We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Capitola in general and this property in particular. I highly recommend it!

This home is perfectly located for anyone that wants to enjoy Capitola, and the Santa Cruz area. Aside from its terrific location, this house had all the amenities to make you feel comfortable and at home. It was also great to have the parking pass, which allowed on-street or garage parking, as it can be very difficult these days to find parking in Capitola. We would do it all over again if returning to Capitola.

The property was clean, and a great use of space for a small cottage

My family and I had an awesome time in the Capitola village. The house is in the perfect location and it’s very clean and comfortable. Such a nice gem! The owner is amazing to work with. We definitely plan on returning again!

We arrived on Thursday and drove the Shadowbrook for dinner. Could have walked! Drove to Gayle's Bakery one morning which was amazing. The bed is a full size, there is no dishwasher, nowhere to put luggage. We didn't spend much time there, but it is well appointed and comfortable. I did not attempt the stairs into the loft, but my sister in law said their kids loved it up there. It was good for my husband and I. It was a busy weekend in capitola. Parking was a bit stressful, but was ok. We never had to walk very far. It was nice and cool so house was perfect temperature with the fan. Host was very welcoming and we had no issues. Everything was good!

Close to downtown attractions and very peaceful.

Myself and two daughters headed to Capitola for a last minute getaway. My youngest was just home after 3yrs away in Okinawa in the Navy. Her leave was approved last minute - and this was her birthday (after 4away from us!). We were going further north but after the storms felt we would come back to Capitola to give one of our favorite places some love! Shelly was quick and easy to work with and we were delighted to get somewhere that fit us, in the village at such short notice! Everything was just what was needed. Such a well positioned base for five sunny beach days. The cottage was so clean, had all we needed and was just perfect for our week. The kitchen was well stocked - even a waffle maker! (No kettle for this Scottish mother! But with all else we cannot complain about that!) We had a little problem but Shelly was so gracious to us and accepting! Shelly was quick to respond, and at the same time gave us room to enjoy. She messaged to say our checkin and out times were flexible as her cleaning crew times allowed us more time. Really great stay and made great memories

Cute place. Cozy for single or couple. Convenient walk right into Capitola Village and Beach area shops and restaurants. Would definitely want to stay again! The host (Shelly) was easy to communicate with. That always helps! Loved it. Thank You!

The cottage was absolutely the best. Shelly the property owner was easy to communicate with and answered all our questions quickly. The condo was well stocked and had top notch appliances and kitchenware. We would highly recommend this property. The condo was a stones throw away from everything …. Shopping , restaurants and the beach. Like Shelly said. Literally park your car and never drive till you leave. First time in Capitola but not the last. You have to make Shadowbrook Restaurant a goal to eat at. We did … 2 nites in a row. This property got an A++++ grade from us. We’ll be definetly coming back to Capitola and Staying at this property. Walking distance from town shopping and beaches, and access to bike trails, Santa Cruz and close to freeway this little hideaway is perfect for a couple and small family. Although it advertises for 4, the loft space is high and small. There is no outdoor space in this beach bungalow. The kitchen was well stocked, sofa bed seemed comfortable, and whole house was spotless. The owner was quick to respond to all my questions and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was a comfortable and relaxing one in this very special town.

The house is in a great location, it’s thoughtfully decorated, the bed and pullout bed were very comfortable, and the owner was responsive and generous.

We had an amazing stay at Shelly’s little place in capitola. Clean, perfect location, everything you needed for cooking or block walk to restaurants and coffee. Quiet area for being so close to the happening village of capitola. We had our 1 year old and us. It was a bit hot in the house for sleeping but they have lots of fans. Easy check in and out, great communication and she made our stay feel special with no rush to get out on a Sunday. Thank you for letting us stay Shelly!

We had a wonderful time. Ran the race on Sunday and didn't have to walk up the steep hill to catch the bus. Beds were really comfortable and property is around the block from the beach. Will rent this property again.

Comfy, clean, fully equipped, located right in the village, 3 minute walk to the beach. The kids loved the spacious loft room while we were tucked in downstairs, the couch also folds out into a comfy queen sized bed. Came with beach chairs, umbrellas, etc…. Reasonably priced, 5 stars

This house is perfect for 4 people. The location is perfect. The house is very clean and updated. The manager was very helpful and response time is very fast. We will definitely be renting again.

Great location . Able to walk to beach for surfing. Small but cozy. Only complaint garbage bend under sink much too small!!

This cute cottage in the heart of Capitola Village is easy to enjoy! We’ll rent it again sometime, although maybe not in winter. The heat is an on/off switch, no thermostat.

We stayed for a memorial service and the owner was very accommodating and attentive to our needs. The house I was very clean and the location was amazing. Would stay again!
