Great location with a fantastic view of the marina

Great location on Friday Harbor. Shared patio space had excellent view. Room was small but neat. Perfect for our two night stay. The shared walls are thin but the room was supplied with ear plugs and a noise machine.

I loved everything about this property except the thin walls. You could do something about the slamming doors; however, people should understand after the first time their door slams, they need to hold it to close it.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time staying at the Cannery Inn. The hotel has everything you need and self check-in was a breeze. On our way out after the weekend we even stowed a bag or two at their office in Friday Harbor, which we were happy they graciously allowed after checkout. The only thing that would've made the stay better is thicker walls. We could almost hear everything the couple adjacent to our room was saying and doing. The street noise wasn't bad though and it was quiet otherwise. The deck is a great amenity, we had a great time sitting out there. All in all, we will be back!

It is true that the walls are thin but ear plugs are provided if you’re a light sleeper. Great location! Very clean with an amazing view from the deck.

This place isn't designed to accommodate vacationers. Two chair and a table in the room would be so useful because there was a lot of rain and wind when we were there making it difficult to sit at the patio. No conditioner or body wash. That's the bare minimum one would expect. The bath drain pools while showering and hot water smells bad. Overall not a great stay other than the convenient location. I wouldn't stay there again. Especially the noise made it impossible and not enough amenities to make it worth it.

The doors into the units are interior doors with gaps below the doors so definitely not sound proof. We were out of the room seeing the island so the noise wasn’t an issue. Watching the float planes, ferries and boats from the deck in the afternoon was worth the trade off of the room limitations.

The location over the marina and close to restaurants is perfect. Yes, the walls are thin, as advertised, but we had quiet neighbors

There was no air conditioning, but the room ventilated pretty well with the window and doors. The patio seating had a great view of the harbor and other islands. The only issue was that the walls were a bit thin, but there were provided earplugs, and nothing was loud enough to interrupt our sleeping. We would definitely look in to staying here again.

We enjoyed a fantastic vacation at Friday Harbor despite the drawbacks at Cannery Inn. Pros: Clean and just a few minutes walk from town. The common deck/patio is a nice place to hang out. Cons: 1. Small for the price. The photo on VRBO and Air B&B made the room look larger than it is. Our room was the size of a small hotel room. 2. Lack of privacy. The door into the hallway has a 1-1/2" gap at the bottom. Our windows faced the street only10 feet away, and the patio door opened to a shared deck. The walls are paper thin. Our neighbors were talking quietly into the night and it kept my wife awake (not me - I sleep like a log). The management offers a jar of earplugs sitting on the microwave, so obviously, we were not the first guest to experience this.

Loved staying at this location. Short walk to anywhere you might want to go. Walls are thin but didn’t really cause any issue. More entertaining than anything!!

The place is beautiful. The location couldn’t be better. But sleep is critical. The bed hurt our backs and sides of ribs. Every morning woke up in pain.

It was a very interesting property! Perfect set up over the harbor. Very close to whatever you may need, even during Covid.

We stayed at the Blue Water Suites. It was convenient for dining and activities and right by the Harbor.

It is a tastefully updated studio that is just on the edge of town. A short walk to restaurants and my favorite coffee shop, Crows Nest Coffee. Excellent value for the room rate.

Reviewer Comments: We arrived on the island on the ferry and were happy that we could easily walk to our room. The service is limited while you stay. No cleaning, change of towels, etc. The location is next to a local hall that hosts events and can be noisy and the rooms are not well insulated so you hear people coming and going in the hallway. It is expensive for what you get and we would not recommend it if you have other options

Lovely spot for a Friday Harbor stay. Very nice patio that overlooks the water, and the room is close to everything.

This spot is everything we want in a place to stay on San Juan. great convenient location, but a bit off the main drag so it's quiet. Nice design, amenities and lovely view over the marina. The property managers are awesome.
