Great place to stay while visiting family in lakeside for the holiday!

Lake Michigan cottage with the typical charm of the lake area. Nicely laid out with master on one side of the house with the other two bedrooms on the opposite side. Great decks on the exterior and as always the beaches are spectacular!

We throughly enjoyed our stay. the house is well equipped and the location is ideal. The garden areas are exceptional and comfortable.

Overall it's a very cute cottage, however we didn't feel like it should be rated high for cleanliness. There was sand in the twin bed sheets and the trundle beds. There was mold on the shower curtain in guest bath. We found body hairs all over the baths( everywhere)! Not just in the showers, on the walls, in the drawers, etc. When we checked in Saturday and began to cook we were swarmed with fruit flys. They were so bad we actually had to set traps. The floors were not swept either, Cobb webs and spiders under hutches. Overall we rented because it was rated top for cleanliness. The walk to the beach is longer than what they advertise as well. They had a neighbor with a barking dog. It never stopped. It was miserable to sleep in this house because of neighbors dog. This neighborhood obviously doesn't have a noise orndance.

we stayed for three nights this summer, and loved every minute of it. The house is beautifully decorated with a great layout for multiple people or couples. We are already planning our trip back!

We have stayed here 3 times. It's a short walk to the beautiful beach and an easy drive to restaurants and entertainment. We think it is a great location! The place is clean and comfy and the decor is beachy/shabby chic that gives a great vacation atmosphere. The floor plan works well for separation between the primary bedroom and guest spaces. We like that it has landscaping around to provide privacy on the outdoor porches and decks. Kitchen has been fine for our needs. I would highly recommend.

This was my second stay at this house; I’ve also rented another of Gigi’s houses in Three Oaks. Both places are beautifully decorated with excellent modern bathrooms, lots of outdoor space, with privacy provided by the gorgeous treed lot. The kitchen is well equipped and all the rooms are both comfortable and nicely furnished. An easy walk to the private community beach, and lots of great shops, cafes, bakeries etc nearby. I’ll definitely be back!

This was just a lovely place to stay. We had a business retreat and there was plenty of space to spread out. It was close to everything and just lovely. Thanks Gigi for a great stay!

This is my 4th time staying at Serendipity. We love it to just veg. Nothing like watching movies and having a beautiful fire going.

Loved this little cottage, was a perfect escape for our family to celebrate husbands 50th. Clean, beautifully designed. We built a fire and just enjoyed the space. Only caution, the floors are irregular so maybe not good for older folks with mobility issues. There are tripping hazards.

Super cute cottage and yard! Close and easy access to the beach!

The house is well-appointed, cute, close to the beach and convenient for many Harbor Country activities. The owner was communicative and kind. Like many of these beach rentals, the house is a tad dated and a bit musty, but we really enjoyed our stay overall and would definitely recommend.

This is a very pretty cottage close to the lake. (There are a lot of stairs from the access gate down to the beach, which may be an issue for some.) The vintage cottages in the neighborhood are fun to see, though they are quite close together, so there can be some typical noises such as lawn mowers and trash trucks. Also, the train tracks are close by. None of that prevented us from enjoying our stay. We especially loved the cozy little front porch and the outside dining table, as well as the very comfortable living spaces indoors. Overall, a most enjoyable vacation!

The cottage was gorgeous with plenty of outdoor space for relaxing or dining. So tranquil! And it was beautifully decorated. There were plenty of towels and sheets/bedding and it was nice to have a washer and dryer in the unit. It was a short walk to the association beach, which was never very crowded. Would definitely stay here again!

Great little house. Has everything you need for a weekend or longer. We wish we could have stayed longer than a couple nights. Close to good restaurants and just a short walk to the beach. Can’t wait to come back!

I loved everything about the place. The location was very quiet and low key. The house was just what we expected. Everything we needed was near by. Gigi was a wonderful host, very attentive, easily accessible and the house was stocked with all necessities. I would definitely stay here again.

Weekend girls trip with myself, Mom, sister and 23 year old daughter. The ease of communication with the host, questions answered, easy check in/out took away any stress from as this is our first time using VRBO. The home description is perfectly captured and the site pictures displayed are just like you are stepping through the door in person. The home is beautiful! Restored to immaculate beauty and filled with coastal blue colors, antiques and thoughtful touches. All of us remarked daily how we wanted to take the home with us or perhaps just move there in the summer months. We felt like we were home! Gigi had everything we needed but our food! Coffee, sugar, kitchen items which included ziplock baggies for leftovers. The neighborhood is a smaller community neighborhood. It is older with some newer homes, majority restored older homes and a few that need a bit of love. However, this is not a bad thing, this is what we all loved! No cookie cutter homes, loud tourists and craziness you find in so many areas. We had keycards to access the private beach for the community. It was a short walk up the perfectly safe street to the beach. We all felt safe the entire time. We watched sunset over lake Michigan, petted the dogs that locals brought with them (on leash!) to watch the sunset and visited with so many nice people. Gigi has recommendations for places to eat, shop and visit within the home. We took her up on many recommendations and spent a day in New Buffalo a short drive up the road. We had so much fun, bought a lot of local art and had some amazing food and rooftop dinning views of the lake. We will be back and we will stay with Gigi again! Thank you for being such an awesome host and sharing your beautiful home with these Indiana girls.

We loved our stay at this cheery, clean and comfortable cottage near Lake MI! Lots of space with beautiful decor, cozy living room with fireplace (bring wood), hardwood floors and wood paneling. Enjoyed dinners at the dining room table, and breakfast in the kitchen, which had everything we needed for all our meals. Even though it was cold, we had a great time hiking at Warren Dunes and Indiana Dunes State parks, Warren Woods, and by Lake Michigan near the cottage. Highly recommend!

This was my fourth time staying at the cottage. Everyone I introduce to this place loves it. Another fabulous cousins weekend hanging out in pj's watching Netflix. See you next year Gigi's Cottage.

Loved staying here for a quick visit at the end of the year. Location was close to the water, house was very clean and cute- tons of windows. We’d be glad to return.

We so enjoyed our long weekend at Serendipity cottage. It had everything we needed and was very relaxing. Lots of nice restaurants in the area as well. Will stay here again if we come back to this area.
