This home exceeded our expectations! Exactly as represented in the listing. Spacious and comfortable. The chef’s kitchen is a dream for a rental property with top-of-the-line appliances and well-equipped. Exceptional views from inside and outside the home and mere steps from the beach. The outdoor space is cozy and inviting. Beach chairs and towels are available for use. Excellent pet-friendly home with a gate on the deck. Beautiful gas firepit and park-style charcoal grill are available as well. The sunrises were spectacular in October. Our host was extremely responsive and friendly. We can't wait to return next year! This home played a big part in our beach vacation. Plenty of space for each person, great quality appliances (kitchen, laundry, etc.,), and the hosts were very responsive when a minor issue arose.

We LOVED this house it was so beautiful. It had plenty of room for all of us to spread out or gather together. The location was great with everything you need. The owner was fantastic. She kept in touch and was very responsive to any questions. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. We felt part of your family.

The property was beautiful and spacious. The amenities were great and home furnishings were very accommodating. The only downfall was not being able to use the elevator. This can be an issue for those not being able to walk up flights of stairs and bringing items up to the upper levels of the property.

We all loved this house. It was perfect for us. We all had our private space. The house is just beautiful. We saw dolphins every day. Would love to return again.

This is the second time we have stayed at this property and we absolutely love it! Beautifully decorated on the inside with a comfortable setup outside as well. You can not beat the views from this home. The owners have taken great pride in this place and it shows with the upkeep and how well stocked it is. We can’t wait to book again!!

Upon arrival we smelled a gas leak. The owner shut off the gas to solve that problem, but then the gas grill, gas fire pit and gas fireplaces could not be used. Next we discovered that the refrigerator and dishwasher did not work. The owner brought a cooler and ice, but we lost much of the food we purchased, we had to drive out to purchase ice each day, we drained coolers each day, we hand-washed dishes and bought paperware and ate more at restaurants. The toaster and coffee maker worked poorly, and while the owner said he would bring replacements, he did not. We borrowed a toaster and coffee maker from a friend who lives relatively nearby. There was black mold on two bathroom ceilings. The owner suspected it was mildew and said he would send a worker with a ladder to clean the problem, but he did not do so. We encountered a terrible odor, like that of a dead animal, in the kitchen. The owner sent a worker who taped-up gaps under the cooktop, and said sheetrock would need to be removed later to access what he thought was a dead squirrel or mouse (he assured us it was not a rat). After we returned from our trip I requested a partial refund of the money we paid for this premium rental. The owner was hostile to that request. He tried to blame me for the problems. At one point he said the refrigerator did not work because we placed too much food in it. He said that my family should have tried to fix the refrigerator but turning it off for a day and then turning it on again (but we were using the refrigerator by adding ice and treating it as an additional cooler). He said the dead animal smell must be from an animal we allowed in by leaving a door open. He actually told me that compared complaining to him about the broken refrigerator and dishwasher was like complaining to him about bad weather. The house we rented was in a beautiful location. There were many details about the house that were excellent. My family made the most of our week’s vacation and we had a good time. Still, when paying for a week at a premium 4-bedroom house, my family should expect a working refrigerator and dishwasher, and we should expect some reasonable refund in light of these problems.

We stayed here 2 years ago and George was a wonderful, accessible host. Our experience with the new property manager wasn't as pleasant. We assumed the elevator would be available and it wasn't. She was curt and defensive when I called her for help. We also were disappointed that the adjustable bed was not working. It's a beautiful home but still needs some work.

We love SGI. This was our first stay at this particular property. Loved the location and the house is spacious and good floor plan. Dolphins every morning at 9am:). Easy process and easy comms with owners. Thanks for a great experience.

This was our third time to the island. This was the best house thus far. House was clean and furnishing were excellent. The property manager was very responsive and made our stay a pleasure.

The beach front location of the property in the Plantation was great and having access to the pools and tennis was a big plus. The communication with the host was not very good. Reservation was made on VRBO and all 3 payments were made in advance. After 3rd payment, was prompted by VRBO to provide names of all guests which was done online. The day before arrival, I received a text from host requesting the same info (I resent via text) and stated it had already been provided via VRBO. Contact names were required for entrance into Plantation. Upon our arrival at the security gate, they did not have any of our names. Called & texted the host and it got taken care of. Upon arrival at the property, the lock box to access the key was not in the location provided. We did find it after searching a couple of other doors. We had 2 problems with insects in the house. One was a sugar ant invasion in the kitchen which were able to beat back with insect spray. The second were larger winged ants that were in every room of the house. We killed these by the dozens. As a courtesy, I sent a text to the host/owner prior to our departure advising of same and also some issues with the induction stove and vent hood. Never got a reply back. The house is beautiful and well appointed, and the location was great, but the overall visit was tarnished by poor communication from the host/owner.

This has been our best rental experience so far in the plantation. The kitchen had everything, the ice maker was really nice. The furniture was all very comfortable and there was plenty of room to spread out. The paddle boards were the hit of the week. Honestly, the house was even better than advertised. We are already planning next year’s vacation.

We loved this house and location. It was perfect for our family and extended family. The convenience of its location was perfect. We enjoyed the fire pit at night and crabbing on the beach at night. The views from the kitchen table were the best even when it rained. We will be back again for sure!

We stayed at the property the week between Christmas and New Year's Day. This was our first time to St George Island. While it's not guaranteed the weather was perfect for this week, plenty warm to enjoy the beach and even swim in the ocean. We had eight adults and everyone was very comfortable. The house has lots of space to spread out and every area is very comfortable. The large table in front of the windows overlooking the ocean was incredible, so great for meals and games. The living room area was very nice and comfortable with lots of room, then the back porch had an incredible amount of comfortable space to enjoy the sights and sounds of the ocean. There's also a fire pit area for hanging out just after dark that was very nice. The kitchen was really great, large open with nice appliances and as a bonus an espresso machine. Having people with a lot of coffee experience we made use of that thing all week long. The master bedroom upstairs was incredibly large, it has a huge Deck with chairs and a really nice bathroom. The communication between us and the host was great, we had a couple of small issues and they were quick to respond. We usually try a different place each year for Christmas, but there was a lot of talk about coming back here soon.

This is a gorgeous home with beautiful beach views that include sunrises and sunsets. The views from the kitchen and dining room are breathtaking. If you're fortunate enough to stay in the master suite the views there also cannot be beat. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with close friends and our pups. We also appreciate the attentiveness George the Host provided as well as the Property Manager Chelsey when we had a few minor issues pop up. They were both very responsive, accommodating and willing to help. St. George Island is such a special place and we had a wonderful time spending it in this beautiful home! This is the second week-long vacation we have taken at this beautiful beachfront home.....this time with siblings and spouses. The home is perfect as well as the location in the Plantation. Everyone loved it. We will be back.

Since we didn’t get to travel in 2020 we lived large in 2021 in this incredible luxurious property. It was comfortable and homey after we moved a few breakables out of the reach of our 4 year old. The only problem was that as soon as we lit the fire pit someone came over and told us that no fires were allowed 24/7.

The house is perfect for a family. Kitchen is stocked well if you want to cook. The house is beautifully furnished and clean. The covered porch and views of the beachare wonderful!

This home is perfect. The owners have taken great care in providing all the necessities for a family to come a relax and enjoy SGI. The rooms are spacious and very accommodating and the kitchen well stocked with what you may need to cook with. The views are breathtaking and the added benefit of the firepit gave us an enjoyable end of the day. The owners were very responsive and helpful to any questions that we had during our stay. We enjoyed our time here so much, that we are already planning a return visit.

Beautiful home, with all of the upscale amenities. The veranda was our gathering place, with comfortable furniture, scenic views and wonderful breeze. The dining room was magnificent, with wrap around views. My husband loved the heart of pine flooring and the outdoor shower. It was a great way to celebrate our 50th anniversary.

This home is in a perfect location and just steps from the beach. There are spectacular views of the beach and gulf throughout, and the covered porch is a great spot to perch morning, afternoon and evening. It is well furnished & the kitchen was large and equipped with everything we needed. All of the bedrooms are very comfortable and the master bedroom and bath are wonderful! Very importantly, the owner is incredibly easy to work with - he was timely, friendly and helpful in every communication. I highly recommend this beautiful, comfortable home. We can’t wait to return next year.

We really enjoyed out stay. The house was clean and well cared for. The microwave had a problem and I texted Chelsey and she immediately had a new one for us. The views were wonderful. Loved staying here. We hope to be back next year!

This is a beautiful home in a beautiful location! We had an amazing week. More than enough space! Kitchen had all we needed and we cooked in for every meal. A few minor things could use updating. TVs in secondary bedrooms for use of game consoles or DVD players would be nice. Decor in one bedroom was a little intimidating for kids with the masks and a large animal head. But none of that was a weight on our stay...just updates that would be recommended. Our favorite spot was on the comfortable, covered deck overlooking the Gulf. The open deck off the spacious Master on the 3rd floor made for fun nights of watching stars and listening to the water. The Master with the office and incredible bathroom made it a special "retreat" for us. We enjoyed a night with the fire pit too. We really loved this house and hope to stay there again in the future!!! Thank you!

This house is right on the beach and has tons of room and a large kitchen. The dining area overlooks the water and makes meals very relaxing and enjoyable. The kitchen is huge and has all you need to cook for a large family. Towels were high quality but it would have been helpful to have a few extra on hand. The back porch is a great place to hang out away from the sun and still watch the beautiful water. Lots of seating available for entire family. My husband had to work on our trip and he camped out in the perfect office space off the master bedroom. Very quiet and amazing views. From the third floor master I don't think you could hear anything in the house. Very private, huge and quiet. Star watching from the master deck was wonderful. Furniture was in perfect condition and very comfortable. We had only one issue with a slow drain and the owner came over quickly and took care of the problem. Seamless arrival and rental. We had a great week. Now for the small details that you might want to know before going just so you aren't surprised. House has a little age on it and although the appliances are top of the line, they are older. For example, the cooktop had 6 eyes but the black letters had worn off so it was a little trial and error trying to figure out which knob went to which eye, and what temp it was on. Stand at an angle and you can sometimes read the words but that is difficult in the evenings. I finally made a cheat sheet and put it by the cooktop. Other small items in need of repair but nothing that kept of from having a wonderful week. This was our first VRBO rental that was pet friendly (even though we didn't bring a pet) The master bedroom smelled like a wet dog. Not sure if that is typical for a pet friendly rental but I will probably not rent a pet friendly house again just in case. We bought carpet deodorizer at the store and it helped a lot. Wonderful house and wonderful location. Bedrooms are far apart from each other. Would be great for couples traveling together or for families with adult children. Of course, it would be great for families with kids too! Many memories made and thankful for the opportunity to rent such a great house!

I highly recommend this house. The house is absolutely beautiful and wonderful to stay in for a week! Every area of the house is a pleasure to be in. The windows overlooking the gulf are incredible. And we seemed to have the beach to ourselves! The only thing I would recommend is getting a new dishwasher as the current one had a tough time cleaning the dishes very well. Would love to stay there again!
