We had the pleasure of staying in this VRBO for a few days and it was a dream come true! The house was immaculately clean, with luxurious amenities and fun knick-knacks that added to the feeling of being at home. The hot tub and views of the property were amazing, and we didn't want to leave! The beds were very clean and comfortable, and the host was so helpful and fun to chat with. We had such a great time that we've already booked our stay for next year! Highly recommend this VRBO - it will exceed your expectations! If you’re looking for a sign to book your stay, this is it. I promise you will not be disappointed. It is a 1,000% a yes and 5+ stars all the way around. I almost didn’t want to write a review so that I could keep this a hidden gem to myself and my family but the host honestly deserves all of the credit in the world for providing a truly world class Vrbo vacation experience. Celebrated my mom’s 60th birthday — it was an amazing place to host friends and family. Spacious, comfy, and beautiful. The pool was great and the proximity to the river was so nice for jumping in. Just 5 mins outside town made it really convenient. Ali was also very communicative and easy to get in touch with for any needs you might have. All in all a great stay.

Gorgeous setting, fabulous interiors with surprise artistic touches everywhere. A collection of found items from around the world a feast for the eyes. Ali is a wonderful host who was available if needed. Her dog Cracker was adorable, well behaved and a delightful addition to our stay if we could coax him near. Sweet dog. We spent many hours by the well maintained pool. We had many meals around her beautiful outdoor patio table. Top notch all the way. Highly recommend.

We were a group of 1 set of grandparents, 3 aunts, 3 uncles and 6 kids ranging from 12 to 3 years old. We had loads of fun! The home was spotless and had beds for everyone with lovely linens. Bathrooms were well stocked with towels and some toiletries. The only bugs we saw were outdoors in the evening but weren't bothersome. The kitchen made it easy for each couple to take a turn fixing dinner. The kids could find their own snacks and drinks. The pool is OUTSTANDING! Grandma and Grandpa and the 3-year-old had no trouble getting in and out with the "beach entry". Lovely cabana beds, very nice cushioned lounge chairs, and large umbrellas. Plenty of pool towels, toys, and even sun lotion available. River floating too! We had a comfortable fun time and hopefully can return soon!

Our family does a reunion trip every summer. This year we had 13 adults and this beautiful home was perfect. Everyone had their own room and the kitchen was very well equipped. The property itself is lovely. There’s a big grassy yard to play yard games on and an infinity pool and hot tub. We tubed from the property to the city park. The home was immaculate and the furnishings were high quality. I’d recommend this home and our friendly host was very accommodating.

We had a multi-family, week-long gathering at Aliwood and couldn't have been happier! We had 15 people and never felt crowded. With 5 bedrooms plus the 6-bed bunk room, there was plenty of space. We cooked, ate meals, played games, and relaxed, and never felt cramped. We were a bit worried about having only one shower, but this was rarely a problem. One of the other bathrooms had a tub with a handheld shower head which came in handy. The outdoor space was incredible. We used the enormous dining table on the patio for meals. The pool is one of the nicest pools I've seen at a house. It was more like a resort pool, with plenty of comfortable lounge chairs and two curtained daybeds. The hot tub was also nice, especially when coming back from the river! Finally, the beautiful, expansive lawn provided tons of space for the kids to play wiffle ball, soccer, badminton, and other games. We found the house well-equipped with everything we needed - especially for cooking and serving lots of large meals. The outdoor bbq grill is huge, making it easy to cook for lots of people. Another highlight was the built-in automatic espresso/coffee machine! Lots of towels also makes bath time and pool time less stressful for a large group. The location of Aliwood is beautiful, with so much to do in the area. We fished, went mountain biking and hiking at Patterson Mountain Trailhead, floated the river using some of the inner tubes from the house, and visited old-west Winthrop.

My family picked this place because the review and pictures look incredible, but these photos and reviews are far from what this place actually looks and feels like. When we arrived, it was instantly evident that Ali (owner) lived and maintained this property alone. When we got there, her pitbull was not on a leash and knocked my 4 yr old over twice! There was zero sense of privacy. Ali was always around with her dog. There was dust and spiderwebs all over inside.Ali also failed to tell us there was mouse traps inside the property and BB gun in the closet easily accessible to our small children. Almost all of the closets in her the house was filled with her personal items. We had 11 kids under the age of 13 renting both of her spaces. This is irresponsible and not warning about some of her items like a BB gun and mouse traps is unacceptable! Her pool also had flakes of skin floating around as if someone did a pedicure in the pool. We decided to let this go and move on. However, things took a turn for the worst when everyone started to have bumps all over their body and aggressively getting itchy. Her place was infested with not only mosquitos but what we believe were bed bugs. My family was absolutely miserable and so itchy that we decided to leave at 10pm on a 4 hour drive home. The kids began to show signs of bedbug bites all over their face and body. We have not heard from Ali since we left. Do yourself and your family a favor and AVOID!

This was the perfect place to gather with friends and family for a long weekend!!!

The home’s common area (kitchen/dining/living) is beautiful and very comfortable. It’s ideal for multiple people and has updated appliances. We celebrated my wife’s 50th birthday and could t have been happier with our choice of properties! We also rented “Aliwood” (same over) which made it super easy to walk back and forth and keeping our group together. We loved our stay!!!

Wonderful house! Loved the hot tub and the heated floors in the bathroom. The bunk room was adorable, the toddler we had with us was *obsessed*. Great location, cool house and accommodating host. Would stay again!!

The property was well appointed, the amenities worked well allowing us to cook for two families without any problems, and the layout and open spaces were fantastic. Everyone had a great time.

We had a group of adults and young kids looking for a place we could post up and enjoy spending time together with plenty to do. Aliwood definitely fit the bill. The kids loved all the toys, the trampoline, and the play structure. And we all loved the river and the pool and hot tub. We basically spent all morning and afternoon swimming and playing. The kitchen was perfect for cooking meals for the whole crew. And we spent amazing nights out under the stars catching some epic shooting stars during the Persiod meteor shower. We all talked about coming back again!

What a great time we had at Aliwood. Beautiful property with so much to do! We really enjoyed spending time in the pool and hot tub and down at the river. Loved floating too! Will definitely be back. Thanks Ali! :)

This place was perfect! Exactly as pictured and exactly as good as I imagined it would be when I first came across this property a year before we booked it. I loved the look of everything and could never get it out of my head, so finally, a year later, convinced my husband and we brought our kids over and had the best week of our lives!!! This place has everything we've looked for in other destinations but more - sun, pool, beautiful surroundings, sublime sunsets, spacious house that is beautifully designed, well appointed, and has everything you could ever need. We especially loved the layout with the kids having one 'wing' while the grownups had the other. We invited close friend for the first weekend and it worked out perfectly, plenty of room for everyone. Ali, thank you for being the perfect host and our new best/coolest friend. We would be back every month if we could. We will definitely be back next summer though!

My family and I had such a wonderful time at this property. The house was clean, cozy, and beautiful. My boys would wake up in the morning and jump in the pool rain or shine. We enjoyed nights by the fire inside and outside the house. We ate lunch on the deck and enjoyed cooking in the kitchen. The landscape was beautiful and very calming. All the beds were comfortable and we all slept very well. Ali was kind and very helpful. She made sure we were comfortable and provided us with plenty of firewood. I hope to return to Aliwood soon. It is a wonderful place to stay :)

The place had such a great aesthetic. Lots of attention to detail. The bunk room for the kids was amazing. Lots of things for them to enjoy. Kitchen equipment is well stocked (espresso machine is awesome). The host, Ali, was available and helpful.

What a cool property, with everything that we needed for our two families with a total of 5 kids and 4 adults. The kitchen is particularly well-equipped for a vacation rental, which we appreciated and took full advantage of. We also loved the sledding hill, hot tub, games, and fireplaces. Lovely winter getaway from Seattle.

Our stay at Ali’s property exceeded all expectations starting with the extremely flexible and generous interactions we had with her prior to our arrival. Despite the clearly outlined cancellation policy Ali allowed us to move our stay back a month due to the unprecedented large fires and poor air quality that was happening during our originally booked dates. We were extremely grateful and had crystal clear air and beautiful weather during our recent stay which was important due to the outdoor nature of our activities. Thank you Ali! The property itself is unique from the layout to the decor and we found ourselves fascinated for days just absorbing the interesting touches that can be found in every nook and cranny. There was obviously plenty of care towards cleaning and the unique hot tub and large outdoor pool was pristine! We are already planning our return trip for next year!

This was our first time at Aliwood and we can’t wait to continue to come back to this beautiful place. Ali was such an amazing host and was always available if we needed anything. My husband and I got married down by the river with a small ceremony and it was just absolutely beautiful! We stayed for a week and did not run out of things to do at the property. Jumping into the river, swimming in the pool, watching the stars from the giant hot tub, having dinners at the beautiful outdoor dining table, and making delicious food in the deluxe kitchen! We loved the espresso machine. The beds were extremely comfortable, including the bunk beds! My siblings and cousins loved the bunk beds and they are adults! The kitchen was well stocked and had all of the staples. The views from around the property are just gorgeous—we had many beautiful sunsets! Everything in the home is of high quality and with a lot of attention to detail. It was truly a place for us to go and completely RELAX! Ali also just got some sheep and my family had a lot of fun feeding them and running around with them on the property, for some that was the highlight of the trip. We are still over the moon with our experience and really had the best time at aliwood!!! Thank you Ali!

Our trip to Aliwood was magical!! This was our annual summer trip with our adult children and grandchildren and also our wedding. We were very fortunate to have missed the bad air quality with the local fires and experienced clear skies and perfect temperatures. The house is spectacular! Very clean, and absolutely beautiful. The beds were very comfortable with lovely linens. The house was air conditioned and fans helped keep it at a perfect temperature. The kitchen and barbecue areas provided everything we needed to prepare our meals and we spent many hours at the outside table, which easily seats 14. The setting is stunning!! The grounds were beautiful and the views incredible. My grandchildren spent at least 12 hours a day either in the pool or down at the river jumping off logs into the swimming hole. We really enjoyed the sound system, allowing us to crank up the music while in the pool area. And we enjoyed late night sits in the hot tub watching the meteor showers - incredible! Ali was a gracious and responsive host and was very accommodating in helping us choose the perfect spot by the river for our wedding ceremony. Everyone agreed that Aliwood is a favorite spot for our annual event and we certainly hope to return!

We had a party of 6, with grandparents and 2 kids 6 and under, and this house had something for everyone. The location is awesome, surrounded by the Methow hills and easy distance to everything you’d need at Winthrop and Twisp. The property is beautiful and peaceful. The kids would have stayed in the pool all day, and the adults liked cooling off in it. Ali told us she just put a pool heater in. Ali just got sheep and goats for her orchard, and the kids had a blast petting them. The house had everything we needed and had a lot of character. We didn’t spend too much time in the house because we were either exploring the area or in the pool, but it was very comfortable. Twisp was over 90 degrees every day, but some AC was recently installed and the main part of the house stayed cool. The wing with two bedrooms would get a little warm with the doors closed. One of our daughters is autistic and very particular about temperature, so we brought a floor fan for her and she was comfortable. Ali was a very responsive host, answering questions before we arrived and being helpful once we got there. She was staying in the studio when we were there, but wasn’t intrusive at all. We’d absolutely stay here again.

It's hard to believe, but Aliwood is even better that it seems. The kitchen is a cook's dream, taking "well-stocked" to a new high. The beds are to die for (or at least sleep through breakfast for.) Sound is wired through the whole house. The bunk rooms are incredible. Ali has provided enough to do that you never need to leave the property- board games, lawn games, reading nooks and books, piano, pool, huge hot-tub, and 12 person tables and a kitchen that will make you want to cook nonstop. She also graciously answered every question we have and attended to everything we needed immediately and drove us to her adjacent property where we spent a beautiful afternoon in nature. Nearby Twisp somehow has everything you could need to buy on its one street. Even during early spring after snow melt when there weren't as many outdoor adventures to be had, we had no trouble entertaining ourselves for a full week and would have gladly stayed longer. Thanks for a great stay!

We had a wonderful time staying here! Highlights are the gorgeous location, hot tub (super big and perfect temp) and wonderful living space with open floor plan. This was the perfect location for a family gathering. We loved the kitchen, cooking was a breeze. The property is shared but we never ran into anyone. The owner lives in an attached apartment. The low lights were that there is only one shower, and one tub with a shower head but not for standing use. This was tricky for our large party. A few of my family members complained that they could smell “intense cigarette smoke” in the hallway connecting the bunk bed room to the bathroom and tv room with queen bed. The smell was strong in that hallway but did not bother us enough to ask the owner, we are not very sensitive to smells but if you are I would suggest speaking to the owner first. The only other issue we ran in to was that the garbage bin is quite small. Also, be prepared for all types of winter roads and ice. The driveway was salted before we arrived but still a little slippery. Overall we had a wonderful stay and want to return in summer!

We just had a truly wonderful stay at Aliwood! The home was beautiful and had everything we would have wanted, including comfortable beds, a chefs kitchen, and really terrific outdoor space. We were able to sit outside all day by the pool and truly relax. It is in a great location right near the river. Ali was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed. We ran low on dishwashing detergent and she immediately brought some over. It is definitely someplace we would love to come to year after year. Thank you Ali!

My extended family of 10 stayed at Aliwood for 5 days to celebrate our families September birthdays. The location was easy to find and the house was already open with champagne waiting. The house had everything we needed. The kids spent most days in the amazing pool and hot tub. We went fishing, played baseball and enjoyed relaxing in the beautiful outdoors. The house is beautiful and the host is very helpful. Thanks for the perfect spot to create great family memories!

We came out from Seattle to relax and that’s exactly what Ali offers at her house! Super beautiful property with an orchard and stunning river waterfront with incredible wildlife. The home is stunning and offers every comfort you could think of having. The kids swam in the pool daily and the hot tub is enormous!! Would absolutely stay again.
