Absolutely loved this property! A true log cabin with all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay-great open flow layout to living areas and outdoors! Wish we could’ve stayed longer! Thank you Alfred & Hillary helping to make a memorable time for all!

We stayed at this amazing log cabin on a lake for 2 weeks. We're a mom, dad, and 6-year-old daughter. We all loved it! The house is large, open, and spacious, full of big windows with views of the forest and the lake. It's very clean and comfy. the beds were EXTRA comfy. We used the fireplace at night. We sat on the dock all the time and watched the water. We used the kayaks and paddleboards. We explored the islands on the lake and swam at those--they are like little sandbars in the middle of the lake. Around the dock at the house, the kids would swim, but it does have plant life and squishy stuff on the bottom. I enjoyed swimming at the islands, which have regular sandy bottom. We did some fishing and some grilling. We saw a big turtle (and fed him bread, which he loved), a frog, deer, and tons of birds. The house has a library of fabulous books. The screened-in porch was my favorite place. I loved it all and can't wait to go back some time!

This a perfect place to spend a few days -- the house is exactly the way it is described, and the lake is quiet and lovely. We had a great time kayaking, paddle boarding and just hanging out!

This place is a hidden gem. We were pleasantly surprised with the beautiful location, the cozy feel of the spacious log cabin, the impeccable cleanliness and a no hassle stay. Highly recommend!

6 of us had not been together for over 2 years due to Covid. The house and beautiful setting were perfect for a relaxing time catching up. Short drive to Monadnock for a great hike. Look forward to staying here again in the future!

Small group of friends stayed here for a winter weekend away/at a cabin. It was perfect! Beautiful cabin with plenty of space and charm to it. Host was responsive and reasonable. Close enough to amenities you would want/need. Had everything you would want to create great memories on a vacation rental. Safe, clean, reasonable host, and the real deal exceeds the pics/description. Highly recommend!

We had an absolutely wonderful time. The property Owners were great to work with and accommodating. They went above and beyond to be sure we had everything we needed for a fantastic trip! Home was lovely and the view stellar!

This rental was immaculately clean and the views are gorgeous! It has a rustic log cabin charm and all the kitchen equipment you need for a comfortable stay. If you forget something, the supermarkets are just a short drive away. Other than the furniture being a bit sparse, it was the perfect place for our family holiday overflow!

My family looks forward all year to staying at this home for our brief vacation. The amenities are tremendous and the atmosphere is so relaxing! You don't need to bring much when you stay here. You can relax in a kayak or seek out lovely local spots or nearby Keene for fun activities. You will miss out if you don't book this spot.

The house itself is quite spacious, well maintained, clean, and full of many great books. It is located on a peaceful part of a pretty and clean lake. We enjoyed going out in the kayaks and paddle boards, as well as swimming off the dock. We also enjoyed both hikes on nearby mountains and just relaxing in the house doing puzzles and reading. I am very particular about cleanliness/home maintenance and I highly recommend this property.

The photos as amazing as they are do not do this place justice. It feels luxurious and just like home all at once. Though the later might be the the incredible effort Alfred and Hilary make prior to and during your stay to make sure you are well informed, well prepared and well stocked. They are incredibly generous to offer such a vacation to us all. We cannot wait to book our next stay (but with Grandpa this time too!)

Such a beautiful spot on a lovely lake. Quiet location with lots of deck space, a screened porch and a dock! 50-year old cabin has lots of charm and a nice open floor plan and tons of windows, so there is plenty of light--especially lakeside! The week we were there was very gray, cold and rainy, but we did pull off lunch on the dock and kayaking one day when there was sun--and it was glorious. (Having spent lots of time at our own family cabin in Utah, we felt very at home.)

My best friend and I had a lovely weekend escape in the spring with our families. The property was perfect for our needs (accommodating 7 comfortably) and the location was easy to find. Kitchen was well stocked and everything was very clean. At the end of the day, we loved being able to cozy up to the fire for ultimate relaxation. We can't wait to come back up again when we can enjoy the water!

Driving up to the house was exciting. As we entered and realized that the house is even better than the pictures, I was blown away. I know we would have a great weekend. It was so relaxing and such a great time. I can not wait to return. Next time we will definitely stay longer than just a weekend.

Spacious home with lots of nooks for enjoying indoors, outdoors and views of the lake. We especially enjoyed the fire ring, kayaks and nearby bike path. Hiked Mt. Monadnock, which is a short drive away, and checked out a couple of scenic local towns. Good communication with owner.

We had a fantastic weekend at your well kept cabin by the lake. We were in town for a wedding in Jaffrey and needed to stay some place nearby. We only wish we would have stayed longer. The house has everything you might need during your stay. The cabin was much bigger than pictured. Alfred was a wonderful host and very attentive. If we are in the area again we would definitely stay again.

This was a return trip because we love this house. It is so well appointed. Having the kayaks handy is wonderful. Building a little campfire is easy with a great fire ring and plenty of wood on site.. Beds are super comfortable. The owner is very responsive to occasional questions both before an during the stay. There are great walking trails nearby. We had great weather but liked having the large screen porch option. Hopefully we will return.

We had an amazing long weekend at this beautiful home. The owner was very easy to reach when needed for minor things. We had so much fun and hope to rent again!!

This property is outstanding - the home, the location, the lake and Ohhhh- the books! Everything you could ever need to reset, revitalize and renew. We enjoyed everything about this place and it is even better (hard to imagine!) then the pictures describe. Thank you Alfred.

Our group of 6 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the lake. The screened in porch was our nightly hangout area for dinner and board games. We had everything we needed and Alfred was so quick responding to messages and offering local suggestions. (Kimball Farm ice cream did not disappoint!) If you’re considering this property just book it!

We had a good time at the lake house. Inside was clean and comfortable. The outside area were nice but some areas could use a little attention and cleaning. All in we had a very good stay. Alfred was easy to get ahold of and attentive.

The owner, Alfred responded right away, and was kind enough to give a late check out. The view is lovely. We read, relaxed and hiked.

Myself and 3 friends stayed for a long weekend and had a great time. Alfred was more then helpful and the house was amazing. The ice fishing was good if your into standing out in the cold for 8 hrs at a time...haha. We all did well out there and the house was great to come back to and warm up. 5 star experience We would love to do it again next year

We very much enjoyed our weekend in this beautifully appointed log cabin on the lake. It had everything we could possibly need. We only wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the property and amenities.

This property is gorgeous with great attention to detail. It is maintained beautifully. We enjoyed the kayaks, the fire pit, as well as a few books and took advantage of the spacious kitchen to eat most of our meals.Shopping for essentials was very convenient. You really just need to bring your clothes and food. Nearby Keene made for a leisurely afternoon with a little specialty shopping. We were greatly impressed with the owner's availability and responsiveness via email. We cannot wait to return!

My family and I rented this home to stay in for a family wedding that was at the woodbound inn which was about a mile away. It ended up being cheaper than what the woodbound inn was going to charge us and.... let me tell you, more spacious and gorgeous! Our extended family that had been staying at the Woodbound Inn couldn't believe when they walked into this house and saw how amazing it was. Alfred was amazing to communicate with. He did everything he could to make sure we were settled in and happy and I couldn't say enough great things about this home! I highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a place to stay especially if you've got a bigger family and don't want to stay at the Woodbound Inn!
