The accommodations were as expected. Very good for two couples. The owner , Keith, was in constant touch. He also made a car available for us to use at a reasonable cost. We found several good restaurants nearby at the marina - Hazel’s , Matias and Surf Box. Next to the resort is PoloLoco which is a casual beach front eatery. We did a couple of excursions. The sunset cruise was nice - an afternoon out to the rocks in the distance. We also did the tour to Nicaragua. Brutal- 16 hours - most in a crammed van. Not recommended unless you want to punish yourselves. All good - Pura Vida !

My husband, our 11 yo and twin 8 yo daughters and best friend had a truly spectacular stay. I was particularly impressed with how comfortable the bed and linens were, and how well appointed we found the kitchen and supplies. It was easy to cook at the house, the the restaurants in walking distance were delicious. Having a washer/dryer allowed us to pack light. Our experience with management was wonderful. It was our twins eighth birthday, and they went out of their way to find decorations and a birthday cake, despite very little notice to our request. There were also very helpful and arranging surfing lessons and drivers etc. Every single person we interacted with was lovely and helpful. The manager Keith made himself very available, as did the staff. The cleaner Nancy was very flexible with our schedule and assisted daily. It’s a great combo of private rental and high touch hotel experience. The location turned out to be the favorite trip of our entire party. The pictures do not do it justice. It is just absolute paradise to look out onto that beautiful beach and ocean, whether you’re looking from your bedroom window or the pool, etc. the water is perfect, not too strong for the kids, warm and free of jellyfish. Honestly, this is place is paradise and we hope to be back soon! My only regret is flying into San Jose instead of Liberia (6 hour drive instead of less than one). We’ll book smarted next time. Can’t wait!

Great staff, lovely property right on the beach.

This villa is the absolute perfect place to stay for a trip to the Pacific coast of Costa Rica. Playa Flamingo was a beautiful location, and the home is on the absolute best spot on the beach! The description was completely accurate, except it couldn't even fully highlight how wonderful the place is. The views were amazing. The location of the specific villa couldn't have been better. The amenities were great. The pool and the beach are clean and lovely. And the communication with the owner/manager/concierge couldn't be beat. We had the most fabulous time, and so would anyone who stays there. The only thing we would mention that wasn't exactly to our liking was the loft bed. It was really quite high, with a low railing that we didn't feel was safe enough for our 9-year-old. It also was very hot up and stuffy up there. We worked out different sleeping arrangements (using the super comfortable living room sofa!) and it was just fine. Just wanted to share that with anyone who might be considering using that sleeping space. It did not detract in any way our enjoyment of the home. We loved it.

This was our second stay at The Palms and it was amazing. The combination of the pools with the best beach in Flamingo was perfect for our family. The owner was super attentive, messaged us to make sure we had everything we needed and provided us with the location of several local restaurants. The concierge service is quick and responsive to any requests or questions. Additionally, daily housekeeping in a condo is a huge plus. We're already planning our next trip back!

Keith was so easy to work with. He responded promptly to any inquiries, and we felt that he really wanted us to have a great stay! The house is beautiful, spacious and clean, and the view is incredible. Our family thought the loft bed looked uncomfortable and a bit treacherous with the ceiling beams and the height. We didn't use it but we thought other visitors might want to take this into consideration depending on their level of comfort. We have zero complaints about our stay! We would not hesitate to stay at the villa again.

Villa is lovely and the beach, pools, and bar are a wonderful setup. Our family has been to a lot of beaches and the easy access to the beautiful beach is really nice We fell in love with Costa Rica and this location. Keith, the owner was exceptionally helpful with food recommendations and other questions. We were 5 stars happy with our stay.

The Palms is an oasis! We travelled around the area and loved the activities, but the sunsets and beach (steps from the villa) here are unsurpassed. Pool and grounds are immaculate, Keith the property manager is a total peach, very attentive and kind. Room service/poolside service from Coco Loco is an easy and yummy choice. The great concierges helped to arrange grocery delivery, drivers and and activities for us: We did a private boat tour and snorkel adventure from the local marina (saw manta-Ray, turtle, tropical fish, pod of dolphins, caught fish!), loved that, and did a sunset horseback tour of the beach and local hilltops (incredible!). Fabulous sunset lounge/appetizers at Sentido Norte (local restaurant at a resort), yummy dinner at Hemmingways, days of lounging at the beach and pool. Place is very comfortable, exactly as pictured, very nice design and comfortable beds. All the amenities of an exclusive resort, without the hassle of all the guests. Plus: Monkeys outside your door. :) who could as for more? We will definitely be back, our all time top favorite family vacation.

We had such a great time at this property! From check-in to check-out, we had great communication with the owner Keith. He was so sweet to recommend some great restaurants in the area and made a special effort to ensure our 7 year old had a great time. The property itself is absolutely beautiful with the most perfect view of the pool and the beach. You can hear the ocean waves crashing if you crack open a window, which is just the best sound to fall asleep to. Another treat is the bartender down by the pool who serves the most delicious fruit concoctions (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic). This was a very pleasant surprise! We met tons of nice families with kids our son's age, but the place was overall very relaxing and quiet. The visitors to this property certainly maintain a peaceful atmosphere. The location was great as well. You are very close to the new Marina (rent a catamaran, you won't regret it!) and some great places to eat. We cannot wait to go back sometime in the future and bring more of our family! The sunsets each night are some of the best we've ever seen. 5 out 5 all around. The owner reached out ahead of my stay to make sure all was good to go. The check in process was easy and the villa was very clean and extremely well supplied. Pools are clean and service is good. Beach is one of the prettiest in Costa Rica. Nice outdoor grilling area. The only negative i can say is that they aren’t very hospitable toward children, so if you have small children you might want to look elsewhere!

My initial contact with Keith all the way to the check out process was a truly easy, extraordinary experience! Keith is always available for any question you have before you arrive to help with any issue or for recommendations while you’re there. The only issue we had was having to cancel our fishing trip due to high winds. But Keith contacted the owner of the charter for us and 100% of my money was immediately refunded. The property was immaculate and right on the beach. Even from the Infiniti pool you were only a few feet from the beach. If you like to work out they have a very nice gym and my daughter and I got massages on the beach! The kitchen at the Villa was stocked with everything you could possibly need to cook dinner for your entire family and the views from the Villa were breathtaking. The concierge and the rest of the staff at the Villa were so nice and are there for anything you need along with Keith. I would highly recommend Villa 18 and hope to come back again soon! Pura Vida!

From the moment we booked the villa, Keith the owner came back to us and asked “ only 3 nights” “ you will regret not staying longer”. I explained how our family was visiting different parts of the country. Well Keith was absolutely right! My 22 and 19 year olds who did not want a VRBO were first to say “ why didn’t we stay here longer”. This location, the villa , the staff, and Keith were all amazing! Nice surprises: Poolside bar 12-6pm. Charges directly go to your room. Nice and convenient.! Coco Loco restaurant close by. Walk to it for nice evening out. Stay in and order and enjoy quiet dinner at your villa. Food was great! Enjoy all the boogie boards, pool noodles, etc honor system,! Want a massage? Don’t need to go far. Nice cabana set up on the property. Bikes on the premises! Best yet. Location , location! Beach, pool, peace! We will be coming back!

Great location, great condo and excellent communication with the owner who quickly responded whenever we had a question or needed advice. The staff was excellent as well, including Anthony at the pool bar, José from Security and Janeth who gives excellent and affordable massages on site. Wish we’d stayed longer the property was fantastic……can’t wait to return.

From the beginning Keith and The Palms concierge were so helpful. They answered my many questions, helped set up shuttles, excursions, access to a car, food delivery, you name it. The place is stunning on our favorite beach and the amenities were perfect for us- resort feel without all the resort restrictions. For example, we could use boogie boards, kayaks, paddle boards until our hearts content at no extra charge. Keith’s place is 5 star and he was incredible to work with. My husband and I are already trying to figure out when we can go back. We almost don’t want to recommend this place. 😃 It’s a gem.

Everything about The Palms is fabulous. The staff, location, amenities, full of life, but a small resort feel. The villa is very well stocked with all that you need. Keith the owner is extremely kind and helpful. We look forward to return one day!

Everything and everyone was excellent at Playa Flamingo Villa 18. The 1.5 km beach was spectacular - large, clean and safe. The resort was operated superbly with friendly, responsive and hard working staff who took great care us and the resort. The owner Keith was super helpful and went over and above to make sure we were taken care. He used his personal contacts to help us enjoy the area. He helped with tee times, got the best tables at the best times at the best restaurants in the area and hooked us up with fine Costa Rican coffees for the duration of our stay. We will definitely be back.
