Overall, our family had a great week long visit to Corolla. While we were there, it was super hot, so we took advantage of the nearby beach and huge pool on a daily basis. The house was clean and we had plenty of kitchen and dining items. A few items need to be addressed: WIFI was terrible, TVs outdated, living room seating needs replacing, vacuum needed to be cleaned, centipedes in the lower level. Love the location, close to grocery store and restaurants and neighborhood location of house very private. We had to have a few things taken care of and Eileen was very quick to respond.

What a great home with a large, private pool and hot tub! Plenty of room for our family of 12 and could have had more stay with no problem. The beach access is only a 5 min walk and so worth it considering the privacy of the house and pool area surrounded by trees and nature! The grocery store, ice cream and other shops are super close for convenience. The property manager, Eileen was so nice and texted us reminders and tips several times about our stay. (We even mistakenly left our laptop behind and she quickly and kindly responded, found it and is shipping back to us). I highly recommend staying at Camelot!

We had fun staying in this property. It was in walking distance to the grocery store and a good spot for the beach! Would definitely return.

Our family enjoyed our stay at The Camelot! Location was a very short walk to the beach. The beach itself was pristine. We appreciated having the beach chairs and toys provided to us at the house. The grill was another great addition. The pool and hot tub got use everyday. Our family of 6 adults and one child had plenty of space throughout the house. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Quiet neighborhood that is close enough to restaurants and shops.

We absolutely loved our time at Chris' place. Her communication is impeccable. The house is well stocked and in a fantastic area.

This house has many positives. The kitchen is well supplied and orderly. The lot is very private, especially the pool area. Our toddlers really enjoyed having space to poke around in the sand right by the house. The house was not perfectly clean when we arrived, but that may be a temporary COVID related phenomenon, because it was clear everywhere we went that staffing is a problem. The screen porch is buggy and there's lots of noise from the road, but overall I would recommend this house and would consider staying there again. The owner and local contact were both extremely helpful. It was also great having at tennis court in the neighborhood. Final plus was the convenience to Harris-Tetter (less than 5 minute drive away) and other food stores. For some, the presence of a life guard right at the beach entrance will also be important.

Great location, easy 6 minute walk to the beach and about a half mile to the grocery store as well as other great restaurants. The size of the pool was great and kept the kids entertained. We had a wonderful time at Ocean Sands and will definitely be visiting again!

Our family vacationed in the outer banks for the first time in August. This property was perfect for our large family with room to spread out and enjoy many different activities. The proximity to the beach made it easy to walk back and forth for meals and an occasional dip in the pool. Open markets with local seafood and grocery stores were conveniently located nearby. All in all a perfect vacation!

The house was as described on the website. Looked even better in person than in the pictures. We would definitely stay here again!

This was our first vacation since the pandemic. It was such an awesome time. I agree with one of the other guests —the house is spacious but cozy. It’s a short jaunt to the beach—no crowds and so gorgeous. We saw dolphins near the shore on our first day. What an awesome welcome! There is a washer and dryer which came in very handy. The top floor (3rd level) contains the kitchen, dining, and a bedroom with a lovely view. Each floor had a full bath—very convenient. The other people in the community were so friendly and we ate some delicious food —so many good restaurants (unique to area) close to the house. I can’t wait to return. Thank you Chris for being such a wonderful host!

Property was in good shape and exactly as described. A very short walk to the beach and my family had a great stay. Would stay here again.

Really a great house, very spacious, just 5 minutes from the beach! Beautiful view, nice pool and hot tub. Everything in Camelot is as advertised and a little bit more.Chris is also a great host, super responsive and really kind and generous with our family.When we come back to OBX, we will come back to Camelot, and you should too!

Very good.

The good: The house overall is nice. Our family enjoyed the beach which isn't too far from the house. It is super close to Harris Teeter, we walked there a few times. The home is very private, which is a definite plus. It had plenty of room for our group of 10 adults. The kitchen has just about anything you would want to prepare and serve meals. The outdoor shower was a big hit. There was a large driveway to accommodate all four of our cards. Close to the wild horse tours, we took one with Back Country Safari Tours and it was amazing since we went at 6pm and got to see the sun set too. The not so good: We were very disappointed with the "ocean view" as the one photo in this listing is not accurate. There is not a view of the ocean from the home. The home is tired and needs maintenance. There were broken chairs, not only broken beach chairs but also broken deck chairs, a screen is missing from the screen deck which made it useless in the evenings. The picnic table on the top deck was warping and the chair cushions are fraying. And if you are traveling in more than one car, be sure every car has toilet paper. I did not expect them to supply toilet paper for the entire week. However, I have never rented a home in 30 years where there was absolutely no toilet paper in any bathroom. My daughter arrived to the house first and then had to leave to get some. One roll in one bathroom is what we expected for a home of this caliber. I did mention the broken beach chairs and missing screen to Chris. A gentleman came over and gave us replacement beach chairs however the screen was never repaired. Again, we did enjoy the home but felt the pictures were most likely taken when everything outside was brand new. It has worn over the year. Did it make our trip less fun, definitely not however for the weekly rental price we expected more.

Enjoyed the location, the accommodations within the house which allowed us to have a fun filled weekend. Wish we could have stayed longer!! The owner of the house was exceptionally accommodating and wonderful to work with as well!!

It was a huge house with plenty of room. It’s in a private area at the end of the road. The pool and hot tub area were favorites for our group. Can’t wait to go back

We had an absolutely amazing and FUN stay at Camelot :) We were able to start our stay a few hours earlier than check-in, which was wonderful. The house is very well maintained and the bedrooms all well-appointed. We opted for the linen/towel service and that was a breeze and well worth it. The kitchen is lovely and spacious and well stocked. Plenty of dining seating. Couches in the main level family room are SO comfy. As is the very large sectional in the lower level. The walk to the beach (and such a wonderful beach stretch!) was about 5 minutes. So easy. But perhaps our favorite and unexpected bonus was the pool and hot tub. The pool was larger than a typical OBX house private pool and also well maintained. The hot tub was perfect as well. Add in the corn hole game, and the outdoor evening activities were so fun. My only drawback was the fact that the gas tank on the outdoor grill ( a nice one) was empty upon our arrival and we wanted to grill out at least one night. We were told we would have to refill the propane ourselves when I inquired about it. I was not inclined to purchase a whole tank to grill out one night, so we were disappointed in that. But overall, we had a great vacation and great stay at Camelot. Would recommend!

The house is more updated/modern than it appears online. Pool and hot tub were in great condition. House is very nicely situated - not too far from the beach and walkable to Harris Teeters. Nothing is more than a few miles away so you never have to be in the car for too long. Our first time staying in Corolla after many stays in Duck, we’re sold!

A wonderful and beautifully decorated home with a very short walk to the beach! Lots of spacious room to relax and unwind. A great kitchen with everything you need to cook meals if you want. Pool and hot tub are excellently maintained! We will definitely be coming back- loved everything about our stay!

This is the best vacation home in the OBX! We have stayed here 3 years now and there is a reason we keep returning every year. We traveled with our 5 young kids (ages 7 and under) and 2 parents, and there was plenty of space for everyone. The location is perfect - very secluded at the end of a cul-de-sac but only a short 3-5 minute walk to the beach. The house is fully equipped with everything you will need for the week. The pool is very big compared to most of the homes in the area. It is cleaned twice a week too. There is nothing better than sitting on the upper deck, watching the sunrise with a cup of coffee, and listening to the sound of the ocean. We would highly recommend this home for your family vacation!

We had an amazing vacation at Camelot! There were 11 of us, and it couldn't have worked out better. The house is amazing. It has everything you need and it is all nice quality .We cooked a fair amount and it worked out great! There were plenty of plates , silverware, pots and pans, some nicer than I have at my house! Eileen was great to deal with, the pool and hot tub were clean and well kept. It was our first trip to the Outer Banks and we definitely will be back. Thank you!

We just got back from our week at Camelot! The name says it all! From booking to departure, the transaction was super smooth. We traveled with three children (ages 9, 7 and 4) This house had something for everyone! LOTS of space so you are not on top of one another. Toys for the beach and pool are provided and that eliminated SO many things that we had to bring with us. The house is clean, well stocked with items for great cooking, and laid out so nicely. There are SO many places to sit depending on what your looking for: Need shade---There is a deck for that. Grilling and don't want to be left out--there are seats for people to hang out with you. Want full sun-hit the pool area! Want to stay away from the bugs--go to the screened in porch! The ocean view is SO serene! There is something for everyone! The proximity to the beach is amazing. Less than a 5 minute walk! Super easy even for our 4 year old. We enjoyed getting up early and looking for shells---the best shelling experience we have ever had on a beach vacation! The lifeguards are so friendly and helpful. We visited my brother in law who was renting 5 minute away...the houses were on top of one another....Camelot offers FULL privacy!! We were able to access WI-FI in all rooms throughout the large house as well as received it in the pool area. This was helpful for streaming music from iPhones and wireless speakers. Eileen--who helps take care of the place was super sweet and VERY helpful. We had two SELF CREATED issues and she was able to help us out within minutes! Regarding the pool--Even though the pool is not heated, the full sun warms it up pretty fast. The pool is HUGE. Perfect for large families. We are hoping to come back. This was a very hard vacation to leave. EVERYBODY was happy with trying a new location (We normally vacation in Hilton Head). I can't imagine going anywhere else now! We live a very hectic life...always on the go, medical issues and every day stresses that make life "interesting"....for ONE WEEK it seemed to all go away. We ALL were relaxed and enjoyed our simple vacation. Thank you Chris for making sure that OUR vacation was stress free, perfect and memorable. We will hopefully be in touch for next year!

Stayed at Camelot for a week with my husband and kids as well as my sister, and her husband and kids. It was perfect! Plenty of space, pool and hot tub were great, and the beach is very close. We've stayed at other individual houses in OBX, but this house was great for two families! The beach is fantastic too-- very clean, soft sand, and NO seaweed!

Our family had an amazing time at Chris' home. It was everything a family and friends could want for the week. We had a newly renovated home, a private pool, close to the beach, with a great owner to boot. We've stayed in Corolla a number of times. This is the best house we've found.
