The overall experience with the Lake house was nice. It had more than adequate space for 4 couples and two children. I am sure other groups would love the pool table and foosball table. The views were amazing and many beautiful sunsets were admired. The lake was warm and inviting. There was a slide off the side of the property that was not indicated in the add. Water was not available to use with the slide. Owners should indicate if they wish for it to be used or not. The pontoon boat was a nice addition to the rental although flags were not found and lights did not easily come on. For a rental of this size and being so far from a store it would have been helpful to have two refrigerators. Several items typically in a rental home were not available such as hand soap for bathrooms. We also had to purchase towels as there was not an adequate amount for each person. There were not enough pillows for the number of people who were staying in the house. The house did not appear to be cleaned well prior to our arrival as large piece of glass were found on the floor in bedrooms and throughout the home. The basement restroom/shower had visible dirt on the floor and many insects. A basement bedroom with no windows did not have a working light or ceiling fan. The owner was contacted and no assistance was given to resolve the situation other than ordering a new fan/light. We ended up going to another store and buying a lamp for the week that we were there. This would not have resolved the issue as the light fixture was getting no power. It was discovered that the filter had not been changed since 2019 which is possibly why many members of our group were struggling with allergies. The power went out a few times during our visit due to some people removing trees up the road. This was a problem when using a crockpot to make dinner. This was a nice location for a group who wishes to completely disconnect from others and enjoy a relaxing time. It was also great for those who wish to explore new adventures in Pigeon Forge, Dollywood, Deerfarm horse riding and petting zoo. For those who wish to engage in water sports those could be found a few miles away for a price.

The Lake and location were perfect. AC broke but got fixed within day, send a lawn cutter during our stay which someone on trip is allergic to fresh cut grass, no heads up they just showed, sent tru green another day,and also culligan. There were no pillow cases left for us and only 2 wash cloths for an entire week of a group of 10, 1 roll of tp in bathrooms and we found dirty spiderman underwear in an endtable, also the back porch is in rough shape boards are cracking and nails coming up, the ceiling fan from the balcony missing an arm so couldnt have a breeze at all. There isnt a keurig as the website states nor a firepit just so everyone is aware. So our trip was interrupted alot, the owner thought we wanted his boat for week which we paid 600 to use, which only had approximayely 9 gallons of gas which we put 12 in before we left, got bill for 19 gallons on way home , which we paid immediately and than the owner attempted charging me and effort fee of 50, hahaha nope not paying.however, the experience wasnt fun we still made our vacation fun!

The house was very nice, the view of the lake was amazing. We really enjoyed being able to access the lake, the large dock was great. The walk to the dock is alittle steep, but worth the walk. The beds are super comfortable. The only complaint I had is the smell of the water, it is very strong! The manager was upfront about the smell when I asked. We took bottled water and did just fine. I would defiantly vacation here again!

The house was beautiful, clean, and spacious. Owner was easy to communicate with and helpful. The new dock was great.

The house and view are wonderful! But the water is horrible! We bought water to drink and cook with. The house was surface clean but we found drink boxes and food under the edge of the furniture. Rugs in basement was filthy.

The property was beautiful just like the pictures but it wasn't clean it was a whole waffle under the down stairs queen bed and as soon as we walked in the smell was terrible especially when you turn on the water we had to go and get another room somewhere to wash because the water and house smelled horrible the downstairs queen suite bathroom shower didn't work and the shower heads in every bathroom was black and just discusting the smell is really bad in this lodge and I feel like the owner should tell people before they rent this place

Getting to the property was a bit confusing for someone who has never been there before . The property was beautiful and house was nice and spacious.... but the smell from the water pipes were overwhelming. Not sure if it’s sulfur or iron. Smelled like rotten eggs. When we first turned on kitchen sink black stuff came out of it. Would of liked a stairs or ramp getting down to the lake to fish. Overall it was a peaceful stay and enjoyed the cabin and little get away.

Check in was great and easy . The house is nice , looks like the owners have started doing some home improvements- new carpet , new counter top on some of the kitchen counters , nice furniture . The second you walk in the door the smell hits you . It’s is unbelievable. I learned some about well water and sulfur . I do not see how anyone can enjoy the house and location through the smell , it’s constant . We were told that it is listed on the owners VRBO , it is not , we looked again to make sure . There are a couple of reviews with comments about it . We were told it was ok to shower in even though ALL of the fixtures were black or in the process of turning black from the water 🤢 some of us took very quick showers and tried not to puke in the shower from the smell , I’ve never been so happy to take a shower at home ! Besides the smell ,the house was not very clean , that lies more on the cleaning company I feel . There was clumps of hair in the master shower, kitchen table was filthy , had not been wiped off ,floors were dirty and sticky ( even after we mopped in the kitchen ) , we found pieces of egg in the bedroom floor , trash outside in the backyard , several broken tiles in the master bath . Just several things not cleaned . The owner did contact the cleaning company which came back out and mopped the kitchen again and cleaned up the egg but still didn’t clean the master shower . The house is beautiful and could make for a really nice lake house but it needs some work and some kind of filtration system needs to be done with the water . We only used bottle water for everything . For 2400.00 + for 3 nights I expected really nice . We didn’t get it . If the owner puts some money into this rental it can be great , until then it would be a hard pass .

We were given the wrong address and didn't have good service to get a hold of the owner. We drove around lost for more than 30 minutes before we found it on our own. The address had changed but the owners didn't bother to let us know. This house was dirty. I had to clean it myself after the cleaners left (late). The kitchen cabinets doors are falling off, AND the smell of the well water will KNOCK YOU BACK!!! There is nothing they can do to make it any better, no matter what they say. When you turn on the sink or the shower, the smell is horrible. In their pictures, they are still showing a dock in the water and there is NO DOCK. It hasn’t been there for over a year. You have to climb backwards down an aluminum ladder to get to the water. We had a pregnant woman and an 82 year-old man who could not get down to the water to swim. Also, you have to have a dock in order to rent a pontoon boat overnight. The owners know this but haven’t fixed it and are still posting pictures with the old dock. They are nice people, but they are gouging everyone with their price. It is not worth it!!!

As long as you can get over the strong smell of sulfur, the place is perfect. Anytime you turn on water, the sulfur smell is extremely strong. However the views and the property is amazing. Very hard to find according to the vrbo addrress. They changed the address and didn't update it with vrbo.

Location and view were great. Loved the view of the lake from the living room and kitchen.

We had the best time at 1Ski Lodge! The house was clean, location was amazing, and the property manager was very easy to reach! We will be back!

The home was very clean. Overall we had a good time. There was a dock shown in the pictures but it was out of the water when we were there. Wi-fi didn't work the whole time. The owner tried to assist but was not successful. There were some maintenance items that needed to be addressed. Probably 75% of the light bulbs we're out and one of the bathroom toilets didn't work. Just a little bit of work this would be a Five Star Rental No Doubt.

The house was spacious, clean, and nestled perfectly in a cove on Douglas Lake with beautiful views in the morning and evening. If you’re planning on bringing a boat to the house, I would recommend checking with the property owner BEFORE renting the place as we did have a problem that had to be resolved after booking that proved to be a bit of a headache. Bring extra jugs of fresh water as the sulfur smell and taste mentioned in many reviews is DEFINITELY a real thing. Even with those 2 large issues, we did have a great time at this beautiful property.

The stay was great and it was a beautiful location but the only complaints was the dock was not in the water and the house has sulfur water so it has a bad smell, other than that it is a great place to rent!

Everything was fantastic. Great view, plenty of room for a family vacation. Only issue was the water. Sulphur water, which we were made aware of by the owner. I would highly recommend this property.

The location is awesome. Owner was responsive. The house has many nice features but needs the owner to take the time and money to make it worth the money. During the week the main floor air conditioner did not work. We slept in 83-85 degree temps. The owner had a ac service come out but they could not fix it. The “slight “ sulfur smell is actually very strong. Taking a shower or washing the dishes was really rough. The master shower stall is covered in black stains and the shower head barely worked. I felt bad having my wife shower in it. The walking ramp to the dock fell apart after a few days and when I told the owner it was dangerous he asked if we built it? Very strange. Both the deck and bottom outdoor area were covered in spiderwebs, the furniture was not clean and the cement pad outside the bottom floor was covered with green mold. Again the location is great and the house has great potential but to be worth what they charge it needs lots of care.

Best vacation ever! Loved everything about this place - if we return to the area will check availability!! Great owners and quick to respond.

Beautiful home and lake! We truly enjoyed everything about the house except the sulfur smell. The owner did send someone out immediately when I called about it but it was still more than I cared for when taking baths. I am told it is somewhat normal for a slight smell but the odor was pretty strong. Everything else was top notch.

From 1st walking in and seeing, so amazing

The house was beautiful! Very big with plenty of room for all 10 of us! Beds were very comfortable which was a huge plus! However, wifi was advertised on the website and when we got there, there was none. This was an issue as my daughter is taking an online college course and 2 of us had some work related issues that needed to be taken care of. Also, when we arrived, there was a horrific smell of sulfur throughout the house. Someone was there attending to it. However, the smell did not go away. We called the owner after about the 2 day and he was apologetic and said he would see what he could do and would get back to us....we heard nothing! We ended up buying a lot of bottled water and some of us ended up showering in the lake as it was that bad. Overall, we did make the best of it and had a wonderful vacation! The lake is beautiful and very quiet. Loved it!!!

The property is directly on a cove of the lake near a marina with amenities. We brought our own boat, had a great time checking out the lake and jumping off the cliffs that the owner told us about. We shared the house with friends/ kids, lots to do when at the house if not on the water. Great time looking forward to coming back again.

This cabin was beautiful and very breathtaking. My family had a wonderful time and we will be sure to return. The view of the lake was nice to look at while eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner on the back porch. The cabin was very private and peaceful. The owners were easy to work with and replied quickly to all my questions. Also the place was very well kept and clean. I would recommend staying here!!!!

This has to be one of the best and biggest lodges in the area. Extremely cozy and everything seemed to be updated. Also, the views of the lake are incredible. We came on a whim in November but could see ourselves coming back for the summer months since there are hiking trails close by and the lake right there. It would also be a great destination for a large family to who is looking for a destination to spend the holidays. We'll be back for sure!
