Loved everything about The house! Extremely clean and decorated so well with all the Adirondack flair. JOANNA is an amazing hostess and made us feel comfortable before we even arrived. She brought us fresh muffins and had so many extra items within the house you don’t need to pack: toiletries, towels, spices, etc. The only thing that would have made it perfect for us, was if the house was set further back off the road. We have a 3 year-old German Shepherd who is a little too curious and likes to chase wildlife 😊 Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!

Property is beautiful and clean. We stayed in the upstairs apartment. There were 4 adults and there was plenty of space. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, and Joanna even brought us fresh baked muffins our first morning there. We had perfect weather for most of the trip and were able to enjoy the deck and fire pit. We had some trouble with the WiFi our first day, but a quick message to Joanna and it was all cleared up. Very pleased with the whole experience.

We had a fantastic stay at Joanna’s place. It was clean, comfortable and rustic cozy. The location is ~15 minute drive to Lake Placid and other towns… but beautifully situated with walking trail behind house which we and our dog loved for morning and evening walks. We’ll definitely be back!

We stayed for a long weekend and really enjoyed it. The kitchen is well stocked, comfy beds and linens. It was nice to have AC at night while we were there during a hot spell in the ADK in August. Joanna is a great host. Highly recommend!

We came to the Adirondacks to hike and explore the area. Joanna and Ken were fabulous in helping us determine hikes and other activities to do in the area. Joanna also provided a lovely chicken soup and fresh vegetables from her garden. In addition, The cabin was fabulous. The kitchen was fully stocked, the beds were comfortable, and the living area was super cozy. We also enjoyed a fire pit experience in the backyard and made s’more’s which was delightful. Property was beautiful this time of year with all types of flowers, and walking paths on the property were lovely as well. We brought our dog, and they made it very easy to have him there with us. She has a poop station right outside the door along with poop bags if needed. If you are looking for a place to stay, look no further! You have found it!

The Adirondacks are gorgeous and we enjoyed exploring the area.

We enjoyed our stay at Heartsong. Location was good, plenty of space for our family (5 total). Joanna was very responsive to any requests we had. Our only issue was the wi fi was inconsistent, though that was true just about everywhere in the Adirondacks.

Joanna was easy to work with and accommodated us for an early check-in due to a work Zoom conference. Unit was clean, delightful, and a lot of fun in the snow particularly.

The property is private yet close to Whiteface mountain and Plattsburgh. We enjoyed walking our dogs on the snowy trail on the property and they were able to get plenty of exercise. The apartment is beautifully decorated and provided our group with a comfortable opportunity to play games and cook meals together in between skiing and snowboarding. I bet it is beautiful during the warmer months too!! We look forward to coming back again!

We enjoyed our stay, the house was clean and nicely decorated, location was great , not far from the mountain. The owner was helpful, she even recommended for us to visit ice castle which my daughter really enjoyed.

We had wonderful time at the property. Location, location and location :) - 10 min drive to Whiteface mountain. House is gorgeous and cozy. I would say that it's a little too heavy on decorations, I would prefer to have more space, but still very nice. Joanna is very responsive and helpful. Thank you!

The location was perfect, close to Lake Placid but far enough to enjoy peace and quiet. Joanna and Lynn were gracious and forgiving when I misunderstood the property layout. Joanna was so accommodating, sharing from her garden, sharing her grandchildren's toys and giving us helpful hints about places to visit.

This is a very flexible space that works well for multiple families. Charming Adirondack decor!

A very spacious lodge/cabin with room for a large family. it is cozy, warm, very well equiped, nice location, close to the ski at Whiteface mountain and many other outdoor activities in the region, but also very private. the owner Joanne, is ver pleasent and helpfull, she is attentive to what ever you might need to enjoy your stay. I think is is a very good price/quality ratio. we stayed there for 8 nights, wish it could have been more, since there is such a calm and relaxin atmosphere, that makes you want to stay longer. the cabin has all you need to cook, entertain and have fun with all you family and friends, defenitly we wish to come back next year.

Beautiful houses. Very detailed and very ADK. Nice to have separate spaces for our 3 groups to have their own space. Very comfortable beds. Perfectly decorated. Joanna was very friendly and helpful. Shared veggies and herbs from her garden that we used in our dinner Saturday night. Made us muffins, which we thoroughly enjoyed for breakfast. Location was perfect for us to explore the beauty around us and close to my sons job at Ausable Chasm. Close to necessities we might have forgotten. Great fridges for all of our food. Everyone completely felt at home as soon as we walked in the door.

The property was wonderful and having rooms in two buildings worked great for my group. ACs worked well and temperatures were quite comfortable throughout our stay (even when it was sunny and 80+). We had a great time!

The homeowner lives upstairs in the main house, but no bother at all. Fresh eggs, herbs from garden. Very friendly. Home is very clean

We spent 4 wonderful days in this house during the past MLK weekend. House is located conveniently close to the Whiteface mountain (10 min drive). We rented both units - under the main house and in the guest room for party of 12. It was plenty of space for all. Units are well appointed and well maintained. We had everything we needed. Owner was great and very accommodating.

We have rented this property over new year's. Unfortunately the temperature dipped below -15F, with the average daily temperature around +2F- during our stay, getting us stuck inside for most of the time. While there are positive aspects of this property, renter beware of aspects that one may not like. The good: - the house is new-ish, clean and reasonably well appointed - the property is very nice, makes enjoyment of the outdoors easy (weather allowing) - the upper 2 bedroom apartment above the garage was very pleasant The not so good: - "lower level" 2 bedroom apartment of the main house that one rents is a misnomer. One rents the walk-out basement, which happens to be very dark (with a grand total of 3 covered small-ish windows for 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, a family room, a dining room and a kitchen) - the owner and her family (including kids) live above you, on the main level of the house. While the owners were not in any way intrusive (and had to put up with our New Year's music), we would prefer to have a property for exclusive use. Should we have known this upfront, we may not have chosen this property - the 1-room next to the garage had no built-in heating. When temperatures outside dipped to -20F (!!). The owner provided us with a heater (the second night!), which raised the temperature to about +50F. We needed to bring two other heaters of our own to get the temperature to a comfortable level - there is no actual ping-pong table, but a toy ping-pong table- making our kids very disappointed. In fact there is no space anywhere that would accommodate an actual ping-pong table! - The arrangement is not well-suited for a group of 12 people who actually want to spend time together. None of the rooms easily accommodates this number of people. We had to eat in shifts and do everything in shifts or split apart.
