The cabin was fantastic..we didn’t want to leave..check-in was easy and the property manager gave quick responses..would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone planning to stay in the Talkeetna area.

This property is everything it says and more. Perfectly decorated and generously stocked for cooking. Located in a quiet neighborhood it was easy to get to town. The sauna was a big plus for us since we were there in winter. We could not have asked for a more perfect place to stay.

We wanted to be close to town but far enough away.. we could have walked!!! The home is perfectly cleaned, nicely designed Hawaiian/Aloha spirit😁 Everything is well thought out - well stocked kitchen, easy on heat.. super sauna. We had great flights/etc to see Denali, relaxed at the house and went downtown easily.

The cabin was gorgeous with a very thoughtful layout and luxurious amenities. It was in a cute neighborhood walking distance to the village. Our stay was short but we got in a beautiful cross country ski, enjoyed clear views of Denali, and relaxed.

This is our second stay & we have enjoyed everything about it. The owner & their team have the vacation rental game dialed in with attention to detail and clear communication. We are looking forward to staying again.

Everything about this place was wonderful

This was our first trip to Alaska and my husband and I had no idea what to expect or even look for. So I have to admit that I was attracted to the Hale Kolea because of the name - we've been to Hawaii a few times and loved it. We only stayed a few nights and we were in and out quite a bit so we did not take advantage of the steam room (although it looked fabulous and instructions on use were well posted and very clear) or the nicely equipped kitchen aside from the coffee maker (thank you for the Hawaiian blend coffee!). But the cottage is so comfortable. The bed was fantastic and I just loved all of the artwork and the corresponding description of each in the binder on the dining table. There's a bulletin board with local business cards and maps, a basket of magazines/maps and that sort of thing, games and books. We were there in August, so it didn't get fully dark until after 10, and the sun did wake us up in the morning when it streamed through the windows - we forgot our eye masks! But this was not an issue since we needed to get up anyway. I do recommend that you bring some. The cottage is within walking distance to downtown, but we drove since we were on to other things before/after. The neighborhood was surprisingly quiet given that there are other cabins/cottages next door and across the street. We plan on coming back as soon as we can and staying a few days longer so we can fully enjoy all that this lovely home offers.

A great cabin, close to town. It is new, clean and well equipped with all the essentials. The cabin is well decorated and inviting. Would definitely recommend!

Clean and cozy cabin from which to stage our adventures up and down the highway~ Great bed, plentiful pillows, soft sheets. Kitchen was well equipped and full sized appliances well maintained. Bath was functional and lovely~ needed the extra heater, thanks! Lights, fan, and laundry all thoughtfully placed and in perfect order. Warm and welcoming, this cabin delivered beyond the ad. Great little cabin to stay in for two people! The bed, pillows, couch, chair are all very comfortable!! The shower was nice too! Sadly the sauna was not working during our trip, but overall it was a great place to stay!

Very charming and spacious cabin within easy walking distance of historic Talkeetna and its shops, restaurants, etc. The cabin is very well stocked and has some very nice amenities including a sauna and large shower. Great value.

After 2 weeks of camping, we were thrilled to rest and recover in this cozy, warm, well appointed cabin. Conveniently located near “town” but nice and quiet, even with construction going on across the street. Well appointed and just as described.

This home is far above the usual rentals in Talkeetna. Clean, bright, and comfortable, the home has premium finishes and amenities that make it stand out. We used this is our base for activities in Denali and Healy and it was perfe ct! Owners are very accommodating and communication was great. Thank you, Richard, for sharing your home!!

The cabin was very well kept and the little personal touches made it very welcoming. The complimentary chocolates and the coffee were welcomed surprises. The bed was a bit too hard, but the rest of the decor was very nice. Great location right in town, but the neighborhood was very quiet during our stay.

This cute cabin is perfect in every way. The owners thought of everything. Very comfortable bed. So nice to curl up on the couch with a glass of wine after a busy day of sightseeing.

We stay in Talkeetna often, either in our camper at the campground or we rent a cabin. This is the BEST cabin we’ve ever had the pleasure of renting! And we’ve rented quite a few over 27 years here! Communication was spot on. Check in was easy. The decor of this cabin is impeccable with artwork from both Hawaii and local TKA artists! It was spotless and well appointed. I even made chocolate chip cookies in the cabin Saturday morning to bring to friends’ yurt for campfire night. We didn’t use the sauna but the next time we come we will be sure to make time for that! I think we have found our TKA staycation location for life (when we don’t have the camper In tow)! Mahalo for sharing such a true gem!

This was our first trip to Alaska, and we didn't know what to expect. We got way more than anticipated. I am OCD about cleaning, and this place was super clean. The ambiance was perfect. We got to see the Aurora Borealis Lights one night. It snowed a couple of times and it was exactly what we needed. We'll be back.

This was a wonderful, clean and cozy spot in central Talkeetna area. We really booked for the sauna though! Its a great addition to a day of adventuring in the cold.

Everything from the host being awesome, to the property. This was a great stay, very well maintained place, the design and the décor are very tastefully done. Sauna was a great addition after a nice day of Fat bike riding. I would recommend this to anyone! Thanks for the chocolate covered macadamia treats!!

We came for two nights after the Christmas rush and before New Years and were delighted to find such a sweet spot to relax. The neighborhood was quiet and the amenities were perfect to just spend time inside before and after hours of skiing around the XYZ and Tigger lake trails. Thank you!

This cabin was the perfect place for our Christmas getaway. It was extremely cozy, and the kitchen was more than adequately stocked for our every need. The sauna was an added bonus. Checking in was easy, the manager was very friendly and accommodating. Getting a phone call from the host was a surprise bonus! We would definitely stay here again.
