This was a fabulous base to explore Barbados. The house was exactly what we needed, was very well equipped and was in the perfect location. The hosts were brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. We can't wait to return and would definitely stay there again.

The owners were great and accommodated all of our requests. We hadn’t expected the heat and humidity of July and didn’t realize that the middle floor is open air at all times with mosquitoes/bugs able to come in and they only had standing fans. You are not able to close the windows and some doors are difficult to close easily. It wasn’t comfortable to be in that area. At night, the outside porch was the only cool place unless you were in the air conditioned bedrooms. We stayed 2 of our 13 nights that we booked due to the heat. Also not much view except the top floor. At high tide the beach was inaccessible. I would have stayed if it was a cooler time of year and we didn’t have any family with us. The bottom floor seemed stuffy and my sister in law said the bed was very uncomfortable. The reviews I read were great, with the only issue being the street noise. I really liked Debbie. She was very nice, and has some nice touches about the place. I was sorry it wasn’t a good place for us.

We had a wonderful stay at Oceans. Perfect location. Walking distance to grocery store and many places to eat. About 1/2 hr drive to many attractions in the area. For us the most important factor for this trip was to be on the water and Oceans did not disappoint. As stated in the listing this house is on a busy road so there is traffic noise. It did not bother us. Thanks again for opening up your home.

This is such a great place to stay. Debbie the host is there to greet you and is there throughout the week if you need anything. I cant say enough about the views, surrounded by beatiful tropical flowers and then the sea. We will definitely be returning to this amazing island and this property.

My cousin and I decided together that Oceans had everything on our wish list. Coming from different countries to meet up and not having traveled far before, it was a great decision. Not only did Oceans fulfill our dream spot in Barbados, but we also had hosts right next door who we could rely on to make sure we had a pleasant stay and give us information. Debbie also took us for a fabulous tour of about half the island. She clearly loves what she does. The accommodations were everything as described and more. The cottage is well appropriated with anything you might need. If there are any concerns or needs they are ready to help right away. It's a gorgeous cottage and literally just yards to the clear crystal blue ocean. It was even closer than we had envisioned. The beach is plenty big enough to enjoy the entire stay. The water is easy to get to and has nothing but smooth flat rocks and soft sand. The beach is appropriate for children, adults, and older folks like ourselves. Oceans has plenty of beach supplies including snorkel gear, folding chairs, a portable umbrella. The view from the deck is the highlight if I had to choose the very best thing. Gorgeous. Just some things I learned which may help you. First, the bus is cheap, right there, passes about every 5 mins, and runs til about 1am. We love it there and would love to come back.

We absolutely loved it here, clean, tidy & everything you needed for a relaxing holiday. Host Debbie is a lovely lady & nothing is ever to much trouble. Location was fab, there were a few local bars a few minutes walk away so got to try local food & hangout with the locals which we loved. There are also a couple of newer restaurants/ bars close by which were very nice too. Thank you Debbie, I’m sure will return one day soon x

Close to local stores , restaurants and beaches. Bus stops right outside. There is some road noise but that is to be expected living right in town. The host/ owners were always available if needed. The patio was where we basically lived the whole time when we were not out and about. A very relaxing area for morning coffee or evening cocktails. Would definitely recommend if you enjoy renting anywhere locally and exploring on your own.

Very very well equipped, characterful, very comfortable, on edge of ocean ...Debbie the host is very pleasant and efficient. Have slightly marked down the 'location' score as the property (as are all other waterside properties in Fitts) is off the main road and traffic noise can be intrusive

My friend and I enjoyed our stay very much. Villa is very well equipped with lots of towels, a welcome basket of essential grocery items including the best rum punch around :) A very nice touch after a long travel day. Villa is very easy to catch the bus from in both directions and a supermarket is just a block away. Beautiful sunsets can be enjoyed on the beach chairs in front. You can walk on the beach in both directions when low tide. Absolutely wonderful stay - we loved the decorated tree beside the "Life is better at the beach" wall decoration as it is so true. Oceans Beach House is in a perfect location for swimming and snorkelling, which our family of three enjoy. My husband swam with a turtle, which we saw most mornings and afternoons and I saw many colourful fish including a Parrot Fish. The house is equipped with beach chairs, snorkelling gear and plenty of beach towels. The welcome basket was a lovely surprise especially the homemade Rum Punch, the best I tasted on the island (thank you Debbie for replacing this when I ran out). We loved sitting on the decking watching the birds including a humming bird and the boats sail by in the morning and afternoon. We spent 5 of our 13 days holiday on the South Coast (St Lawrence Gap) but couldn't swim in the sea due to the Sea Weed and rough waters, so couldn't wait to get back to "Oceans Beach House" to end the last few days of our holiday relaxing and snorkelling. This beach cottage is great for those wanting to immerse themselves in Bajan culture. Located 3 blocks away is the only supermarket between Fitts and Holetown or Fitts and Bridgetown. This is convenient for when you can't or won't go out for dinner. Right across the street from the store is Il Tempio restaurant, with great food and friendly staff. You can even set up a tour with their neighbor, Dave, who runs Westend Taxi Service. Wendy's, a rum bar, was closed for a month during our stay, but it comes highly recommended. The one drawback is the location. As it is on the main drag to just about everywhere, the noise from traffic can be pretty loud. Oddly, the noise seems louder in the cottage than on the patio or the beach deck. But honestly, the noise didn't bother me after the first day. When inside, I turned on the TV and the traffic became like white noise. I couldn't hear the traffic from the downstairs bedroom at night, and my son said he couldn't hear the noise from the loft bedroom either. The island has just so much to do. We took a spin on the infamous yellow bus, but once was enough. The blue buses are perhaps a bit safer. We took an island tour and went all over the island. The Monkey Reserve and snorkeling in Bridgetown were our favorites. Just beware of Cherry Hill Reserve. There are a lot of talented artists up there who only take cash, and a gentleman who will sell you a coconut for 10.00 US dollars. Don't assume his offer is part of the tour! Debbie was the best hostess! The fridge was stocked with food for what amounted to three days of breakfast. She offered so much helpful advice and she was so friendly and bubbly, I could talk to her all day. This place is a real gem.

My wife and I absolutely loved our stay at Oceans!!! The porch facing the sea with a hammock and great view was the highlight and the upstairs bedroom was spectacular!!! We were there for only 7 days…way too short!! We can’t wait to come back for a much longer stay. Debbie was so friendly and a great hostess, and made the best rum punch I’ve ever had!!!

The home was incredible with all the amenities would could ask for. It was so close to stores and other attractions and the host Debbie was SO informative and helpful. I recommend everyone experience this property.

The space in this villa is luxurious. It balances socialising with privacy perfectly. My 17 yr old son loved the luxury of the top floor and we loved downstairs as our haven from the heat. The sun deck on the shore is a huge advantage over other properties along this coast. Sitting watching the sun set while the sea crashes in front of you is the perfect therapy. Hearing the yellow buses go by made us smile as they are the character of the island. You can signal one from the gate and jump off at Massey's for their amazing fresh bakery. We wandered to Jordan's, to Wendy's sports bar and to Il Tempio, just minutes away. Debbie, Brian and family are expert hosts who really care. They've thought of everything, the mass of ice cubes to the rechargeable bug bat which became a sport. This villa gave us an unforgettable experience which I hope to repeat many more times. #hooked

Stayed for 2 weeks in November 2021, party of four. The Villa itself is over 3 floors with spacious bedrooms with patio / balcony on ground and top floors with middle floor consisting of kitchen, living area and spacious outside dining all in excellent condition. Arriving late evening the welcome pack supplied by the hosts was very welcome and much appreciated after a long day travelling. This is truly a gem. The house is very comfortable villa with all the facilities including to be so close to the ocean. Debbie is a great host, so very helpful. Supermarkets are close by as well as restaurants

The villa was amazingly beautiful. The check in process was easy, everything inside the villa was accessible. The only thing I would note would be the roads -- it was difficult to get around due to construction. Thank you Debbie and Brian!!

Overall this property is everything it says it is and is a perfect option for those looking for a waterfront experience on the west coast. Two things to be mindful of, however—mosquitos (especially if it has been rainy) and road construction and it's accompanying dust and noise. The west coast main road is currently being modified and their working hours are at night, so depending on the time of your booking you may wake up at 1am to a jackhammer. If it has been rainy, confirm that the property has been fogged and all containers that hold water have been emptied and dryed. Outside, enjoy the hammock, the ever-present sound of water and your time in Barbados at this really great little hidden gem.

Highly recommend! This property epitomizes all that you would expect of a beach house. The seawall outfront overlooks a beautiful reef we snorkeled almost every day during our month-long stay. We saw turtles, puffers, and cuttlefish all just out our front door. The seawall was also a perfect location to enjoy a rum punch and a stunning sunset. Kitchen was very well-stocked. Beds were nice and firm. The host also provide mattress toppers for those that liked a softer mattress. Wireless was fast (75-100) and could support 3 people on zoom easily. The A/C in the bedrooms were nice and cold. Fitts Village is a quiet, but centrally-located village. There is a small supermarket for all essentials, a very elegant, delicious italian restaurant (El Tempio), and a rum shop/ sports bar called Wendy's that serves yummy and well-priced fresh fish and rib plates. Fitts Village is about a 7 min drive to Holetown with many, many upscale restaurants and shops. The bus goes right by the house, but I would recommend renting a car to see the other sights on the island. Most, of all we enjoyed our hosts Debbie and Brian. They were so helpful and kind. Any issues with the house were promptly dealt with and they had suggestions for any query from babysitters to where to buy art supplies. We were there during the rainy season, so experienced more mosquitos than normal. They didn't bother my husband at all, but loved me. Debbie,Brian and Rosie are outstanding hosts. From the time that you arrive to the time that you leave you feel like you are “Home away from Home” in an idyllic location. The cottage has everything that you need and more. We loved sitting on the verandah while looking and listening to the sounds of the ocean. As well, we enjoyed the sea breeze and picture perfect view on the sea wall. Very easy access to the beautiful sand beach, swimming and snorkelling. The busses were also easily accessible and easy to get around the island. The people of the island are also very friendly and helpful. Thank you Debbie and family for sharing your piece of paradise with us and your outstanding hospitality and goodies. We had a lovely stay in this charming little property right next to the beach at Fitts village. The owners were very welcoming and helpful, and left us a lovely welcome basket upon arrival , which was greatly appreciated. They also left plenty of essential supplies/toiletries and cleaning products, as well as a book of local information and things to do. The property has everything you need for a great stay and is very well located for the beach ( the property has a little private path to the beach and there is a raised deck with sunbeds for guests use as the tide comes right in) , the supermarket is close, and the local buses too, if you want to get around the island and visit the other West coast beaches. We would recommend hiring a car for a few days if you really want to get around the island. Thank you for a lovely stay

We had a fantastic 2 weeks exploring the island and finding somewhere new every time we got lost. We had the pleasure of staying at Oceans for 12 wonderful days. The hospitality of Debbie went far beyond our expectations. The welcome basket was a life saver coming in for the first few days. Great Rum punch too from Rosie! The house was cozy and had everything you could possibly need to make your stay easy. Debbie’s decorating added such a wonderful feel to our home for 12 days. There is lots of space and a wonderful balcony to relax and eat supper or just enjoy the view. The master bedroom is wonderful it also has privacy and a lovely view... The beach is a bit rocky out-front however just a few yards away there is easy access to the crystal clear water of the Caribbean.. Thank you for sharing your home and hospitality with us and making our stay so pleasant and enjoyable.

This was such a great house. Beautifully decorated yet practical for being near a sandy beach. It was very well supplied. The welcome basket was very handy as we arrived late in the day and there were items ready for a light meal. The hosts were lovely and helpful. Steps to the beach and beautiful sunsets. There was road noise, but if you spend most of the day on the beach, that is not an issue and it is quiet for sleeping at night. We spent a lot of time on the spacious porch.

We really enjoyed our stay here at Oceans! Debbie was an amazing host and so easy to get a hold of if needed! The house was simple and exactly what we love to stay in! The beach front Seawell our front was our favorite spot! We loved touring the island but enjoyed our time at the house the most! Sunsets were gorgeous and the turtles swimming off the shore of the evening was amazing! We snorkeled all around the area in front of the house and there was lots to see! The house is equipped with everything you need plus more! Highly recommend this property, hope to visit there again some day!

Thank you Debbie, Rosie and family for sharing your piece of paradise with us. As a group of four there was everything we needed in Oceans for our amazing Barbados holiday. Debbie, thank you, for the welcome pack - fantastic after a long journey arriving late on a Sunday when the shops are closed. Rosie thank you for the delicious rum punch. We ate in some evening and all the utensils, pans etc are in the kitchen. Makes it so easy. Being on the beach an early morning walk, swim was a necessary indulgence - oh the beach is so clean. We used the local bus system ( the bus stops right outside ) which is easy . Yes the road is right outside the gate however after a couple of days we did not notice the traffic. Would we return - oh yes in a heartbeat. Thanks again to the superb hosts Debbie, Rosie and family

A spacious property with an amazing deck area around it, just a few steps from the beach. It is between the main road and the sea, so can be a bit noisy, but you also get to hear the lapping of the waves. The owner lives next door and is on hand if you need anything, really helpful, lovely hosts. The bus stop is just outside, so easy to get around, although I would recommend a car to really see the island. Shop close by and a couple of bars within walking distance. The property is really spacious and well equipped and comes with a great welcome pack. Highly recommend.
