We could not have been more pleased with this VRBO. It was exactly as described. Great location. Comfortable bed. We cooked a lot of our meals and we had everything we needed to do so (pots, pans, dishes, etc.) Ed responds immediately to texts (although we didn’t text much - as we didn’t need anything…) We would definitely stay here again!

This property was perfect for a vacation with my son and his family. It was very clean, comfortable, kid friendly, and in a great location in a safe neighborhood. The beach is a 5 minute walk away, with many shops and restaurants all within walking distance. The outside yard and BBQ area was great for relaxing after a day at the beach. Ed was super nice and quickly responded to any questions I had. I look forward to staying here again for my next trip to San Diego!

The owner Ed was extremely easy to work with during our stay. The place was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, krueig, etc. It was exceptionally warm at the time of our visit but we were supplied plenty of fans. We never had a problem parking near the property. Would recommend!

This stay was exactly what we hoped it would be. Such an incredible location to the beach and fun shops and restaurants. Ed was super easy to work with, very responsive. The place has everything you need. The neighborhood is really chill and laid back, just like the place. Parking really wasn’t that difficult. We had an incredible visit to San Diego with our 2 boys and being able to stay here was a large part of why. Thanks so much, Ed!!

This stay was great. The property is definitely a beach house in an old surf town. Charming, local and cozy. There are certainly more fancy and ritzier places to stay in surrounding areas but this Property is about a 6 minute walk from front door to feet on the sand. It’s also a great base camp to beach hop to the many other beaches surrounding the area. Ed was great and communicated well from soup to nuts!

Loved our stay. Parking is a challenge, but it is San Diego near the beach so that is to be expected.

This cottage was large enough to sleep all six of us comfortably and small enough to keep us all close. All hard floors so no need to worry about dragging sand in. The kitchen had everything to make meals for everyone. The property manager, Chris was the best. He was very attentive and yet I never saw him. I would recommend for a week at the beach with family. We will be staying here again.

This apartment /cottage was perfect for our weekend stay in San Diego. Plenty of room for myself, my husband and our teenager. The pictures don't do it justice! Every room had great furniture and décor: nothing felt like a hand-me-down. It's situated in a little enclosed area with a cute shared open space with flowers, plants, tables etc. The owner was extremely responsive and helpful as well. We had some great pizza one night and Mexican food another, both within walking distance. Two things worth mentioning.: parking can be tricky and also it seems like the later in the evening it gets, the more sketchy the neighborhood, probably due to the proximity to the area bars and restaurants. That being said, i definitely recommend this place and would stay here again!

This place was perfect for what I needed

Property was located in a Great spot, plenty of restaurants and coffee shops, within walking distance. Beach very close by, neighborhood was very safe. Parking was the only downside, but in a Beach area, it’s to be expected. House was just as described and everything was great.

This summer getaway is perfect, from the little yard, which is a perfect sanctuary to relax in. To the great location! I love staying tnere.

The cottage was nicely decorated, had everything we needed from cooking utensils, kitchen equipment to toys for the children to play with to linens! It was very clean and close to everything. We were able to walk everywhere. The owner/manager, Ed, was extremely accommodating and made sure we were comfortable. Highly recommend this property and look forward to staying there again. Thank you Ed for your wonderful hospitality.

Had a great two week stay!! Place as described wanted for nothing. Immaculate! Yard well kept and beautiful. Walking distance to anything we desired to eat , markets for picking up quick things and the beach of course. Ed and all residents friendly, helpful but not intrusive. My dog had great time playing with the one resident dog and one visiting dogs

I've stayed at this property four summers now. I love it! It's close to the beach, close to town, and close to Voltaire St. where there are great restaurants and People's Market, which is a great place to shop!

Great location, close to the beach! Perfectly clean and charming beach bungalow. We really enjoyed having the patio and grassy outside area with that beautiful jasmine. We would definitely come back again!!

I could not be happier about my experience here. I just completed a monthly rental for me and my pup, and this exceeded all expectations. The property is located a few blocks away from bars, coffee shops, grocery stores, and the beach! The unit is located in the courtyard behind two nice-looking cottages, with a nice white picket fence in front. The place was safe, clean, and very easy to get in and out of. If you're bringing your dog, there's no better spot. Dog beach is only a 10 minute walk, and most of the bars are dog friendly. The two neighbors are longer-term renters, and were some of the most pleasant people I've ever been around. Their dogs also made for great playmates for my own. The owner (Ed) has thought of everything when remodeling the unit - for instance, the place is stocked with pillows, blankets, pots, pans, board games, a vacuum, and lots of towels. Ed was also very accessible, and came quickly when we had an issue with a heater and a towel rack falling. Did I mention there's a laundry room directly behind the unit? That's pretty hard to find. Overall, loved the place. I actually think the pictures undersell it, too. You'll love it here!

It was perfect for our family

I had a wonderful four weeks at this cottage! It was close to everything. The property was well kept and very appealing. It was quiet, and sitting on the patio was enjoyable and relaxing. The owner and other residents were friendly and helpful. It was wonderful!

We stayed at Ed's place for 6 nights over the 4th of July holiday. Overall, we had a great stay! Pros: location to beach, attentive owner, access to washer/dryer, well-equipped kitchen Cons: Parking (if you can get one of the designated spots, DO IT - especially in the summer, especially over a holiday. A couple nights I was literally parked about 1/2 mile away. A couple nights we got super lucky and grabbed a spot on the same block as the rental.) We had a great time at Ed's place. It was exactly what we were looking for on our summer getaway. Ed is very friendly and attentive to his guests. A major plus. The rental's microwave broke during our stay. Ed had us up and running with a new one within a few hours. Our only suggestion would be a stepping stool for little kids to use at the bathroom sink . The one in the closet is tough for them to use. We highly recommend this place for your Ocean Beach getaway and we would rent from Ed again.

Great cozy comfortable clean place to relax. The house was well furnished with everything you would need. We made many meals and enjoyed the quiet. (We even got used to the planes flying over) We enjoyed playing the board games that were available during the rain we got on New Years Eve. We enjoyed our daily morning walks around the area and to the beach, which was only 7 to 10 minutes from the house. Surf Rider Pizza place is within walking distance from the house and was so delicious. A great place to relax and enjoy if your are in the Ocean Beach area.

Great place. Beach house everything you need. Ed is very accommodating. Wonderful neighborhood, walk to beach, restaurants, etc. Rent both of Ed's cottages for a big group. Will definitely stay here again!
