On the beach. 4 bed/5 bath. Shawna helped to book activities (and make changes) and Tatyana’s mom provides excellent massages. The house was clean, beds comfy and a full kitchen with more then you need. I Felt secure in the evenings. Bring your own toiletries like lotion, shampoo, soap.

The proximity to the ocean is so delightful! Hiring Tatiana to prepare some meals? Delightful. Shawna’s assistance arranging for transportation and activities? Delightful. We enjoyed our time and look forward to staying again.

The house was perfect. Private pool area to cool off. Location was incredible. Being right on the beach, there is no reason to leave the property. Boogie boards and bikes were fun. Staff were helpful and someone was always available. I hope to be able to come back again soon. I Loved my stay at Costa Palmera.

The house was very comfortable and spacious for our group of 7 people. There was plenty of seating and spots to occupy while seeking a few minutes to relax alone. The house highlights included comfortable beds, outside lounge chairs, the pool, and of course the house staff! Tatiana was in the house nearly every day, but her presence never felt intrusive. She took care of our basic linen and cleaning needs while also cooking 3 dinners (the Casados and tacos were favorites) and managing daily laundry loads (there is a washer and dryer on the property, but not available to guests directly). Jonny maintained the grounds and watched out for transportation vehicles for us. Marco was ever watchful of the property at night and greeted us when returning from dinners out. The experience felt more like staying in a mini hotel than a VRBO house. As my wife said, this was the best beach vacation ever and Casa Costa Palmera was the centerpiece of the experience. Now the beach... The ocean was warm and the waves were perfect for boogie boarding and surfing (and lessons for some of us!). Sunsets are absolutely magical from the beach and varied nightly. There were more stars in the sky at night than we ever saw! Thank you for a great week! I hope we can come back again someday.

The property was very clean and had everything we needed as far as cooking utensils and lots of games, linens etc. The staff was lovely and ready to assist with anything, we really enjoyed meeting them. The beach was beautiful and we really liked taking walks along the shore. We made lots of family memories we will treasure.

Costa Palmeras is a lovely house with fabulous surfing right out front. We absolutely loved the location and the staff was amazing! The house was well equipped, very clean and comfortable, especially the beds. We had the best vacation our family has ever experienced here. We highly recommended this exquisite house.

We had an incredible stay here! Check-in was easy, and the house was very clean and spacious. Shawna was very responsive to any of our needs as well. We had Tatiana cook three meals for us, and they were all delicious and well worth it. We also got massages at the house that were incredibly relaxing. There are several great restaurants just minutes from the house as well. We felt very safe the entire time and loved relaxing in the hammocks, enjoying the pool, and searching for seashells. The beach is beautiful, and the waves are great. They have everything you need here! I would 100% recommend it, and I would love to stay here again in the future!

We absolutely loved our stay! After researching properties in the Tamarindo area we decided to spend a bit more than we budgeted for this property. Probably more than we needed house wise for our family of 4, but the location and beach proximity drew us in. We couldn't have been happier with the home and location. Check in was a breeze. The beach access was so convenient to be able to go in and out as we pleased. Having boogey boards onsite was so great with such an amazing surf. After going to Tamarindo for an afternoon and dinner we were even more happy with this location on Playa Grande, as it is so much quieter than Tamarindo with no one trying to sell you anything. There are a few restaurants in the area that were great. The grocery stores will do, but are small and limited with higher pricing (which the owners let us know in communication before coming in which helped). There are plenty of towels and dishes, etc in the home to use. There is a black sand beach just a bit north (pretty easy hike) that was really cool so see. The pool was a refreshing change with the heat we had during our stay. The staff that supports the home were super friendly. Overall, we couldn't have enjoyed our time more and loved the property!

Our stay was nothing short of amazing! We had 3 families (9 total with 3 kids) that stayed at the property and there was tons of space for us all to be comfortable! The house, the property surrounding and the staff could not have been better! The staff from the time we booked to the time we left was available for questions, coordination of excursions and shuttles, they even assisted in getting us a cake for our nieces 1st birthday that was celebrated while there! Tatiana’s cooking was amazing, definitely recommend having her cook for your group while there! We have been on many beach vacations and this was by far one of the most enjoyable! We hope to return in the future!

The villa is on the most beautiful beach of Costa Rica, Playa Grande. The house is very well equiped in the kitchen as well as in the other rooms. The AC perfectly works, which allows everybody to live and sleep well. The house is well maintained and cleaned by a staff that exceed our expectations. When a problem is raised, they take actions to promply resolve it. The next guests must know about the public parking next to the property because there are many tico's during the weekend; but the tico's are peaceful and no problems occured. We love this villa and its location. Playa Grande is a wonderful quiet beach. We recommend this place to guests with family.

This property is beautiful and a hidden gem. It is on the beach with hammocks and chairs in the shade. Beach is gorgeous and great for swimming in ocean, sunbathing or taking walks on the beach. When I went the beach was not crowded and you could really spread out. We had Tatianna cook for us and it was amazing I highly recommend this service. All staff are around as other reviews but they are great at helping me practice my Spanish. Shawna the property manager was a great communicator and helped get my son private surf lessons at the last minute. Living room has plenty of seating for our group of 7. Two dinner tables one outside and one inside is great if you plan on eating at the house. Pool is cool and refreshing.

This property had everything we needed to reconnect and recharge. The view and experience the property provides is absolutely amazing! The grounds were meticulously cared for by Jonny every morning and the interior of the house was pristine. Tatianna did a daily cleaning and always made sure we had fresh beach towels daily. Both were a pleasure to meet and talk with. The house offered plenty of privacy even with it being beach front and we felt secure at all hours. The kitchen had everything we needed and the 2 refrigerators were a thoughtful touch! We loved that all 4 rooms had en suite bathrooms and that there was plenty of seating for all of us. This house has everything you need to have an amazing and memorable vacation.

I’ve stayed at many rentals before and this one took the cake. It’s absolutely stunning, the location is amazing. I always look at the VRBO’s property photos and when I arrive .. I’ll see what they were trying to hide in the photos .. we’ll no surprises here - in fact I don’t think the photos do the property justice. I brought mh family on this trip, and we felt completely safe the entire time. There is a guard who has eyes on the property 24/7 and is eager to help with anything needed. Beyond the staff, there is an entire crew that makes you feel pampered the entire time, it felt like we were at a 5 Star Hotel. We hired the chef to cook the 3 meals a day / everyday. Beyond worth the money. Tatiana is as good if a chef as any restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. We were all stuffed every single meal. She was also delightful to be around. This is our forever go-to spot in Playa Grande when we come back !

Truly beautiful in so many ways......this oceanfront house was our last 3 nights of a long surf trip in Costa Rica. If you like sunsets, wide uncrowded beaches, expansive views of the Pacific, and good waves this is the place to stay. The on site staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

If you're looking for the convenience of being ON the beach, you won't find a better place to stay in Playa Grande. Short drive to the busy and fun town of Tamarindo. We're coming back....soon!

Everything about the house was perfect. We loved being right on the beach, laying in the hammocks, reading in the lounge chairs, using the boogey boards, cooling off in the pool, and eating the delicious dinners prepared by Tatiana. I can’t think of any complaints. The beach is in a semi-remote area and never was crowded. We would definitely stay here again. Shawna the house manager greeted us on arrival and helped us get settled (and after was available by text to answer any questions). The WiFi worked really well for those needing to connect. I recommend this property without hesitation. You will not regret it!

We loved everything about our time at Casa Costa Palmera except it was too short! Shawna was very great to communicate with. The house was clean and literally takes your breath away the minute you enter the gate. Parking is as awesomely convenient. The house crew, Tatiana, Johnny and Marcos took great care of us. The property and its privacy can’t be beat. The view is amazing and never gets old. Having a bathroom in each bedroom was perfect for us. The kitchen had everything we needed and a lot more. The inner pool was great. Surf lessons were a highlight for our kids and the waves offered plenty of practice. We look forward to the time when we can return!

This property is located in a small town which was perfect for us. You are far enough away from all the hustle and bustle but close enough for activities and restaurants. Tatiana was great, she made us dinner upon arrival which is something I highly suggest! Johnny is amazing and a Very hard worker. Ac worked great in the rooms, pool was a bit chilly but really nice on a hot day. Shawna is quick and great for responses and anything you may need. We never had any issues with WiFi. The beach, the beach is huge. Love the hammocks our front and the beach wasn’t ever really busy so it was pretty much like a private beach. Water is beautiful and fun to go boogie boarding! I brought my family of four with my mom and sisters family of four for Christmas and New Years 12 days total. Had an amazing time everything was great. The staff was amazing - Shawna the property manager was great and coordinated everything. Highly recommended exactly as advertised.

Only issue was with the toilet backing up but Tatiana and Jonny responded and the air conditioner quit working

Wonderful beachfront house. The staff are incredible and friendly and did a great job keeping both the house and grounds clean. We have 2 little kids and this place was perfect for us. The beach is amazing. Great surfing. Easy to get to the grocery store or Tamarindo if interested. The property manager was always available and helped set up everything we needed! Definitely want to return!
