We rented this property in early October for 41 people to celebrate our tenth wedding anniversary. The property was everything promised and better. We had great weather all weekend, but it got pretty cold at night- 30s and 40s- everyone was comfortable because the space heaters heat the cabins up nicely. I stayed in a cabin myself and I was almost too warm one night with the heater on! The kitchen and outdoor grill area was well suited to our large group, and the kids were absolutely delighted by the animals. The property was large, and we used the golf carts to get around so it was easy. The bathrooms at the main house are large and beautiful, while the camping bathrooms down by the cabins were clean and comfortable for all who stayed. The views were gorgeous and we had so much fun playing in the pool, hot tub, and dancing in the pavilion. Everyone loved the property and stated how we should make the trip an annual thing. My husband and I had the literal best times of our lives at our wedding here. Just beyond what we even thought. The weather was perfect, the property is just amazing. What an incredible place! Only tidbit I have is - don't use Waze to get there! We had some pretty wild stories from people who tried to take some cut through that Waze takes you down... So use Google maps to navigate and tell your guests that! This property is magic!

The pictures did not disappoint...this was the perfect setting to unplug and reconnect with our work teams. We have not gathered together since Covid began and many folks had not met in person. Lots to do right on the property and other options in the local area. The team left with big smiles on their faces!

Beautiful property with lots of amenities. The staff works with you to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. They are great at communicating! If you do book just be aware that the ice maker is extremely slow and you’ll probably have to buy ice.

We had a large group ages ranging if from 2years-68year olds. A lot of walking, but the golf cart rental helped with those who couldn’t hike up the stairs/hill or even a joy ride to say hello to the animals. The garden was beautiful and produced many delicious veggies that our group thoroughly enjoyed as well as visiting the chickens and seeing if they left any fresh eggs. We also enjoyed the privacy the farm provided without any interruptions of media. Would definitely recommend and go back again!

It was a good experience. The kids really enjoyed the freedom. The only problem we encountered were the snakes. Under this type setting you can expect some but it seemed to be an unusual amount of them and the majority were poison. Several fell out of trees. So care needs to be taken by anyone renting. I'm not saying this to critize this is a farm and we did expect to see them. Also aware you can't control them nor the type they are. We were more cautious and kept a good eye. Thank you for the experience of farm life. Great memories made for our family.

It was an overall good time and a nice place to stay.

We brought a group of about 25 adults out to the farm for a leadership retreat. It was a beautiful property with all the necessary accommodations. We particularly enjoyed the farmhouse and the outdoor patio areas! The manager on site was very helpful and we hope we could use the property again in the future!

Everything at the location was accurately depicted in the description. We enjoyed the farm. The views and amenities were excellent. Looking forward to renting again.

Our 1st church retreat and couldn’t have gone any smoother. The owners were really easy to reach and accommodating and the farm hand Jose was incredibly came by each day to see if we needed anything and was just an overall great help for things to do, showing us around the property it was an awesome time. Well equipped and well laid out for a big group. Must book and can’t wait to book again

We didn’t understand from the online review that it is built for glamping. So we piled into the main house since we are not country folk and don’t like bugs. The cabins unavoidably I’m sure had some bug issues. That is my only negative. The overall experience was extremely special and we would all go back. My daughter cried to not leave

We stayed at Sugarboo Farms for my mom’s 80th birthday. The farm is wonderful and has everything you could want and the Blairsville/Blue Ridge area is beautiful. I would gladly recommend it to friends.

Over all it was great. Only down fall was showers and bathrooms. The bathrooms by the cabins do not have running water. So they are camping toilets and there is no sink. Just a jug of water. Also there are only 4 showers all at the main barn. There are 3 addition outdoor pool showers that for us did not work as regular showers because of the lack of privacy. Other then bathrooms and showers it was great. Property manager was great and helped in what ever was needed and was very flexible.

We had a large group that ranges from 3-68 and I can not explain how much fun we had. Hiking, swimming, eating outdoors, playing soccer, walking dogs, and laying in the hammocks. This place was the best and we highly recommend it.

Excellent location for large family getaways or any type of large group gathering. House and grounds were well maintained and clean. It was cold out so we spent most of our time together in the farmhouse. There was plenty of space indoors for our entire group. Wish the weather was nicer so we could’ve enjoyed the outdoors more. The backyard is well set up for outdoor events or just to hang out outdoors. I like the split level separate areas out back. I think we’d like to visit again when it’s a little warmer out so we could enjoy the entire experience at the farm. Overall it was a great choice for our group and everyone enjoyed there stay.

my family ( the Ayarza's) had a wonderful time very clean place and great place for family gathering . we celebrated Thanksgivings 2020 with 45 family members from all ages . we had a wonder movie night outside the picture and sound work perfect.we enjoy the view of the animal awesome time.

Had a last minute cancellation for a different property, and the staff was fantastic. They accommodated my large group (~50 people) and were very friendly. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great wedding/retreat location!

This venue from the location to the decor to the staff was absolutely wonderful. I loved everything about it. My only complaint was my trip went by too fast and I had to leave. I wish I could get married all over again just to be there again. Absolutely gorgeous!

We have 30 members on our team and selected Subarboo for our corporate retreat. We stayed for two weeks - we cooked outside, cooked inside, used the hot-tub, played frisbee golf and bocci, sang outside around the campfire and participated in team-building activities in the woods and fields. They had a projector and TVs on hand for presentations and the cooking facilities were perfect with a pizza oven, an outdoor grill and a huge electric range indoors. They had plenty of dishes, glasses, cooking utensils and cutlery too! All of the cabins and rooms were impeccably clean! If you are someone who get's cold at night, bring an extra layer during the winter! Eddie the caretaker and his dog 22 were incredible! Eddie knows the area extremely well and was able to guide us to some great hikes along the Appalachian Trial. He showed us the ins and outs of the place, brought over additional games and made sure we had everything we needed - you couldn't hope to have a nicer person there to help make your stay great! I would recommend Sugarboo Farms without reservation to any smaller companies or larger families looking to host a retreat or reunion!
