Out of all the places we’ve stayed in Destin, this condo is by far our favorite!!

We’ve stayed at Silver Shells for years and always had a great experience until this trip…starting at check in we were not given the right code so had to wait 20 minutes for Tom to get ahold of his wife. When we walked into the unit I noticed it was decorated so cute and beachy but I felt like I was on the beach as the floor had sand all over it in kitchen, master bath and master bedroom closet. I also found a safety pin and trash on floor of closet so I don’t think it had been swept at all. Kitchen floor also had a grimey feel to it the whole trip. Handle on one of the bedrooms was broke and as was mentioned in another review outside doors don’t lock from the inside or have dead bolts. I texted again and never received a reply. The next day I contacted owner to ask for another key card and was told he didn’t have anyone to bring us one and he’d have it to us the next day and he’d get back with me. Had to reach out again to be told someone would leave one in our unit which I thought was odd they’d let someone in our unit when we weren’t there. Never once were we told they were sorry for any of these inconveniences. It was more like if they ignored us we’d go away…I rarely reach out to owners but we’ve never had issues like this. I hate to give a negative review but when you pay a premium price you expect a premium stay. As far as the property it’s a beautiful resort and we’ll be back, just won’t stay in this unit.

We had the most fabulous experience staying at this beautiful condo. Our Hosts were so gracious helping us get into the condo when we first arrived. The 2 masters and bunk room was perfect. The art work in this condo is exceptional. Perfectly located in Destin, Fl. There is something cool about having the beautiful ocean and a fantastic big pool right out your front door. The whole complex is fabulous. The ocean water temperature was so warm. It was great. The town of Destin offers so many fun things to do fot the young and the old. And the eating venues are really good also. We can't wait to return to our new favorite spot to rest, relax, and chill.

View amazing. Layout of the condo, excellent. Area, awesome! So accessible to parking, food, beach. Restaurants nearby. Shopping nearby. The beach- beautiful. Things that brought the rating down…The mattress in the second bedroom is toast. Needs replaced. The condo could have been a bit cleaner- needs detailing (fingerprints on windows, sand on floor, doorways, handles dirty.). Beach towels would be a great addition also. Overall though, a great place to stay, and will return to this area again!

Did not like the idea that front door and patio doors did not lock! Did not like the fact that the 3rd bedroom had an outside access door! We did not feel safe leaving a baby in that room. We got 3 keys for 4 adults and when I called the female owner to discuss these issues, she was rude, inappropriate and used foul language and ignored our concerns. The male owner was helpful and pleasant and addressed some of of our concerns.

We spent a wonderfully relaxing week here! It's a beautiful unit - everything is up to date. Loved the decor, kitchen, baths, etc. The views are amazing! The balcony was bigger than pictured. My favorite part was coffee on the balcony every morning. The pool is huge at this resort. Even on crowded days, it never felt "crowded". No complaints whatsoever - everything was perfect! Thank you! We'd love to come back!

Tom & Michelle's condo is just beautiful. The decor is very modern and beachy. Their amenities are fantastic. The towels provided were top quality, linens superb, plates/cups/glasses/silverware all great quality. There is NOTHING you need to bring cooking wise. They have a spice cabinet with anything you'd ever need (including salt & pepper). Tons of plates, pots, pans, baking dishes, measuring cups, spatulas, tons, whisks, wine glasses, coffee cups, coffee filters, sugar/stevia, more. There are great quality candles in the living room and kitchen, good quality liquid soap in the bathrooms. All things I'd have in my own home which made this feel so relaxing and comfortable. You cannot beat the location of the condo. A WalMart is directly across the street. The ocean was beautiful. You can rent beach chairs and umbrella's each morning starting at 9am (you cannot pre-book, it's day of first come first serve only for $50 for 2 chairs and an umbrella). There is a beach bar/grill right on the beach as well. The lobby of The St. Maarten is absolutely beautifully decorated & clean. We would absolutely stay here again. Beautiful roomy condo & beautiful view of the ocean. The pictures really don't do it justice. Perfect location, in the middle of everything, but didn't seem too crowded. Wish we had more than 1 day of sun, but can't control the weather. We had fun regardless. Husband & son went crabbing three nights in a row & had a blast. The heated pool was a Godsend when it got too cold to swim in the ocean. Owners were very quick to respond to our questions. We will definitely be back!

This place was PERFECT! On the beach with amazing views! We started every morning with coffee overlooking the ocean! I doesn’t get any better than this place and the owners were awesome to work with!

This is a beautiful condo with amazing views of the beach and in a great location! The condo had plenty of space for our family of seven, especially with the two king rooms and bunk room. The property was well maintained and very secure. It was nice to have the semiprivate elevator that opened directly into the unit. We will definitely stay again when we return to Destin!

Great time with children and grandchildren. Great accommodations, and plenty to do.

There was a miscommunication with the cleaners and we showed up to a messy condo. We got a hold of them and they got their cleaning crew there ASAP and did the right thing in refunding 1/3 of the cost of the stay for the three nights. Beautiful condo with great views.

We loved this condo. It is super convenient in town and in getting to the beach. The owners are very accommodating and went out of their way to help make our stay pleasant. They even mailed our little boy’s “cold blanket” back to us after we left it. We will definitely be using this condo again.

Book it! You won’t regret it!!! The condo was perfect for two families traveling with children. From the separate master bedrooms with private bathrooms and balcony access to the kids’ room with bunk beds, it was the perfect set up for our families. The resort property is perfectly maintained with so many amenities. It never felt crowded or unclean. The location is ideal for families that want many options in the heart of Destin. You can walk to the Back Porch, eat and drink at the bar on the beach, or take a short drive to anywhere in Destin. We really loved the location!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The unit is comfortable and has an excellent view of, and access to, the beach. The swimming pool was a big hit with the kids, and the location is close to restaurants and activities in Destin.

The location was a great spot to host a beach 🏖� getaway weekend for my closest girlfriends...

We stayed in the St. Marten building, unit 1006. The décor, views and location were spectacular! Silver Shells was a secure facility and you can't get anywhere without a key card which made me feel safe. The pool is large and had plenty of seating. The beach was beautiful and this facility had one of the only Tiki bars within miles!!!! Great for afternoon 'fun in the sun'. Walmart was right across the street which was very convenient and it was smack dab in the middle of lots of stores, markets and restaurants. However, once you got on the Silver Shells grounds, you didn't feel like it was busy. The only negative about our unit was the dishwasher had standing water when we arrived so we hand washed dishes all week and we had sand in our bed but sand IS everywhere! I would highly recommend this unit. Several of the reasons I choose this unit included: both master bedrooms had access views and doors leading to the balcony, the dining room table fit 7-8 people, the balcony had comfortable seating and the pool looked spacious. I would definitely come back to this facility and unit again!

Loved this unit! It was perfect for us. Myself and another mom took 5 kids for the week. The two master suites were great and the kids bedroom was perfect for the kids ages 8-12. Our 17 year old slept on the couch:) Loved the location and the property. Unit had everything we needed for our stay. Would def rent this place again. The owners were reachable and responsive during our trip and great to work with. Thank you for the memories!

This condo has everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. The location with the view is amazing. Tom was easy to work with and answered several of my email questions in a timely manner. We had 6 adults and there was plenty of room for all.The bunk room could easily accommodate 5 children. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The condo is updated and the kitchen had almost everything you need. I like a toaster, but they did have a toaster oven. The elevator opening into the condo was a nice addition. If you are not familiar with Silver Shells, its location is very central to many restaurants. Back Porch and several others are within walking distance. A huge Walmart is across the street and easy to get to. We were very fortunate to be there the week before Hurricane Michael. I hope there was no damage to this area. We are looking forward to a return trip, and this condo will be our go to place. Not only was the condo as pictured, the owners were very nice to work with.

Probably the most beautiful place we've ever stayed. Right on the ocean and incredibly clean. Owners were very helpful and kept in touch as we awaited a tropical storm. We will definitely come back! This condo worked perfect for our family vacation. The condo itself is very nice and had plenty of room for our family of 5 (three young kids) and my parents too. Very easy access to the pool and the beach and the playground for the kids. The elevators opening up directly to the condo was a nice feature too. Only thing that was difficult was finding the right service elevator when we first arrived to get to the condo. After that, was smooth sailing and we loved our stay. Would definitely look here again if we go back to Destin!

My family enjoyed our stay soo much! My son didn’t wanna leave! The decor and view are fabulous!! Short little easy walk to the pool or beach. The elevator from the parking garage to your room... ahh words can’t describe!! We will be back!! Soon I hope!!!

This condo is well equipped and was perfect for our Mother - Daughter Spring Break trip. We’ve always rented houses when we vacation at Destin so the condo life was a first for us. Having a dedicated elevator bank is the only way to go. The Silver Shells property is very well maintained. St. Marten building is convenient to beach and pool. Wouldn’t want to stay in any other building. Loved everything about this complex! The owner Tom was great to work with. We will definitely return! Thanks for a great trip!!

The condo was very clean and nicely decorated. It was great for a family vacation. The security was great for families with smaller children. The basketball courts were nice for the older kids as well.

What a find! 3 comfortable bedrooms with plenty of room to gather and play board games and/or enjoy eating together. Great design and flow. We had 2 adults and 4 kids ranging in age from 13-25 and they were all happy with things to do and comfort of sleeping. The beach is gorgeous and the inside elevator makes coming and going a breeze. The garage, the basketball court, the pool and hot tub clean and user friendly. We will go back! Family or girls week...it is perfect!
