This unit had everything we needed. The a/c worked great. The kitchen was well stocked. Having a washer/dryer in the unit is a must, and the laundry room gave us an area to store boogie boards/beach bags. The living room and master b/r open to the balcony and the beach - what a gorgeous view! We spent so much time out there just enjoying the scenery. The room with the bunk beds is small, but actually sufficient even for the two teen girls who shared it. Beds were really comfy. The unit was clean. Some things will eventually need refreshed - the bedroom carpet has seen some wear, for example. Having it tiled eventually would be very nice - but everything was serviceable. Underground parking was a great perk too. Gulf Dunes is in a great location. it is within easy walking distance of shops, activities, and food. (Stewby's Seafood Shanty is literally across the street - it's a must-visit!) The elevators at Gulf Dunes felt a little sketchy - sometimes a few extra squeaks and bounces on the ride but hey - if it makes you too nervous, walking the stairs is great exercise. :-) Otherwise the property was kept nicely. Walkway to the beach is composite decking so no splinters in your feet to worry about. Pool area was maintained daily. We had a wonderful visit and are excited to go back! The condo fit all of our needs. The bunk bedroom was small and hot to sleep in. The unit was clean and nicely decorated.

The kitchen is well stocked with cooking supplies. Every appliance is in working order and the A/C works great. Property is well maintained. Stewby’s across the street is the best meal around. At the best price around. I did have to call to check out, directions say to check out on the Happy Stays app, but wasn’t able to find it there…. Otherwise, all instructions about property are well communicated.

This is my second visit to this property and it's really great!!! We'll be back again for sure!

Unit 612 at Gulf Dunes was very spacious, clean, modern and well-equipped with supplies. It comes with its own covered parking, which was definitely a plus as not all units have covered parking. Someone did park in our parking spot one night during our stay but that was not the fault of the unit owner or Sunset Rentals. The reserved parking spaces are very clearly marked with unit numbers. I just wish that Gulf Dunes security handled incidents like this better. This happened late at night and we called the after hours security number on site to report it but we got no response whatsoever. We did not bother calling Sunset because we do not believe that was their fault. Overall though, we had a very pleasant stay and would stay again.

Loved the view of the beach from the balcony. All four of us could sit outside and enjoy it. There was plenty of room inside the condo for four adults (my husband, our two adult "kids" and me). Although the condo comes with the daily beach service for two I think it would be such a nice touch if Sunset Rentals could also include two extra beach chairs in the condo that could be used. There are some floats, boogies boards, etc. in the laundry room closet, but no extra beach chairs. Maybe people that drive bring their own, but we flew in. They don't need to be expensive, large, or anything fancy. We loved the location and also enjoyed a couple of home cooked meals using the well-equipped kitchen. It's a very nice, clean, comfortable place to stay with a wonderful view. It's fun to walk to nearby restaurants such as the Crab Trap and Rockin' Tacos.

Much nicer than photos. Roomy and well thought out accommodations. Wished the air conditioning was more efficient. Even following posted instructions couldn’t get it to cool below 77degrees. Thank goodness for ceiling fans. Had to buy a fan for bunk room.

The condo was immaculate! It had plenty of room plus a beautiful view of the beach. The kitchen was stocked very well with items for cooking. Extremely quiet and peaceful.

Stayed in the area before and the location is great. Unit 612 was nicely equipped but carpets were dirty and need a good cleaning. The unit directly below was being renovated and indoor time was not enjoyable. Did not enjoy the demo wake-up call. Saws and banging started at 7:30 am. Finally called and was told it should be done by Friday (the day we left), they work 8-5 and no control over it. Then, there was “scheduled maintenance” in the middle of our stay which amounted to entering the unit to change a filter. There was ample time to change a filter before/after our stay. It was unnecessary and intrusive. The west side beach/pool men's & women's restrooms were “out of order” 5/7 days we stayed. It was a huge inconvenience!! Each unit comes with 2 beach chairs/1 umbrella. The chairs/umbrellas were never full but families were made to pay for a second set even though they were not needed by other guests and literally remained unoccupied the entire day. Don't feel we got our money's worth.

The condo itself is beautifilly decorated and the location can't be beat. We stayed here when summerncrowds slowed so it felt private sometimes. I would stay here again.

The unit was outstanding and the views from the balcony were awesome. Everything needed was there in the unit. The only draw back was the bed in the master bedroom, The mattress was extremely hard.

We stayed for a week for a family vacation. The location was great and the view of the beach is amazing from the patio. The property is nicely maintained and has a good variety of amenities. The option to rent kayaks and paddle boards from the beach was an added bonus. The condo was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked. We had a minor maintenance issue and property management was very prompt in addressing the issue. Would definitely recommend!

We love this condo! It's comfortable and roomy. It's very clean and well equipped. It's the most well-equipped kitchen of all the condos we've rented. The one complaint I have is for the cookware. The only nonstick skillet is warped, with a slight dome in the middle of the pan. If you cook eggs, they slide out to the edges of the oan

I'll bring my own pan next time. There are plenty of sheet pans, a pizza stone, and slow cooker. They even have salt and pepper, which is rare in a rental. There's a full sized laundry room, complete with a vacuum cleaner. There are some beach toys in the closet as well, so check there before you buy floats. We rented a different condo in the same complex for a few days before this one was available. That unit only had two towels and washcloths per bathroom, even though the condo slept 8. Unit 612 had plenty of towels and washcloths. We were so glad to have covered parking and we were able to keep our sandy beach toys behind our car. Warning: because the parking spot is on the edge of the garage, we did have an issue with people “borrowing” our things and had to get them back. We labeled them after that. We think it was just a misunderstanding, of folks not realizing they belonged to us. On a good note, we were gifted with beach chairs from a family who didn't want to haul them home. We did the same for another family. There is onsite overnight security, which was a nice addition. The grounds are well-kept and the maintenance crew is always there during daylight hours. There are extra pillows in the closets, but no pillowcases, so bring extras for those. We've rented this unit before and will again. We love how close everything is. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, along with miniature golf, and the pier. Don't forget to watch the fireworks from your balcony on Wednesday nights!

As Snowbirds we feel so blessed each season to be able to spend several months on the beach at Gulf Dunes 612. The TLC of this rental makes it our home away! Thankful & Blessed by the care shown by the property owners and management. 😊

We have rented this condo before and love the way it is decorated, its location and everything about it. I am hoping to rent it again next year.

The condo itself was very clean and pretty. The building was ok. There were two pools but only one was available because of balcony railings being painted. This should be done in the fall during less busy times The one pool was so busy for the east and west buildings to share. Would try another condo next time in Fort Walton

The most perfect condo ever! Perfect view, location, kitchen, laundry rooms, rooms. The only negative we had were the beds. We own memory foam beds and found the older, spring beds to be hard and a bet uncomfortable around day 5. Other than that, we loved it and will always use this condo!

This condo was beautiful. It comfortably slept the four adults and two kids in our group. The condo was well stocked with everything we needed and had a gorgeous ocean view. We would definitely recommend this location to family and friends.

This unit was beautiful and very comfortable. The kids room in the front was perfect for our two kids. We would recommend this location for any couple or family wanting a relaxing vacation spot.

We loved the decor, high ceilings, feel of home and large deck view of the Gulf!!

My wife and I spent the entire month of Nov. 2018 in this unit. Everything was very clean and up to date. Thankfully we didn't need anything major, but if we did, I'm sure it would have been taken care of in a timely manor. Day trips or relaxing/reading/napping this is a great place to be. Thanks for helping make it a great stay.

It was an amazing trip and the condo was perfect!

We found the condo to be very nicely decorated, clean and with a fully equipped kitchen. We had not issues other than having to evacuate due to a hurricane and are looking forward to returning next year.

There were 6 of us that stayed and we had tons of room plus a big balcony. We’ve stayed in condos elsewhere before that looked one way online and another when you got there. This one is true to its pictures. Very clean! We will be back!

My family and I had a wonderful time at Gulf Dunes. The condo was clean, spacious, has a excellent location, and beautiful view of the Gulf. This was a first time trip to Ft. Walton Beach and it will not be the last.

We enjoyed the updated decor. The rooms and bathrooms were in good shape. We also appreciated the tv in all rooms. The laundry room is a big help. We had a problem with the bunk beds ,they felt like a wire mesh covered in cloth. This made things hard the first couple nights trying to find a comfortable place for our daughter to sleep. Sunset Rental brought us an air mattress, and that helped, thank you Stacey. That was a disappointment to us considering what we payed. The unit would be perfect if this was taken care of, I hope the owners consider this. There was also a problem with the elevators both being broken off and on, kinda hard when you are on the 6th floor.

We had a very good time. We would do it again in the future
