If you want to visit the redwoods, this location can't be beat! Just minutes to various trails and visitors center. Be aware there's not much food-wise in Orick, so come prepared with groceries or be willing to drive a bit for restaurants. The house was clean, and I really appreciated the ability to do laundry and how well stocked the house was. The listing does need to be updated - I believe when I booked it had listed a hot tub and two tvs for example, there was no hot tub and only one tv. Not that either of those things are deal breakers.

Cottage was clean and as listed in the description. Check-in was easy. There is a small market nearby for those last-minute items you may want/need. Overall a great place to stay while visiting the redwoods!

On 101, the main highway through Orick. Although the speed limit is 45 through town, front door is 50 feet from 101.

Cute little house. Didn't expect it to be right in town. Pictures made it look more private and remote. But the house itself was very nice and comfortable.

The house is very conveniently located for hiking in Redwoods National Park. Comfortable for two couples with well equipped kitchen and two comfortable bed rooms. The only caution: their are very limited restaurant options in Orick...closest are 20-30 minute drives away.

We enjoyed our stay at Redwood Creek Cottage. Walked to the market a half block away to get food to grill for dinner. Not much of a selection but they had what we were looking for. Everything was very comfy including the beds. Sat out on the deck with the dogs to enjoy the evening. The coffee in the morning was most welcome. Thanks!

Great spot close to Redwood National Park, house was clean and short minute walk to the market. Even black berry bushes out back!

It was clean and comfortable

Location was ideal for redwood vacation. House is older but remodeled and nicely appointed. Elk spent the early morning eating in the yard. Need to bring your groceries and make your own meals. Nothing in town and burger stand isn’t always open.

Beautiful place! It was fantastically clean with everything we needed. And the beds were comfortable. It was an easy drive to see the spectacular redwood trees. Would stay here again and definitely recommend this place.

We loved the house. Very clean and looked exactly like the pictures. Beds were comfortable. We had a unique situation for our stay and Kristina was absolutely wonderful and accommodating and responded to my questions in a timely manner. Thank you!!

The location is super close to the Redwood National park and also a nice quiet beach to watch the sunsets. Unlike some of the other reviews, we did not have any issue with noise from the nearby road/highway. The place itself was equipped with all the amenities listed and had coffee/tea available. Communication with the host was quick and easy. Key tip is there really aren’t many food options within at least a 20-30 minutes drive (and it’s a dark drive at night in that area)… and we learned that almost every restaurant closes early on Sundays so plan your food options. There is a small convenience store and liquor store just a couple doors away so you can buy basic snacks and drinks easily. Small inconvenience given the proximity to why we visited there (Redwoods) so highly recommend!

We recently stayed at this Redwood Creek Cottage and could not have been happier with the location so close to most primary Redwood hiking trails. The property was clean, cozy, comfortable, and offered everything we needed (including washer/dryer that came in very handy).

This house in the small town of Orick was a great spot for exploring the nearby Redwood parks and trails. The house met all of our needs and was quite comfortable. The view from the back deck of the trees is beautiful.

Simple property but very clean and convenient. Plenty of room for our family of six - would definitely stay here again.

Spacious bungalow very near the entrance of the Redwood's State Park. Everything was clean and looked recently renovated. Pluses include location, space, good stock of utensils and kitchen supplies, huge washer and dryer and nice bathroom. Minuses include a fair amount of street noise from cars and trucks zipping by on Route 101, simple furnishings, linoleum flooring, dated cabinetry in the kitchen, noisy heater, and lack of dishwasher. Overall, it was a perfectly fine place to stay, but we were not eager to rush back after a day outdoors.

Functional 2 bedroom house that is inside the state park. making its location very attractive. But the house is on hwy 101 so noisy if you are a light sleeper like me. Bring your own food because there is only a small store in Orrick for food. If you need a restaurant it is 30 minutes drive.

Cozy and comfortable home just minutes away from Redwood National Park and Prairie Creek State Park. Close to beautiful beaches and some of the tallest trees in the world. We were greeted our first day by a herd of Roosevelt elk in the backyard. One of the nicest places we have stayed at in a long time. Would definitely come back again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Redwood cottage. It has a well equipped kitchen and a gas BBQ on the deck.. There are lots of great hiking trails nearby. We drove to nearby Elk Meadow each evening looking for Elk, but on the last afternoon we came home to find a beautiful Elk resting under the Mango tree in the yard. We sat on the deck watching him for a while until he got up and slowly walked past the deck so we could get some great pictures.

This home was exactly as described. Very clean and fully equipped with necessities. Could not have lived without the keurig. 😁. The mattress and bedding were very comfortable. Nice backyard patio to relax and enjoy your surroundings. There is a little market steps away from the property and a yummy snack shack down the road. Easily accessible right off the highway. Easy check in and great communication with Kristina. Will definitely stay again if ever in the area. Thank you for a wonderful place to stay during our travels.

One of the few places to rent right next to the park entrance, so location was a huge deal for us. It was a very nice home with all the fixings - pots, salt, coffee, tea, etc. Very comfortable place with a good amount of space - could easily fit two couples and even one more person on a pull out cot. It's right on 101 but you really don't notice the sound too much and there's a nice tree in the front yard with a bunch of birds in it. Supposedly elk are sometimes in the backyard but we didn't see any. If you're looking to go to the redwoods, this is one of the nicest spots to stay!

This was a very neat house with generous space in a perfect location to explore the redwoods. Also great communication with owner by telephone. We would gladly return.

My daughter and I were impressed with Redwood Creek Cottage and would recommend it to anyone! It had everything you might need for a relaying stay in the Redwood wonderland just around the corner.

We enjoyed our stay in Redwood Creek Cottage. The owners had obviously gone to some trouble to make the place comfortable and with most things that a family would need. The place was clean, the decoration was good and appliances seemed pretty new. It would be worth investing in some good outdoor furniture, but that is a minor point. Would recommend it as a nice place to stay in an excellent location for visiting Redwood country.

We loved the green backdrop of the cabin. Despite being so close to the highway there was not much noise at night. The provided amenities all worked well for what we used.
