Ww had a great stay here. The home was very spacious and comfortable for our all adult family of 7. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck and enjoying the view. Kitchen was well equipped too.
The two main negatives we observed were firstly the amount of boat and plane traffic (right near to airport) that you get at this place. It wasn't a huge deal, but did take away from the peacefulness and remoteness you may have expected on the back deck. Secondly was just the sheer volume of rule postings and signs throughout the entire home. There were rules everywhere you looked. Even in the showers. We didn't even have a pet with us, but the pet rules were posted through the house at least 5 times and even in the bedrooms. They ranged from small one-rule signs to full page lists of rules. We get that they want to protect the home and want guests to treat everything as though it were their own home, but it was just over the top and made the home feel almost unwelcoming. It would be nice if they could simplify and/or condense the rules so they aren't so pervasive.
Overall a wonderful stay, would just love to see the rule postings modified.

This beautiful home has a gorgeous view of the water. It is close to Roche Harbor & about 25 minutes from Friday Harbor. You definitely need a car to get around the island. The home is not exactly as pictured & does need some updating (i.e. Painting & touch ups. Kitchen needs updating as well) Loved the layout. The beds were comfortable. I was disappointed that they did not provide any coffee (1 pkg would have been nice to have for our 1st morning stay, before going out) Also they did not provide any body wash or shampoo (most rentals do include this) Please note that water is limited & you are asked to limit showers to 1 daily & only fill the washer 1/4 full. The washer needs to be updated to a water saving model to help w/ water issue & accommodate larger loads; especially since you request that renters start a wash of towels prior to leaving (we could only wash a few at a time, so I did 2 loads). The living room & dining areas have the most beautiful view. The only thing missing was a gas or electric fireplace that was useable. Overall the home is very comfortable, peaceful & relaxing & we enjoyed our stay.

Large kitchen with lighted pantry was well appointed. Only issue with kitchen was lack large coffee mugs, so we bought 4 on sale at the drugstore.
The house is gorgeous, but...the dusty fake plants have got to go.
The downstairs bathroom was smelling funky... perhaps septic system related.
The throws, books and DVDs were great.
We used the fireplace 2 nights and loved it.
The hot tube was great.
Saw eagles every day (perched on a tree in the yard) and humpback whales one morning.
The dining room table was perfect for jig saw puzzle work...with room for 6 to eat dinner.
Beds were super...we all slept very well. New pillows would be welcomed.
Large spacious home was near perfect. Thank you for letting us stay!

We stayed at the Sunrise and Sunset House for a long weekend and wish we could have stayed longer. The house has a great layout for our group of five. The location near Roche Harbor was magnificent. We saw all kinds of wildlife from the deck. The home was clean upon arrival and the decor is warm and inviting. The mattresses on the main level beds are very firm. Great for those that prefer that, although I prefer a somewhat softer mattress myself. We ate most of our meals out since our visit was so quick, so we didn't use any of the kitchen appliances, other than the fridge and coffee maker. We would definitely stay here again.

Our group of 5 and a pup had an amazing stay at Sunrise and Sunset House. The highlight was the amazing view from the deck, where we watched porpoises, sea lions, and bald eagles pass by often. We loved the quiet neighborhood and a short walk to a small beach where we took some quick refreshing swims. Sleeping accommodations, living areas, and the kitchen were all great. We wish we had more intel on the amenities: we had to bring our own shampoo, kitchen knives were dull, and we added to the pile of ~1,000 coffee filters that don't really fit the coffeemaker. Overall amazing stay.

We recently stayed at the property and it definitely had an excellent location, but unfortunately, the services provided were not up to par. To start with, there was no shampoo provided, for a rental this price this seems like a basic toiletry to have provided, which was quite disappointing as it's a standard amenity that we would expect from any rental property.
Another major issue was that the fireplace was broken, and despite the management were aware of it before our arrival, they were unable to resolve the problem during our stay. They made no attempt to rectify the situation afterwards and our request for any reasonable restitution were rejected by the owner. This was a letdown, as we did not feel respected as guests. This lack of customer service was disheartening, and it left us feeling dissatisfied with our overall experience.
The communication with the management company was also not good. Their responses were slow and all the answers we got were a straight no. Don’t expect to check out later than 10am. They wouldn’t even try if it’s not for their convenience.
Despite the prime location of the rental, we cannot recommend this property due to the inadequate services provided and the lack of effort made by the management to address the issues. Overall, it’s a very unwelcoming stay. We were very disappointed.

We are a group of 8 women that try to get together for a weekend of reconnecting a couple times a year. This was a perfect property for us. It’s clean, roomy and comfortable for a group our size. The view is spectacular which adds to the enjoyment of staying here. I would definitely go back as well as recommend it to others. We all appreciated the short check out task list.

The property sits in a perfect setting and is an easy stroll to Roche Harbor through a wonderful neighborhood. All the many amenities of the home were used and we each had our own bedroom. We did not use the media room because we just enjoyed the water view side better. A bald eagle watching for fish on a nearby branch was our bonus.
The stove had two burners out which was our only negative.

We had a great time at the house and around San Juan with three generations of our family. The house is big, there is plenty of space so no one feels like they are crowding out others. The only slight gripe is that some of the kitchen appliances are very old, so if you are planning on cooking a bunch like we were, you may want to keep the recipes simple, otherwise it can be a bit of a frustrating experience.

Beautiful gem at the northern end of San Juan
We really enjoyed our stay here! The house and view are exactly as described and pictured. It was beyond clean and everything was ready for us. It's about :25 into Friday Harbor but Google maps worked great and we enjoyed getting to know the island roads. It's really close to Roche Harbor as well, so we went there a few times. Really beautiful, peaceful stay. Would recommend to anyone.

Beautiful views and sunsets. House was just as advertised, lots of room and walking distance to Roche Harbor, and very quiet setting Would have given 5 star review, but needed a better cleaning. Dirty towels were left in one bathroom and found cigarette butts under the bed upstairs while looking for my sons toy. Rest of the house was clean, just missed a couple of things. We had a great time and will be going back for another relaxing week.

We shared this house with another family and our kids. The views are simply amazing! The pictures did not disappoint. We spent most of the time on the deck. Saw bald eagles, seals and porpoise. Absolutely would recommend!

Gorgeous views and beautiful house
We had 4 adults, 2 children and a dog staying in this home and it was more than enough room for all. The upstairs bedroom with 3 twin beds doesn't have a door on it, so we moved the kids to the downstairs bedroom and that worked out better for us. Also, the upstairs bathroom is a bit small to share with anyone staying in the upstairs rooms. The area is super quiet and the people we saw were very friendly. Quick walk to a beautiful beach. The views from the deck can't be beat! We were so exited to see otters and porpoises from the deck, deer in the yard and tons of eagles without having to leave the house. The hot tub was perfect on the windy and cold spring days. FYI there are VHS movies and DVDs in the house, but no way to play them. The kitchen has plenty of space and is well stocked. We cooked all meals at the house over our 6 day stay. We enjoyed some of the provided board games and puzzles (the Lego puzzle was our favorite). We loved our family vacation at this house and look forward to coming back in the future.

Renting this property was really easy and is a great place for a mellow family get together. The hot tub with the incredible view was a big added plus. Really well supplied kitchen and enough beds and bathrooms to give everyone a little privacy. The place was very clean upon arrival and all instructions made it a cinch to be there. The kitchen and bathrooms are slightly out of date with a very small shower stall but everything worked great. We were sad there were no fires allowed due to ordinances on the island but that’s the new world we live in, unfortunately. We would absolutely rent this place again or recommend it to friends!
