My cousin and I came to Marine City for a long weekend fishing trip. This condo is part of a large, older home that has been sectioned off into a couple of condos. It has it’s own entrance and is completely private. The condo is large with three main living areas: bedroom, family room and kitchen. It was clean, furnished nicely and the amenities were of better quality than most other VRBOs where I have stayed. There was room to park our car and boat trailer on the street in front of the condo. The location is fantastic, only one block away from the main thoroughfare where all the shops and restaurants are located and adjacent to the St Clair River. The only thing that detracted from the condo is that there are two or three vehicles parked in the driveway that appear to be in disrepair. However, this was not a big deal to us and hopefully it is a temporary situation. Overall, this condo was a great value and we would stay there again!

Great location – steps away from St Clair river, restaurants, parks. The property was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Parking located directly in front of unit. The host was extremely responsive to any questions.

We were in Marine City to attend a play at the Riverbank Theater. This apartment was 2 blocks away! Not only was the location perfect for us, but the house was in great shape and very cozy. We would stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay in downtown Marine City. The property met all of our needs, great location, and the owners were wonderful!

This site has huge potential - the owners really need to prioritize ensuring the unit is clean. The bed smelled like a man and poor body odor - the bathroom shower had soap scum and hair like it hadn't been touched - the kitchen sink was dirty & the keurig had water in it (I think my preference would be empty cleaned) - furniture was quite used but comfy but there was a Dec pillow with the corner tore up and batting coming out. The coffee offered was nice - I didn't have any but my husband did after cleaning the keurig several times. I would dedicate time to DEEP CLEAN it after each use. Hostess was very good at communicating with me regarding the reservations.

We froze in this house. The bed was terrible, no washcloths, nasty black something around the base of the shower. Not the curb appeal the picture shows.

This place was much bigger than we thought. We so appreciated the extra touches like Keurig coffee cups and soaps and lotions. It was also very clean. We took in a theatre performance of Bye Bye Birdie in town (which was very well done!), watched freighters in the park, swam at the local tiny beach, shopped in the cute little shops, dinner at Anita’s on the river twice and ice cream at the Sweet Tooth- ALL within walking distance! Kari was so quick to answer any questions we had through the VRBO app!!! Only trouble we had was local restaurants being closed on Monday and Tuesday’s. But we have experienced this all summer due to trying to recover from Covid pandemic! Again - great place , kind and helpful hosts!

It was really well decorated, cozy, lots of amenities, nice owners.

There is nothing bad to say about this property. The owners were welcoming and accommodating. The apartment was clean, tidy, and pleasantly larger than anticipated. I highly recommend staying here weather your stay is short or long!

Our hosts were friendly and nice without being at all intrusive. We stayed in the dead of winter, nice and cozy. We just imagine what it must be like in the summer. Thanks

This apartment in Marine City was awesome. Walkable distance to food, parks on the river and other activities. The apartment was spacious and comfortable. The hosts are amazing and were ready to help if anything was needed.

Kari is great, very responsive and thoughtful, she obviously takes pride in the apartment and the way it presents itself. Little treats left on the bed, pods for the Keurig, etc... Location is great, just a quick 2 minute walk to nearby restaurants by the water (favorites are marine city fish company and Anitas). Only thing that could be better is the wifi, it did not work for us so we couldn't watch TV or use wifi for our phones, probably a good thing bc it encouraged us to spend more time together :)

We needed a last minute place to stay for a family funeral. Kari made everything easy for us in this time and we felt completely comfortable in her home. Thank you Kari.

I have stayed at this property twice when I’ve been in the area to visit family during the winter and summer. It’s in a convenient location, close to downtown amenities. Kari is very responsive to questions. I appreciate all the things she does to make you feel welcome - the extra toiletries, snacks, welcome note and even towels near the door to visit the beach. My husband and I plan to stay here again in future visits when it’s available.

Great Place to stay in MC. The cleanliness of the place was excellent. The rooms were large and there was plenty of space. Location was very convenient being only a block from town. I would stay here again and highly recommend it to others if your staying in MC.

We had a great stay in Marine City! The apartment was clean, comfy and in a great location. The added touches were a nice. Candles, snacks, coffee bar, games, magazines. Extremely comfy bed. It’s a cute, friendly little town with good food. Just what we were looking for. Kari was very accommodating. Overall an excellent stay.

Great place, walking distance to plenty of wonderful shops and restaurants. Spacious apartment that has all you need.

We were a bit disappointed feeling that it was way over-priced for what it was. The bed was comfortable and the apartment was well stocked except for towels. We had three between the two of us and we were there from Friday to Thursday. Also there was a door in the bedroom leading to the garage, in which people were working on cars. That door only locks from the garage side which to me could be security problem.

We greatly enjoyed using Marine City as our base - loved walking to some good eating spots and we never tired of observing the many passing ships on the river. The apartment is roomy but perhaps would be more appealing if it was "finished", ie holes in walls where fittings have been removed should be patched, etc. Kari and Brad shared some helpful local tips with us and a toaster when we requested it. Would have loved to have been prewarned that Brad worked on his cars directly outside and moving the garbage bins to a different spot would make it more attractive. Overall, we were very happy with our experience at this property. It might have been my misunderstanding, but I was under the impression that the apartment was on the main drag and directly across the street from the river, but it was actually about a two-block walk and so our view was an old building across the street. When we first arrived, we had trouble with the code at the door because we didn't know to wait for the whirring sound indicating that the door had been unlocked. I called Kari who appeared within minutes to let us in and we had no problem with the lock after that. The place was clean and bright and we were comfortable the entire time. Kari had a lot of snacks on hand along with a Keurig, K-cups and tea bags.

This was a very large apartment. Felt like I was literally home away from home. Not hotel like. Snacks. Keurig. Soft bed. Bathroom toiletries. Even though the weather was bad, I didn't feel like I was "stuck" inside. Very comfortable. I loved the touches of the "old" building. Very sweet and quaint. I would definitely stay here again! The owners were so nice and accommodating. You won't be disappointed in this rental.

We thought it was nice and clean with a nice comfortable bed. However, it was kind of cold with only a small space heater. We never did find a thermostat for more heat so it got chilly by early morning. Only parking was on the street and was to small for a full size pickup. The bathroom being directly across from the front door with see through curtains could of been embarrassing if someone was at the door when dashing from bathroom to bedroom to dress.
