Been to the keys for many year for opening week of lobster season however this was our first time in Marathon.
The Amberjack House was truly perfect! The house is extremely well maintained, furnished and stocked. Easy access to either the Gulf or Atlantic. Communication with Mr Hillman was superb! Highly recommend this home to anyone coming to this area!

The place was exactly as described! Perfect for us in every way! We really appreciated the beach supplies: chairs, toys, snorkel gear and used them often throughout the week. Also, appreciated the extra supplies so we didn’t have to buy dish/laundry soap, paper towels, trash bags. Owner was great to work with!

This was our first trip to the Keys and we had such a great time! This location is so convenient with restaurants, bait shops, Walgreens, etc. right near by and is a short boat ride to two great snorkeling locations! Beds were comfortable, kitchen well stocked, owner responsive when we had a question…honestly zero complaints and would absolutely recommend.

We just got back from staying in this home for a week and it was the BEST decision. Everything was clean, it was in a very convenient location, and I truly don't have one bad thing to say about the home or owners. The fishing off the dock for my son, was key. He caught several fish and they were perfect for him and the experience. The pool and beach access was perfect for my girls. They could go back and forth between the two with ease and I didn't have to worry about where they were at any point of time. The food and drinks served at the club, were excellent.
If I had one thing that could be improved upon (which the owners have no control over) was the club workers. A couple of them had some quick and rude comments when we had questions, but that is at NO fault to the owner.
If we head down there for another family vacation in the future, we will for sure be booking with them. :)

What a great vacation we had! We go to the keys every year for the last 30yrs…This was our first time in this house and we loved it! It’s so nice to have both sides of the building as most properties are duplexes. The house was extremely clean and very well decorated with anything and everything you would need to have a great time in the keys! The deepwater dock out back with nice fish cleaning station and hoses really complete the package. The owner Jody was a pleasure to deal with and was quick to respond with any questions we had. We will definitely be back next year to this little gem in key colony! Thank you for sharing your home with us Jody.. see you next year :)

House wah just as advertised. In the perfect locarion in the keys. 45 minutes from key west and 45 minutes from key largo. House has everything you need when traveling with kids. Everything you need from groceries, gas or rental equipment (fishing poles, boats ect) within 10 minute drive.
Owners very prompt in getting back if u have any question. Jody and her husband were wonderful to work with. We will be staying again.

Clean, high end property…was just beautiful and was stocked with everything we needed. We loved using the pool at the Cabana club and fishing off the dock at night. Owners had excellent communication.

Although we weren't sure that we were going to be able to come down on the tail end of Hurricane Ian we had excellent communication from Jody, the owner, who kept us up to date on the weather and any impact to the property. The house is a wonderful property in Key Colony Beach and we couldn't have asked for a better place to bring our boat and enjoy the area. Plenty of room for our trailer and car. The house was very well stocked with necessities and was clean and very comfortable for our family. We had everything we needed and had a wonderful week. Thank you Jody for your excellent communication and for sharing your amazing property! :-)

Was the most amazing property. For price would be better if owners would provide more (toilet paper, paper towels, baking sheet) Third bedroom is accessed from separate door and not from inside the house. Only truly negative thing about the house is the owner treating tenants like children, multiple texts about the trash/ garbage. I read your multiple page paper on requirements and rules. Followed them but yet still received multiple texts about the garbage.

This is the second time we have stayed at this property, and once again it is the perfect location in the Florida Keys. This time we brought our 30’ boat, and the boat dockage was excellent. The kids loved fishing off the seawall, and it was an easy and convenient walk to multiple restaurants when everyone got hungry.
We will definitely be back again next year.!

Great fishing trip
Great house for the city of Key Colony Beach. Was there with 3 other friends for a fishing trip. The neighbors were fun people as well. For fishing or family, this is a great place and great location.

Awesome stay in KCB
What a great week in the Keys! Loved the property, perfect location! The kitchen is well equipped and very clean. The mattresses and pillows probably need an update, but sheets and towels were in great condition. Having our own boat dock was so convenient! Thank you for a lovely stay!

Great location and property!
The location of this property is fantastic. We only went to the beach club once, but if we wouldn't have had a boat we probably would have went far more. The communication with the owner is as good as it gets. I never had any real issues but any time I did send a message, the owner always responded in a timely manner. It is one of the best canals we have stayed on because of the size. The property itself is very up to date and well kept. I will definitely book again.

Perfect family vacation
We had a great stay! Communication was wonderful. The house had great space for our family and was well equipped with everything we needed. We loved being able to fish off the dock and saw so many manatees in the channel. Our kids enjoyed the playground across the street, the relaxing park at the end of road and hitting the pool and beach at Cabana Bay was a highlight. Loved having bikes available. This home is in a great location for everything in Marathon and just a short drive to Key West or Islamorada. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a great stay!.

Key colony beach gem
We just completed a fabulous week at 56 7th st ! The experience was definitely one of our best.. down to the close proximity to parks, boat rentals, cabana club & dining spots… all within walking distance! The property owner is wonderful to work with and made sure we were well informed of all amenities and house rules and was very welcoming. The house is Very clean and cozy with spacious inside areas. We spent a lot of time enjoying the beautiful mornings and evenings on the patio and enjoyed the dock area for our boat rental. A Well equipped kitchen (we ate in a lot ), and just the perfect place for a glorious week of relaxation! Say yes to staying here your next visit to KCB. We certainly WILL!!

Plenty of space & a ton of Fun
This was our 5th trip to KCB and our 3rd time staying on 7th Street because of the wide canal and no houses in your view. Perfect spot if you want to paddleboard or kayak. Love the Cabana Club membership, they have an awesome pool and we biked there about every day. The funnest round of golf ever is available by walking out the front door along with bocce & shuffleboard courts. Must see places like Sombrero Beach & Bahia Honda are a short drive away. House was clean, spacious and we had no problems. Highly reccomned.

Any issues we had were quickly resolved the owner was very easy to get a hold of and was friendly.
The location was amazing- playground was right across the street and the golf course. The house has a big patio area great area to enjoy the evening.

Wow moments every morning in Key Colony!
Imagine waking up right before the sun rises and having coffee on the large back patio of a lovely home on the best canal in Key Colony! The amazing view of the sun rising each morning will start your day off just right! The home provided us with everything we needed. Clean, well stocked with all the necessities AND a big comfy bed! All furnishings were comfortable, and after a great day on the water it’s was a pleasure to drive our boat right up to the provided dock and be right there! I highly recommend this property and hope to return very soon! Ideal home for a family to enjoy. The owner was wonderful to work with. Our vacation was great!

Wonderful location!
We have stayed in the Keys for the last 4 years in a row. Everytime we go it gets better and better. This by far was the best place we have ever stayed. Not sure I want to let the cat out of the bag on this little secret get away! Easy access to bay and ocean, beautiful dock large enough for a boat and a jet ski! The house is beautiful! The updates are done nicely, everything is clean, furniture is nice, master bed was comfortable. Kitchen, storage and appliances are amazing! Not to mention the owners were so helpful, accommodating, flexible and super nice! I would rate this place a 10 star!

Fun and relaxing week
Jody was excellent to work with and arranged for an early arrival for us that was very appreciated. Home was lovely, well appointed and is located in an excellent location on a large canal. We brought our own boat and the dock was well maintained and we appreciated the fish cleaning station and hose.

Wonderful relaxing vacation
We stayed here for two weeks in June 2020. The property was wonderful for myself, my spouse, my two children, and my parents. Since we were practicing social distancing, we cooked a lot of our own meals and had everything that we needed. The covered porch overlooking the water is wonderful! There are three fans that always provide a nice breeze. Since this unit is both sides of the building (most units on seventh Street are just one side of a duplex), you had plenty of room to sit and relax and have family over for a nice dinner of your fresh catch! Jody was absolutely wonderful!! A+++++ on communication! He kept in contact leading up to our visit (since the Keys had been previously closed to tourists) and would check in periodically to make sure our stay was going well. We even had fresh bananas from the banana tress on the property!!

Fantastic Rental
Updated 3bdrm beauty on canal !! This home is wonderfully stocked and decorated . My husband and I have rented 4 other times on key colony and this has been our fav so far. Access in and out of property so easy . It’s a very short walk from Key Colony Inn and the Key colony beach club. Visiting the beach club and lounging by the pool is a must! We fished several days with the boat we rented . This property has a great dock and cleaning station. We will def. be back!! The Murrays
