a Master Bedroom upstairs with a private bath. Two bedrooms on the main floor once you walk in, which both have a queen size bed and share a common bathroom. Then there is one room downstairs with two bunk beds (4 twin beds) and a full size bed and a bathroom. Lastly, right outside of the Master bedroom there is a couch which pulls out to a Queen bed as well. Back to the house: There is a large deck which views Stowe/Mansfield Mountain in the distance. Two living spaces, one upstairs with lots of comfortable seating, and one downstairs which is where the pool table, darts and board games are. A really nice large hot tub downstairs. The bear head in the bathroom will scare the pants off of you. The kitchen is brand new and gorgeous, all new equipment. It was very nice of the home owners to include some coffee and tea as well as a welcome basket when we arrived. I just can't say enough how nice this place is. If your party fits the bedroom scenario, you would be a fool not to stay here. The 10 minute drive to town and 20 minutes to the mountain are a breeze.
