The location is a bit more remote than we thought it would be, but worth the drive. It is spectacular, sitting in the hot tub under the redwoods - epic. We would stay again in a heartbeat. The stairs to the second level bedroom are a bit steep and is felt more coming down the steps so hold on. The rooms are spacious. We planned our meals at home each night and had all the equipment to cook with. Maybe some spices (cinnamon, garlic salt-the basics..etc) would be nice, however, there was some flour and sugar which was really nice. There is a pressure cooker, but a crock pot would be nice too. That's the worst I can think - it's beautiful and we look forward to going back and the price point is perfect for what you get.

The property was cute and clean, but the location was not great. The neighbors have trailers and trash piled up next to the house. There were dogs offleash from neighbors so we could not even walk our dog outside with a leash. The river access wasn’t great. We stayed in the cabin with most of the time or went into Healdsburg. We left a day early .

The location is very cool, slightly in the mountains, and a very short drive into town. Definitely take (a very short) walk to the river and along the river bed. It''s so pretty! Overall, it was an ideal place to stay!

We really did enjoy staying at this property nestled in towering Redwood trees next to the Russian River. We loved walking our dog along the river, and he had a ball playing in the water. The house is cozy, comfortable, and has the best appointed kitchen I have seen in a vacation rental.

The kitchen was really well stocked and had a lot of gadgets and dinnerware that's usually missing in a rental. We really appreciated it. Overall, we'll totally come back to this property and highly recommend it to others.

The house was clean, beds comfortable and the kitchen was perfect for cooking. There was everything we needed. The one thing that was a problem was the hot tub. There was so much chlorine in it that it changed my suit from black to brown. So we did not use the tub.

The house was great and though the temperature was very hot during the day there were ample fans and even an air conditioner in the living room. Easy access to the river which had plenty of water and even some deep pools where you couldn't even touch the bottom. The front and rear decks were very nice and the hot tub was great. We'd stayed in a house across the street on the river once but this was a much nicer place and we would definitely rent it again and will most likely do so. Fenced back yard was great for the dogs

This house was in a great scenic location just a 10 minute drive from town! It was in a nice secluded area less than a 2 minute walk from the river. The house was very cute and had a very nice patio area to relax on.

We stayed here for 5 days in February, Debra was very helpful and the home was just as described. A short drive from downtown and only miles from many beautiful wineries. The home was clean and they provided clear instructions on everything that was needed. The kitchen was well equipped and the main room was large and airy. The hot tub was a great relaxing feature and the spacious patio area was great for grilling and spending time with friends. The home has a stereo and a computer which was helpful. There is no cable but through the stereo you can access your Netflix, Hulu accounts, etc. Bring towels for the hot tub but otherwise all linens are provided. Perhaps it was the time of year we went but there's no real river walk or beach though the river is just a short 5 min walk from the home. There is ample parking for 3 cars and the home has a 6 person max limit. The grill works great, we had dinner with friends one night and the outdoor area was perfect. The upstairs is great for a family, a half bath, a futon and a bed, a family of 4 can stay there comfortably. The downstairs has another bedroom and the full bath with a beautiful claw foot tub. It was cold in the mornings and evenings when we went but the heat worked beautifully and during the day we opened the windows for fresh air. All around a pleasant stay.

Great place--it really worked well for us as far as the layout and how well appointed the home is. We loved being able to walk down to the river. Only reason to have less than 5 stars is that the beds, especially the master bed downstairs, needed down comforters.

This place was just a great place to spend 3-4 days. It has everything you need to have a great chill out stay. 5 minutes by car to town and the house has all the amenities for a fun stay. We stayed an extra night. All as advertised. Thanks Terry and Tisha

We had a great stay over the weekend in this cabin. The kitchen was fully stocked, it was quiet, light and bright throughout, and the backyard was fabulous to BBQ and hang out in. We will be coming again!

I was quite unimpressed with this home. By looking at the photos of the property, I was with the understanding that it was located on the river, it is not, you have to walk down the road and down a path to gain access which all other residents can use as well. The home itself is suffering from plenty of deferred maintenance. Drywall seams coming apart, loose door handles, etc... The bed was the worst I have slept on, jabbed by hard springs all night, I woke up with the worst achy back. The living room furniture and rug absolutely wreak of urine, so much so that the chairs were unusable. There is no television service, so you need to suffice with the supply of DVD's there or use a netflilx or hulu account if you have one. The Hot Tub has a greenish tint to the watter and a funky smell, having a hot tub of my own, I was quite turned off to this, but did fix it with their chemicles in the shed. Our time in Healdsburg was amazing, the house... not so much.

Our family had a great stay. Everything was set up and ready to go when we arrived. The hot tub came in handy for our group. With 6 adults we all had plenty of room and loved sitting in the back yard on the deck in the afternoon.

Gorgeous cottage surrounded by redwoods, very peaceful, tranquil setting. Cottage was equipped with everything we could possibly want and the hot tub was an added bonus.

We really enjoyed staying at the Wine Country Retreat, and definitely would stay again next time we are in the area. It was a little drive from down town, distance might be short but it is not walkable. There is a really nice market close by that we did our shopping at. The house was very clean and comfortable, it felt like being at home. Our group was two couples, the layout was perfect for the four of us plenty of space for everyone. I believe they allow up to 6, there is a futon upstairs next to one of the bedrooms, a little less privacy but definitely doable if you are good enough friends, or if you have kids! We used the hot tub every day, cooked a great meal with the grill, and played cards around the big dining room table every night, it was perfect. We look forward to our next visit!

Stayed here for a weekend with my girlfriend and another couple, and we really enjoyed the place. A charming and private little house in a beautiful area surrounded by redwoods. Unique and modern interior is comfy and supplied with everything needed for a night in, or a great place to come back to and relax after a long day in wine country. Would definitely stay here again!
