Great place to stay. Staff very kind and helpful. Great waffles and coffee in the morning. Rooms were comfortable for a nice stay. Laundry available at a cost. Fast wifi, nice little lounge to hang out in late night or early morning.

the room was decent sized and super clean. everything was new. check in super easy kitchen with everything you need we stayed 1 night and it was perfect for that saw the northern lights from this location

Hit the jackpot with this place, excellent value, excellent hosts with the added touch of waffles for breakfast. Definitely stay again if I find myself passing.

First off, the super friendly staff that gave us a family feeling. The isolated location was beautiful. Great conversations over waffles in the morning, which taught us a lot about Iceland and its people.

This was by far my favorite place that we stayed at during our time in Iceland. It's 1.25hrs south of Reykjavik and in the middle of nowhere but that was ideal for what we needed. There are at least 3 insanely gorgeous waterfalls within an hour drive of the place. The hotel has a common area with dining tables, games, binoculars, blankets, converters for your outlets, dishes and a fridge (they really thought of everything you'd need for your stay). If it's a clear dark winter night you can see the aurora right outside the hotel because there is basically no light pollution. They cook you fresh waffles in the morning and are the SWEETEST most kind hosts. There's even a guest book with markers to leave a note after your stay, and a list they compiled of nearby attractions. The shower was a taste of heaven with a waterfall shower head and a handheld. We also made good friends during our stay because it's so cozy and homy and inviting there.

Nothing. They truly thought of everything to make your stay wonderful as long as you don't mind being outside of a city with unbelievably beautiful nature all around you.

The lovely host is baking waffles for breakfast (all you can eat). If you want something else, make sure to bring it yourself from a local supermarket.

The owners were lovely and made us (free!) homemade waffles for breakfast - delicious! The kitchen was the best equipped kitchen of our trip. We were lucky enough to see a spectacular Aurora display and this was the perfect place to see it. Would highly recommend!

The breakfast options were good and the made to order waffles (by the host) was a really nice touch. I enjoyed visiting with the host. The room was a basic hotel-style room, but was clean, comfortable and quiet

We didn't realize how far out from Hella proper it would be, but that caused us no problems

I loved the location, the clean apartment, the kind staff and the free waffles in the morning being able to talk to the staff and learn more about Iceland

Spotless! The room was very clean, the shower worked perfectly (great and constant flow of hot water) and the property is lovely. What I liked the most was the kitchen area, where you could store your food in a fridge, there were cups/dishes and have delicious waffle the next morning. be careful, there is no stove/oven, but there’s a microwave. I truly regret only staying for one night as the property was excellent and the hosts very friendly!
