Great location to allow you and yours to go on whatever adventures you'd like to for the day. The view is amazing and house is perfect for a family to dine in our just kick back and relax.

When we stayed there updates were needed. There is no tv, Just Ruko. Most of the time it did not work. I would suggest having the modem in the living room for better coverage. The bed on the main room is hard as a rock, we couldn’t even sleep on it. Also in the room with two beds, the sheets were huge and would not stay on. The back deck had a beautiful views. However The rails on the desk were very lose and their are huge spaces between the wood. This would not be safe for young.

Was just what we needed for a long weekend for fishing. Simple no fuss...

I gave this listing 4 stars, mostly because it isn’t really what most people think of when they think of a 5 star stay. It’s exactly what I picture when I think of a family vacation home. It’s an older home, and it’s been well loved. It’s a bit shabby but comfortable and really clean. It’s much larger than it appears from the front. We slept on the King size bed and while it wasn’t the most comfortable mattress we ever slept on., it was far from the worst. (And mattresses are a very personal thing anyhow.). As the listing says, this home could very comfortably sleep 6. The shining star here is the beautiful view and the expansive deck to enjoy it from. We saw a couple of bald eagles pass by at least four or five times within 24 hours. We visited Cumberland Falls and Natural Arch scenic area while we stayed here. Both were definitely worth seeing, although the Arch requires a bit of work to see, as there are around 160 steps down to get to it. It seemed like a lot more on the way back! I cannot speak to the internet as we were never able to access it. Our phone data worked great though. We didn’t try to watch tv either. My biggest negative is the communication with the host, but this did not factor into my rating. We never got any of the emails that they sent, and in some cases even sent twice,, except for the messages they sent via the VRBO site. Between the two of us we spent better than an hour searching email/trash and junk but never found them. The host had the correct email address so I’m not sure where the problem was. All in all, it was a relaxing weekend.

Great location and nice view. The house is adequate and clean. The owners were responsive and friendly. Near great hiking and water activities.

The house was small but perfect for the four of us and two small dogs. It had everything we needed for a six day relaxing vacation. the house was clean as were the linen and towels provided. The kitchen, also clean, had what we needed to prepare meals. We brought our own grill utensils because my father is a grill snob. The deck is a perfect spot to watch the sun rise. One thing to keep in mind is the internet is painfully weak. When I was online with my graduate coursework, nobody else could get on. Streaming had a lot of buffering. Bring DVD's for the evening movie and popcorn. I felt comfortable contacting Jim and Clara at any time. They responded quickly. Even gave us a couple of good ideas for short day trips.

Great deck and view. Exactly what we needed for staying and site seeing in the area.

Was great as usual. Great view and we even saw a beautiful rainbow over the lake.

Great to relax watching the lake end of the day

This property has a beautiful lake view and was much nicer than the pictures. If it was only adults, or older teens, absolutely wonderful. I was there with my 4 kids (9,8,5,3) and the railing was broken in some places and very loose. So much so that I was uncomfortable letting my kids be outside since there was a small rocky drop from the deck which turned into a big drop to the lake. This place was great except if you have small children.

Inside home mattresses need to be updated Felt like we were sleeping on plywood. Driveway was rough parking with a 24 foot boat to turn around. View was pleasant. Overall good price for the value.

Perfect for Master Musicians Festival weekend. Close enough to Somerset to have easy access, but far enough away to have that lake vibe. Clean, laid back location. Fantastic view.

Beautiful lake view, better than the pictures show. Quiet, peaceful neighborhood. Close to everything. Very clean. Quaint house on the lake. House looks small from the pictures, but very roomy. Thanks for the vacation rental. Had a great time.

Was perfect for our group. Beautiful view and with the cooler weather the fire pit came in handy. Coming back again in August

The view from the deck was amazing. The sunrise for us early birds was breathtaking. The house had everything we needed. It was an easy drive to Somerset for activities, restaurants, and groceries. We also visited a couple of the area marinas.

when we walked we we sighed. It was dimly lite,low watt bulbs in all lamps and dining room overhead light. Kitchen had better light. Bath appeared clean. Kitchen was not clean! Cabinets were sticky. Oven was crusty,I ran the self clean option. Micro was ok. Dishwasher had dried food on silverware basket. I ran an empty cycle through it to remove the yuck. Main complaint was how cold it was. It was never over 65 inside in the evening and sometimes 70 inside in the day. It was chilly,windy,and rainy out so made the space cooler. The deck was the saving grace, beautiful view of the River,marina and lake houses. Furniture was to soft. One Queen bed felt right to our bodies out of 4 beds available. Glad I brought sweats.

This was a short notice decision to go somewhere for the weekend for us, Jim and Clara were awsome to work with. The house was very nice and spacious for our needs. It was clean and well kept. We would definitely stay there again.

Great view overlooking Cumberland Lake. Very quiet and with Somerset close by there are plenty of places to eat.

Very competitively priced. Nice view and very cozy feel. Restaurants and stores were nearby. Would rent again!

It was a quiet comfortable place to relax and do nothing. We enjoyed the fire pit and the surrounding area.

The property is a little older but really nice and quaint. One big suggestion, please install a handrail going up the five stairs. My 83 year old Mom really struggled to climb those. The view was beautiful and had everything we needed.

Had a small hiccup with checking in but owner was more than accommodating and responded very quickly. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in the area. Awesome back porch views!!!

We so enjoyed getting away to celebrate a special birthday. Plenty of room for the 5 of us - loved the deck and the views from it. Great tables for games and cards. Great location - close enough to take our car to the Somernites cruise in, but far enough away to get away from it all!
