Have an amazing weekend at this house. Community was warm and friendly. Roads good for walks and many people to meet. Many activities to do in the area. Will definitely be returning.

On our first morning there, we had a gentleman show up to "service the dishwasher." While the gentleman was nice, we were given no notice and (being that we were all woman staying alone) we felt a tad uncomfortable. The other was on our checkout day. Checkout was at 10AM. At 9AM, the Taylor-Made truck showed up, and a man started walking around the property. He then proceeded to come into the house, UNINVITED, through the back door. Again, ALL WOMEN, staying at this house alone- and a man walks in from the outside without an invitation. The experience booking and leading up to our rental was wonderful and the staff was very accommodating. However, I was completely put off by the aforementioned two experiences.

The home was spotless,well maintained inside and out and stocked with everything you would need for your stay. The rental staff was very helpful and came right out when we couldn't connect DVD players. I have to say our favorite part of the home was the back deck with the outdoor fireplace which we enjoyed every night! The family wants to rent it again next year!

The kitchen has everything you could possibly need, the outdoor fireplace, the decor and layout were lovely and everything was exceptionally clean. Since it can be challenging to manage big groups, I really appreciated the ease of check-in and checkout. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone with a big group.

The layout of the house was very conducive to enjoying the company of other families, but still having enough room to spread out. The bar room was a great touch and was heavily used due to the dreadful weather. Also, enjoyed the covered patio/fireplace on the side of the house. Overall the house was perfect for our needs, the only complaint being the condition of the furniture. The couch in the basement was in terrible shape and had the leather peeling off in several large patches. The shuffleboard table while fun is relatively beat up and has seen better days. The couch in main room had a hole in the back and at least one of the cushions had the plastic wiring sticking out. This would be the perfect house for all seasons once the furniture is updated. Taylor Made was great to work with as usual, with a special thanks to Raven for all her help making this celebration possible.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I, along with 12 of our friends stayed at the Mountainlair for a weekend getaway. We had a great time and got to relax in the house, as well as hit the slopes (which are roughly 200 yards away). Big house with a lot of character fit all of us fine, but there were some imperfections... Out of the 4 showers in the house, only the one in the master bedroom had hot water all weekend. So that was an inconvenience for everyone to have to use just one shower. Also the kitchen sink didnt have hot water so it made it hard to clean some of the greasy dishes. On top of that, the dish washer wouldn't run it's cycle properly so we couldnt run dishes all weekend. The hot tub was nice in size, but one of the head rests had been broken off before our arrival and it made it so one of the pipes shoots water out of the top of the tub, so we had to fill it on two differemt occasions... All in all, we had a great time and this house is great for it's cleanliness and proximity to the slopes. I just hope the company can fix these issues before the next people rent this house. I would definitely stay here again if the above issues are addressed.

We thought the house was in reasonable shape but for the money charged it could have been been better, the couch downstairs was old and peeling and there were patches on the walls. The bed in the basement was tilted and the tv did not work. Other than that all was good. We picked the coldest weekend of the year to ski which was unfortunate. I suppose we will take a chance and book at the last minute so we can see the weather report from now on. We lost the money we put down as a deposit on ski school because it was too cold to ski. Half the chair lifts were not operating. We called management several times Thursday night for help getting my niece and her husband from the base of the neighborhood to the house. No one answered. It was a virtual white out and the roads don't all have signs on them. We would likely try Deep Creek again in a different season. Can you tell us when the security deposit will be returned?

I love the Deep Creek area and seems to have improved over the past year with new restaurants and plenty of outdoors activities. The house easily slept 10 adults and had a nice great room where everyone was able to congregate and catch up. I would definitely stay here again!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Morning We had 3 couples staying at this home from Canada-Indiana-Virginia. Our check in date was Sept 22nd and check out was Oct 1st. All in all we were pleased with the home. Upon our arrival from Canada, we went to office and were able to check in approx 1hr ahead of time. It was very much appreciated. The staff at check in were wonderful and assisted us a great deal. We were extremely disappointed to discover there was "gravel" roads for part of our access to the home. All of us had motorcyles and this was a specific request when looking at homes in the area that there be no gravel. Until the roads are paved no customer should be there with motorcycles. The roads were full of potholes and it made travel in and out a daily struggle. We had an issue with the air-conditioning. Our first communication with the office had no rep call or come to the home. A REP was at the home to maintain the hottub- we advised him of the issue and he reported to Maintenance and we had a REP within minutes come to the home. He advised us that it was fixed and we should no longer be freezing in the home. Next morning the house was down to 62 and unfortunately the issue was never resolved.There was no TV in one of the upstairs bedrooms. Advised the office- REP came and left note that there was no box in room and the cable company would be in contact. For our entire 9 day stay this was not addressed and no contact. I do understand this is "minor" in some guests opiniions but it meant a great deal to the couple whom did not have it. The room was advertised and booked upon those guarantees. It is a beautiful area with a very welcoming feel.The "local" business's and people were fantastic.

When we arrived some of the beds were. It fully made and some curtains were off the curtain rod. Minor trash in fire pit, but overall we would stay here again.
