House was great, weather was decent and the lake was cold. No fireplace shovel to clean out the fireplace. Kitchen could use some better cooking pans. Overall a nice property that we would come back to.

Watch out for the black bear mama and her two cubs! the boat dock was nice, easily accessible, just across the street.

The home is in great shape, very comfortable, well stocked kitchen and perfect layout for a home with two teens. We could all be together in the great room or seek our own spaces. We loved our private dock and the road around the lake. The setting on Stockslager road is particularly tranquil and near a cove where most motorized boats don't go. We also enjoyed the 2 mile trail around the lake - which began at our home. Cedar ridge was clean, well stocked, in great shape. We also had a very easy experience with Taylor-Made, who responded immediately to an incident when our outdoor bear box met a bear at night. We hope to return soon!

Less than 100 yards to the dock. The hot tub was clean and water clear. Maintenance responded within a few hours of request to fix a shower nozzle (they've been this fast to respond in previous years too). The house is clean and comfortable with a dinner table and separate high top/card table placed behind the couches to watch TV or eat. 2 things to improve: 1. Hot water is backwards in upstairs bathroom. 2. AC in smaller upstairs bedroom is nearly useless since the vent was placed under the bed. I bring a fan and have to keep the door open to have some fresh air.

Reviewer Comments: Despite needing general updating, Cedar Ridge has everything covered in terms of amenities. Most things were acceptable in terms of functionality and upkeep... with major exceptions of the filthy shower doors and dangerous dock. To start with the shower doors, the base channels were literally caked in disgusting thick black mildew. I'm not sure how the cleaning crews could overlook this detail. As for the dock, it is by far the worst that we've encountered in 20 years of vacationing at DCL. We would absolutely not recommend this property to anyone who owns a decent motorboat and expects to dock it safely! Here's the story: - On day 1 of our stay, we called about the protective rubber edging hanging off in several places. The friendly maintenance man came out immediately and secured the worn sections with screws. - Luckily, early on day 2 we decided to move our boat from inside of the U-shape to the wider side, mainly because the U-shape was too short and completely unstable with any waves. When we returned to the dock after a day of boating on day 2, the narrow side of the dock became disconnected - which would have caused major damage to our boat had we left it inside of the U-shape! To add insult to injury, we were left to precariously rig it into place ourselves for the night, after calling maintenance and being told that they were gone for the evening. This was totally unacceptable service in an unsafe emergency situation! - On day 3, we bought additional fenders to mount to the wide side of the dock, and maintenance finally secured the narrow side of the dock with a new shaft and pin. This fix only lasted 1 day before the cotter pin sheared off and left the narrow side in danger of becoming detached again. Fortunately, maintenance returned before we had to rig it again.

Roll away mattress pads had an odor to them but there is laundry in house so we did a load as soon as we arrived. The dryer requires 2 running to dry the load fully. Also, screws coming up on the dock boards. Otherwise this location has a wonderful layout & well kept grounds. Each bedroom with a television and appreciated the nice crock pot to have meals cooking while enjoying dock/lake time. The hot tub service company had to do an extra service call, perhaps more chemicals can be in the filter for more than 4 people coming for the week. We will be back.

BIG screen TV's, hot tub, fireplace, king beds, well stocked kitchen & more. The staff made checking in easy & they were all helpful & gave a warm welcome as well. They were very accomodating to us & we thank-you for treating us so good! The entire area is beautiful, lots to see & do, & many places to eat. We loved the house and the location. The deck was wonderful and very dog freindly! Great area set up for a fire next to the home. Enjoyed the privacy with the house being away from the other homesin that area. Yard was not condusive to setting up a corn hole game but the deck was large enough to play there. Boat dock was really nice too. We would definatley stay at Cedar Ridge again!

We had a wonderful time swimming and fishing off the docks (although there is quite a bit of movement when boats pass by). The kids had fun playing pool. The dogs enjoyed their walks down the road. We all enjoyed seeing lots of deer on our drives from the house to town. Apparently there is also a black bear in the neighborhood that we did not see, but he tipped over the trash bin twice. The beds were super comfortable; the kitchen was well stocked with plates, glasses, and pans. My only slight negative is that the furniture is not arranged to take advantage of the lake view, and the dock sways quite a bit. But these are minor compared to the relaxing vacation we enjoyed.

The house was great! It is a little off the beaten path, especially in a big snowstorm, but we had all the amenities that we needed. The hot tub was great after a long day of skiing! Our dog enjoyed the house as well… thanks for allowing dogs in your house!
