The cottage was just as stated in Vrbo. It was close to the ocean, a short walk to the beach. The beach was very nice and uncrowded. We enjoyed sitting on the top deck to relax in the evenings.

House needs some updating. Not enough furniture for a family to relax comfortably. We had to bring sheets and towels. Description of items in the house needs to be updated due to not being accurate. Rodanthe was nice and quiet.

This was a wonderful beach house! Our first impression after walking in was “wow it’s a lot bigger/ more open than the pictures make it look” so that was a pleasant surprise. Plenty of space for the 4 adults and 3 children that was with us. The property owner was very nice and quick to respond to messages. Beach access was very close and house was in a great location to the local restaurants. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others!

This place is centrally located within the city of Rodanthe. We've stayed at numerous properties through VRBO, and this was the dirtiest place we've stayed at. Mold is a huge problem. It's in the AC in master bedroom and bathrooms. We were able to open up the windows to let fresh air in. In general, this place is very outdated and could use a good overall cleaning. I wore white socks, which turned black on the bottom because the floors were filthy. There's no cable service, but you can connect your smart phone to the TV. Make sure to look at prices in the area. Our family rented at huge 10 bedroom with a pool, bar, cinema room for only twice the price as this home.

This cottage is located approx 100 yds from the beach. From the top deck you can see the ocean. Quiet neighborhood. Very enjoyable. Property owner very easy to communicate with.

Great beach house to enjoy the outer banks. Very pet friendly home with only a short direct walk to the beach. House is very nice with loads of room to relax and enjoy sitting on the deck. Take a pleasant five minute walk down a quiet driveway and you are on the beach. Our host was wonderful. A real gem of a place.

This place was perfect for us. Two adults and two dogs. The weather was fantastic (78°) and the house and accommodations were really nice and clean. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely stay! The house was the perfect amount of space for our family with a nice, open floor plan. The walk to the beach was only a few minutes which was a huge bonus for us!

We loved this beach house, just the right size for our family of 6. Short walk to the beach, bike rentals meant we got there super fast. Beach was beautiful and we felt like we had the whole beach to ourselves. Will definitely stay here again!

This was a cozy cottage and the beach was a 3-5 min walk maybe less if you don’t have a toddler and 2 dogs. The road to get to the house is access for the other houses as well as the beach access which is a steep dune with no steps just in case you are older. The beds were comfortable and owner had plenty of pillows and blankets. The kitchen had everything you need and I was surprised that prior guests left some necessities I.e. sandwich bags, hand soap, toilet and paper towels. The cottage is close to local eateries and shops of hatteras. It was about 10-30 min drive depending if you went north or south. The only disappointment was the owner told us ahead of time that the prior guest broke the dryer. But we packed plenty of extra clothes and plus the below the house is a clothesline with extra pins. Below the house was a great spot to hang as well when it was hot. She also had some oscillating fans around the cottage. Owner is great at communication via VRBO chat. All in all this is a great stay in a laid back area and not as busy as Nags Head.

The house and location were just as described. The host (Grace) was very responsive to questions. The house is VERY well stocked with kitchen utensils and supplies, cleaning supplies available, etc., even more than we anticipated. Although the walk to the beach was manageable, it seemed very long when carrying heavy, rented items. Bring or buy lightweight portable chairs, umbrella, etc. to make the trek to the beach easier. Location was great in terms of the beach not being crowded and easy access to stores, restaurants, etc. Thanks for a great stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves with a girls weekend over mother's Day. The home was very clean, lovely interior, and very comfortable. The walk to the beach is easy, as it is paved most of the way. We were able to see stars and sunsets, and everything was in working order. Grace was extremely responsive and very polite. I would highly recommend this rental and certainly it is on my list to return!

Make sure you take some water shoes! Great places to eat and the community is so welcoming. The house was spacious enough for us and the breeze was amazing. Take advantage of the roof top deck for watching the sun and moon rise...but it’s worth the short walk to the beach for that too. The master bed was very comfortable with air conditioning. Kitchen was ready to use. Overall we can’t wait to rent from Grace again. Wonderful host and wonderful house. I give 5 stars.
