Great spot. Large house with plenty of room. A little dated but you can clearly tell they are slowly trying to update. Neighbor was super friendly. Yard could use a little TLC but not so bad that we wouldn't stay again.

Had a good time at the house. House is in a good location in relation to the beach and to get to town.

This is a very nice property that is close to the water in both directions. If you like to kayak, there are two but you best have a kayak carrier if you choose to use them. The kitchen is fairly well furbished however, bring your own sponge/dish rag and possibly your own bottle of Dawn. There is a good washing machine and dryer in the kitchen but bring your own detergent/softener. Bathrooms are good with very nice towels; mgmt supplies hotel bars of soap and shower gel. If you are fussy about your toilet paper, bring your own. TV and Internet works really well. Beds are magnificent and cozy to sleep in. This place makes it easy to have a very nice vacation on St. George Island.

Very comfortable, great location and great for the pups!

My wife and I stayed with our 2 small dogs and a couple of friends. The house was a short walk to both the beach and the bay in either direction, just a few minutes each way. We couldn’t have asked for better location. The fully fenced yard was fantastic for the pups and is hard to find in many beach areas. The house had everything we could’ve possibly needed. As with other older homes we’ve stayed at on the island, some remodeling and touch-up work is needed and a deep clean may be beneficial, but we had a great time and this house was perfect for our needs! Highly recommend.

The property was exactly as described. It is an older home that has had upgrades and seems to be continuing with upgrades. The house is very spacious and roomy with plenty of room to move around for all of us and our two fur babies. The fenced in yard is a blessing for the pups. The only con about the yard was that the back yard needed cutting badly, but we know the weather has been crazy lately. The decorations in the yard are adorable and eccentric. We loved the fairy lights and statues. We loved that there were two kayaks with paddles and lifejackets available. My 18, 21, 22 year olds and myself greatly enjoyed them one day. There were plenty of items provided in the kitchen for cooking as long as you don't want to cook a gourmet meal, but who does on vacay? We also loved the gates at the bottom of the deck steps to hold the dogs until we were ready for them to get to the yard. The under house parking was awesome! The beds were comfortable, but I would have preferred something on the master window that kept the sunrise out a little more. I have trouble sleeping with light, but woke up to a beautiful sunrise early every morning. The neighbors were very friendly, also! We had a great time and would definitely return!

Fantastic experience! Perfect, no frills home with lots of privacy inside and out. Perfect for a stay with pets. Perfectly located between bay and beach. Neighbors on the street very friendly. Friendly management that provided everything needed.

Property was older but comfortable and very conveniently located. St. George Island was a great place to relax.

We planed a last minute trip to SGI with our dog. Comfortable bed, convenient walk to beach. Great property for our ACD. We misunderstood the check in process, but Sammy was very understanding and accommodating.

The fenced in yard was a blessing. The house was spacious and very comfortable.

Positives: great yard for dogs Easy walk to bay for sunsets, and ocean for the rest of the day Nice quiet neighborhood Property manager good to work with Not so Positives: House is dated, and several small issues / poor condition of items, both inside and outside. For example - We were a month long rental, so a decently stocked kitchen was important. Ended up buying a set a chef knives in order to do some basic cook prep. Several dishes were not clean when pulled out of cabinets. Vacuum cleaner almost unusable. For the $ spent we expected a house in better condition. Have rented a different place when we return in 2023.

Nice, secluded house close to the bay. Sunset on bay was great. Good fresh food at friendly restaurants with good service. Loved the front porch and outdoor shower. We'll be back.

We greatly enjoyed our time on St. George Island at this rental. It worked out great for us and our relatives we vacationed with as our home base for exploring the Forgotten Coast. We would stay here again.

There was an issue with the home not being cleaned when we checked in, but the service told us the former renters had not checked out on time. It was clean by the time we returned from dinner/grocery shopping. The home is exactly what we had expected: while somewhat outdated, it had everything we had hoped. The space was more than ample, and you could hear the waves from the porch. It was a short walk to the beach and the area was nice and quiet. A few repairs need to be done, but the home worked well for.our family. We would definitely stay there again!

We felt at home at the Rosemary. We are older couple with 2 medium dogs. It was perfect for us. Great indoor and outdoor living. We especially loved the outdoor shower. Our dogs had a comfortable stay too. They had a blast chasing the lizards. The fenced in yard and tree’d yard is the main reason we picked this house. It was a good location between the gulf and the bay. The house was perfect size. The kitchen fully stocked and laundry appliances right off the kitchen. We only stayed and occupied main living area and master suite. I loved the master closet. The rooms were really cute. We will definitely be in touch next Year when we plan our return. Thanks again!

Great place, especially if you have a dog, 2 minute walk to the beach and all the neighbors are friendly. The Internet is very good, but does gets spotty during storms(whole island not this property). Central area of island has grocery and 4 restaurant. You can head to Appalachicola for more. I'd definately rent here again

Property manager failed to respond to messages sent through VRBO, didn’t answer phone numbers, or return voicemails leading up to stay. Finally answered the afternoon of scheduled check in and alerted it would be late check in due to Spring break. The Rosemary was in need of extensive cleaning; check in wasn’t available until after 8 pm. Once able to settle in, we found the house to be lacking in common home items such as bath mats, pot holders, hangers, light bulbs in lamps, etc. Beds were made with wet sheets; we had to take off and dry prior to sleeping. Rodent droppings in dishes in kitchen cabinets. We had to do extra cleaning to make the home liveable. We asked for 1 night discount as compensation; property manager refused; was apathetic to this report. He said - “you know we don’t deep clean these houses in between stays”. I would NOT recommend this house or this management. Renters BEWARE.

We and our two dogs really enjoyed the house, the fenced in yard, the neighborhood, the bay and the beach. We made good use of the provided kayaks and bay access at end of the street. Everything in the house was as described, no surprises. Hope to have a stay at Rosemary again in the future.

Enjoyed our stay

Perfect rental for bringing our 8 month old lab puppy for her first beach trip!! The owners have made this property very welcoming and stress free for dog families!!! The fenced yard and outdoor shower were perfect! We brought our own king sheets to cover couches for an extra layer of protection. We were very relaxed and comfortable!

We loved being close to bay this time visiting the island. We also loved that the owners allowed us to use their kayaks. This was a big reason why we picked this house in addition to the fenced in yard. The inside of the house was dated but that's fairly typical for the island so no big deal. The kitchen was missing some key pieces like a frying pan that was big enough to cook bacon. Unfortunately the cleaning crew was down a person - again not normally a big deal but I wish the rental company had communicated with us earlier when they found out since we didn't end up being able to check in until 5:45pm. All an all it was a great time and a great location close to the bay for amazing sunsets.

Accidentally skipped by cleaning crew. Sammy promptly handled the situation. Will book again!!

we enjoyed the house and the location. the ability to have our dogs with us was great, and they enjoyed getting out in the yard. the house was as depicted in the pictures, dated but reasonable furnishings (needs a new dust pan). overall a very pleasant stay, as we are low maintenance folks. we would stay again.

The good - house is centrally located between the gulf and bay with a decent sized lot. Four bedrooms and two baths were adequate for our family. The bad - upon arrival the house smelled clean but as we settled in we noticed dirty dishes and hair in the bathrooms. Overall the kitchenware is in need of replacement. We noticed a safety issue that needs to be addressed once we walked out on the back deck. The deck would sway away from the house with each step and noticed it was not secured to the house. Other maintenance items such as overgrown weeds / grass and general overgrowth of trees were not representative of the pictures. We had to cut off a few branches at the entrance to keep the branches from scrapping the car. We also could not lock the front door since the electronic lock button did not work. No key was provided. Overall - I would not recommend this property.

I really enjoyed staying at this rental. Close enough to the beach and the bay. I had trouble checking in but the property manager was there in a few minutes to fix the problem. I would recommend this house again. John

We had a wonderful time on the island and the house was great. Our dogs enjoyed being able to roam around in the fenced in yard and we enjoyed lounging around in the covered area under the house when the weather prevented us from getting out. Would highly recommend this rental if you plan on staying on the island. Looking forward to our next trip!
