Great location, house was clean and in good condition. Would definitely stay here again.

The refrigerator had food stains in it. The garbage disposal was full of rotten food and was jammed. We cleaned both and fixed the jammed disposal. The owner tries to claim we had pets there. We didn't and when I challenged him for proof he quit emailing me. Guess we'll find somewhere else to stay next time I want to visit my parents.

The owner was great at communicating everything we needed. The house was great for what we needed. It's small, but because it's broke up by floors it doesn't feel small. I'd recommend a group to stay here!

Property is conveniently located but suffers from inattention. The stair railing’s main anchor bolt has come lose meaning when you grab onto it the entire railing moves significantly; a safety hazard. The basement shower drain was not attached, so when you stepped on it the drain cover shot out from under your feet, another safety hazard, and opened a large unguarded gap into the drain. Also the soap and shampoo dispenser from that shower had been ripped out leaving only the ragged bracket left on the shower. One of the pillow slips had apparently been put on wet and was horribly sour-fortunately we found a lot of laundry in the dryer and could replace it. The electronic lock to access the front door did not work about a third of the time. The upstairs tub clearly has a clogged drain; it took forever to drain after a shower.

Overall the property was what we needed to spend a weekend at KC Renaissance Faire. The house is smaller than you think I may be but all of the space is well utilized, and the 7 of us slept comfortably. I also appreciate the thoroughness of the instructions for the house that were provided for us. On thing to keep in mind, to the neighborhood has a lot of cars parked on both sides of the road so carpool if you can.

We had an excellent experience! We were able to cut costs and eat at the home vs eating out so this was great. Easy location and was close to our camp facilities. Close to mall also!

The duplex has all the essentials--enough in the kitchen to get by, (except there was no salt, just pepper), and there was plenty of bedding and towels. But overall the experience was just ok. The neighborhood was fine until someone had a very loud late night party, but it was nice and accessible to the freeway for easy access to KC. The duplex was very small, so we were pretty cramped, but luckily the area has plenty to do so it makes it easy to get out and stay plenty busy. I think our biggest complaint is that it just needs a good deep cleaning and some maintenance. It was surface clean, but I found myself cleaning a lot just to feel comfortable there. Also, some things were falling apart/needed repairs, like the railing was coming loose out of the wall which made us nervous with our kids there. I think if they did some good cleaning and repairs that I could recommend it, but not until some of those things are taken care of.

This house is located in a great location a quick trip and you are downtown Kansas city. Lots of comfy beds and everything you need for your stay!

The location is excellent, depending on your itinerary. It is about 30 minutes into downtown KC, but just a few blocks off of the highway. Quiet area, lots of shopping within a mile or so. HANDICAPPED ACCESS IS NOT AVAILABLE. This is a split level, you come in the front door and must go upstairs or downstairs. You can enter through the garage and there is bedroom and bath on that level, but the kitchen and dining area is upstairs. The building is clean, but shows wear. The kitchen is okay, but had not had pots and pans replaced on our arrival - there was one burnt dutch oven and one pan. On request a new set of pots and pans was brought in the next day. One bedroom has the shelves removed (broken off), leaving no storage space. There is WI FI and you access cable through roku. No regular tv access. You can get many stations on roku via Sling or your own Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. account. Boris handles problems expeditiously. Really great for families - not so good for elderly adults.

Very clean and the beds are comfy. We enjoyed our stay with 5 teenagers there was plenty of room to spread out and have space. Boris was very welcoming and very responsive to questions. We will definitely be coming back next time we are in Kansas City area.

This home is in need of LOTS of updating. Old carpet, cabinets fallling off and unstable shelving in bedroom closets. There is a very musty smell that is also unpleasant. I would not recommend staying at this home

We gathered here for an overnight with a handful of friends to play board games. The space worked great, the main table was nice and large to accommodate the games we played. It was clean and check in was easy. Would stay here again.

The main reason we chose this house was because of the deck an the yard. The deck was dirty an old an there was lots of bad places in the wood you could not set in any of the chairs the yard had not been taken care of an the grill was just gross an no way to clean it. The house inside served our needs an the kitchen was nice to have.

It was a nice clean place with great access to highways stores and restaurants! We highly recommend this house!

I had a great and comfortable stay here. The house was clean and had all the essentials. If there was any issue, Boris was quick to respond. Overall, I would stay here again if I came back to Overland Park.

We had a great time here, and it was so close & easy to get to shopping & restaurants. This is our second time here, and we'll come back again.

We had a very nice stay. The place was clean and well maintained. It seems that Boris has made an effort to make the place accommodating.

This is an older half of a duplex and not a huge house but was set up in a very spacious fashion with a basement that had a small living room, beds, bathroom, and a good sized tv and an upper floor with a dining room with good sized tv, small kitchen, bedrooms, and bathroom. There was a little deck on the back with a grill (we didn't use it, was rainy) and a very small back yard but it was fenced so perfect for the kids. The house was nicely updated. The furniture was basic, but for the price they charged on a weekend that there was a major concert in town, I thought everything was well worth the money and we were very happy with it. Perfect economical option for large groups. Owners promptly refunded security upon request and all the information given was very clear and easy. Highly recommend this vacation rental. Thank you for your hospitality!

What a great location! So central to everything Kansas City...easy access to malls, restaurants, highways etc...nice neighborhood felt safe...it IS a duplex so courtesy must be shown to the neighbor re: parking, noise etc but we had absolutely no problems... entry was easy, go upstairs to 2 bedrooms, one where parents and one infant stayed (baby in a pack and play) and the two year old stayed in a pack and play in the other bedroom...kitchen, bathroom (very clean and ample towels) and dining room and access to deck also on this floor...we had everything we needed in the kitchen except dish towels which the owner offered to bring right over but there was no need as local relative dropped off a few...only suggestion here I would make might be to include one large skillet since the place houses so many people...the downstairs has a living area with TV and a fold-out sofa on which 2 children slept, and then there is a separate bedroom (closed door) with bunk beds and a fold-down futon so 3 children slept in this room...downstairs also has a nice bathroom with shower and access to the garage with a washer and dryer... the price was very reasonable considering the location and amount of people that it can house....communication with host was easy and excellent...host answered any communications immediately and made everything very easy....refund was no problem...in short, we would absolutely stay here again, and we thank Boris for his hospitality!

We had 5 adults and 4 children stay. The house was great because the kids were able to sleep and play in the basement so that the adults could relax upstairs and stay up later without keeping the kids awake. The fifth adult slept on the futon upstairs, which was not super comfortable, and we ran out of blankets for everyone but if you bring extra blankets and don't use the futon (or bring an air mattress or padding for it), it should be perfect. Very clean, located very close to numerous stores and restaurants, and overall a great experience, especially for the price.

Good location, fit our needs very well and Boris was easy/great to get a hold of for questions. Very minor issue, the house had a "vacant" smell, but with a little spray that was provided, we made it smell much better. Also, TV controllers were a little confusing to get started, but managed to figure it out. Instructions were pretty vague. We would stay here again!! Thank you Boris....you were so kind to reply in a quick manor.

Overall this was a good value in a very convenient location. It is an old building, so once one person is awake the whole house is awake. The neighbors had a very loud party one night and kept us all up, so I had to call the cops, but I understand that was most likely an isolated incident. Given all factors I would still stay here again.
