The property was perfect. Texas beach is just what we needed. Location was perfect. The host responded to all needs and questions. We would recommended La Belle to anyone needing a time on the beach.

Very spacious beach house with a great view of the beach. Very clean and huge living area and kitchen. Beds are a little firm, but rooms are all perfect size. Tvs would be a must, but your not there to watch TV. Enjoy the views! Would recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing vacation. Owner responds promptly and is very nice.

The location is just what we were looking for; on the beach and down a bit from Surfside proper. The beach was great, the deck was great and the views were great. Everything worked just fine. The house itself has a lot of potential, it’s just poorly kept. The grill is rusted, the towels are very cheep and stained, the kitchen pots and pans are rusted, there are stains on the couches, there are left-over broken chairs downstairs, etc. I compare it to a two star hotel. If you don’t mind the lack of upkeep, it’s a good place.

This house was perfect for our annual trip. The layout is great, plenty of bathrooms and space for everyone. Loved that it was steps away from the beach and had a nice covered porch area.

We stayed for a week and the house was amazing! The host was very accommodating and answered our messages right away. We will definitely be renting again next year for you yearly family vacation.

We had a great stay here for our annual family beach trip. The walkway is right outside your door making the beach literally steps away! Large kitchen, plenty of beds and bathrooms, and large patio area under the home too. We had one minor maintenance issue, which the owner took care of within just a few hours. My only suggestion is that the home needs a thorough deep cleaning. Seems like some areas were being missed between renters. But we recommend this home, and would stay here again next year!

Our trip was comprised of my family of four, my b-i-l, s-i-l, their 3 year old, my m-i-l and f-i-l. My b-i-l's family arrived at the property first, a few minutes after the check-in time and had to wait roughly 20 minutes before they could enter the home; there was a handyman there painting. The wait, obviously wasn't terrible, but felt the owners could have let us know that there would be a delay in check-in. Upon entering, the door handle was broken (laying on the ground, someone did show up to replace it the next day), some type of melted candy (unsure, but that's what it looked like) on the coffee table, a dirty bathroom floor, one bedroom did not have a comforter on the bed, another bed had wet sheets on it (same bed had stains on the mattress protector), and dingy/stained couches and shower curtains. I let the owner know and she said the owner of the cleaning company would be by to return the comforter and to address any issues there. As for the mattress protector, she blamed past renters on using tanning spray and staining it. The owner of the cleaning company returned the comforter, took the mattress cover and bathroom mat to be washed, but did not offer to clean the bathroom floor. When it was time to go to bed, I curled up under the sheet and comforter and immediately smelled sweaty, mildew. As if there was a man who had been sweating all day and it turned to mildew on his clothes. It was the sheets, comforter, and pillow, so I moved the bunkroom. Frustrated, I sent a message to the owner detailing how deceiving the pictures are on the listing and how it looks like it is a very clean, well maintained home. I thought maybe they didn't realize that the home wasn't being properly cleaned and that they were getting rooked on their cleaning service. For there to be a $200 cleaning fee that guests pay, which I can only assume is what the owners, in turn, pay the cleaning company is beyond me. They refunded the cleaning fee, but got met with "I do hate that you feel this way" and more blame on past renters about "how terrible people treat our things when they are there". That is not an actual apology and nothing was done on their end to clean the bedding or replace pillows in the bedroom I was supposed to stay in. If you're considering renting the home, don't. For what they charge a night, they could put that towards the upkeep of the home, which is not apparent by the looks of it, and your money is better spent elsewhere.

The process went smoothly. No problems.

La Belle on the Beach is is a great location. This was our 3rd or 4th time staying here. Jeremy is always quick to respond with any questions or requests. A/C works really well. We had to keep raising the temp since the girls are always cold. The only drawback is the well water taste and smell but that's everywhere on the island. There is filter water for drinking and cooking but taking a shower is where you can taste and smell the well water. Again, this is an island thing. We'll be back.

Rental process was easy. Location was great...easy beach access. Beach not too crowded. Views very good. Lots of stairs to climb to get up to house. Only minuses were cleaning had not been done when we arrived. All laundry was in floor at washer/dryer. I did start the laundry then but luckily we had brought some bedding with us. Service brought clean towels and bedding the next day and refilled water dispenser then. Little late on the bedding tho. Toilet in master bedroom made a horrible noise on occasion. Little scarey the first time in the middle of the night.

This property is in need of basic cleaning. I own a cabin in Gatlinburg TN and know what it takes to run a VRBO. The toilets were disgusting, shower rods were corroded, windows were filthy (one of the folks staying with us attempted to clean them). All dishes and utensils in kitchen needs to be thrown out and new items purchased. The couch was filthy. All I did was apoligize to my guests and eventually sent them to other houses that my extended family had rented around us. Great location but very dirty.

The location was perfect! The place needs some regular maintenance and a little TLC. A water filtration system would greatly improve the usability of the water. The dish washer did not clean the dishes. The mattresses need an upgrade as well, but I'm a larger guy. All that being said it is a beach house with normal beach house problems. The owner responded quickly to the most important issues we had and we enjoyed our stay!!

The La Belle house is perfect for beach front view stay! Our family had a great time staying there! Would definitely recommend.

We spent three days at this perfect location. With a quick trip to Galveston, crabbing at the Crab Dock, and walks on the beach, we had a blast. The house was the perfect size for the nine of us.

Beautiful views with easy beach access made for a perfect family holiday! The house has plenty of comfortable common areas great for spending time together. The bedrooms/bathrooms are clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay.

The photos are accurate, but definitely moderate your expectations. You are paying for the location and convenience - not for luxury. I'm not trying to be negative - just realistic. We had a lovely time and were not upset by any of the conditions. This is a beachfront house at a very reasonable rate. Everything is functional and tidy.

It was great to be together for 3 days. We knew the weather in late November could be hot or cold but never dreamed it would rain 36 hours straight! Weather is something no one can control. Being located right on the beach has to be challenging to keep up with house maintenance but there were a few issues we felt required regular upkeep. Deck could use some paint or stain on regular basis, also had nails raised up in some places (we had a 15 mo old ), you are certainly warned about the water ahead of time but the available cookware was pretty rough looking. I would suggest owner just purchase inexpensive cookware and replace it every 3-4 months. Also, having someone touch up indoor paint regularly would be a plus. There also needs to be more lighting on deck and stairs as it is very dark. Owner was great to communicate with, location is awesome, house was clean, had a gate on deck which was great, and the close by drive through Daiquiri place saved the rainy day!

This house was such a disappointment from the beginning.. we arrived and I started wiping tables just to be sure they were cleaned.. nope, SOOO dirty.. everything! Even basic surfaces that the cleaning crew would have done if they actually cleaned were dirty. There was a ton of mouse poop all over in the drawers for the cooking utensils and the spice drawer. The bathrooms weren't cleaned touroughly, end tables by one of the beds still had a ring from a drink that was on the table.. like a dark drink of some sort.. there was mold/mildew on several of the throw pillows, almost every drawer and cabinet in the kitchen has drip marks from spills and stains of cooking.. there are crumbs and dirt on the inside of the drawers.. it was just gross. I've never left a bad review.. this place was so upsetting. AND it's a pandemic! I expect the owners to have their home THOROUGHLY cleaned. This was so unacceptable. I spent the first hour and then throughout our stay finding more and more areas that were bad. We've stayed at MANY beach houses over the years. This one was the worst. Which is sad because the house itself is really cute. It has potential but unless you're ok with that kind of rental.. don't bother. We had to go and buy all new cooking stuff and basically didn't use ANY of the kitchen stuff there. We left a day early.. Not enjoyable.

LaBelle beach house is in a perfect location with direct access to the beach by a wooden boardwalk over the sand dunes. It had plenty of space for parking, outdoor shower, beach chairs, kiddie pool that we used to put my 5 month in for a nap down in the beach. We spent the majority of our time on the large front porch balcony grilling, listening to music & catching up with great friends. The main thing that attracted us to LaBelle is the fact that there was 4 bedrooms & 4 bathrooms inside. The kitchen had just about anything you could need to prepare a meal. The beds were comfortable with clean & soft linens. The biggest thing for us was the fact that upon arrival everything seemed clean but once we settled in the first night it was clear that the house either got a rushed cleaning prior to us arriving or missed parts of the house all together. The kitchen had crumbs all under the appliances as well as out on the counter tops, the floor had sand as well as crumbs on it, the counters were sticky & had residual remnants of something dark. I grew up on the coast with well water so if you never have lived in a home with well water then I can imagine the panic you will have when you go into the bathrooms or look in the dish washer. The owner was very honest & forthcoming with the water situation & provided us with multiple 5 gallon water jugs to fill up with good drinking water. We also brought our own water bottles too. All in all we would definitely return for another stay at LaBelle, but just hope whoever cleans this house does a little better job.

When we arrived it was more then what we expected. Very roomy and the entire family enjoyed themselves.

This beachfront property is in a great location, on a nice public beach...just a short walk over the boardwalk to the beach. The beach is nice and flat without any rocks or any drop-offs (great for little kids)! Close road/beach access if needed. Great views...especially with a full moon! The well water is an issue when needing to wash veggies, brush your teeth or wash dishes/clothes...tastes terrible and makes everything brown, including the disgusting dishwasher. (There is a water dispenser for this reason). The house has decent amenities (great A/C!), but saw lots of ants and some bathtubs/showers didn’t drain good...and needed some dressers for clothes. Overall...you can’t beat the location and views!
