We loved staying here. The apartment is beautiful and interesting, AND immaculate. The patio is so lovely and the rooftop terrace is a special treat. The space accommodated our family —four adults and a 19 month old—quite well. The host was so personable and helpful, both before our travels and while we were there! An absolutely delightful stay!

Stayed here 5 nights with my 80-yr-old parents and we honestly couldn’t have enjoyed it more. What a well-appointed and beautiful spot! Everyone involved was wonderfully attentive and friendly. Really can’t say enough - what a gem!

This was a second visit to this hidden gem! It’s a lovely space with a charming courtyard! The location is fantastic … walking distance to some of the best beaches, stores, & shops! The owners are so friendly and welcoming! It’s truly a gem!❤️

Spot is perfect, place is stocked with everything you need, location is amazing, host is awesome and easy to reach. My family with 4 kids stayed and we all had an amazing time! Would 100 percent stay here again!!!!!! <3

Great location and lively property. The bedding was amazing. I live in the back country where there is no traffic, therefore extremely quiet. This location was close in proximity to so much but unfortunately the bedrooms are located on the street side so if your not used to quiet (like my brother) but you may want earplugs if your anything like me…again the bedding was worth it! Great place, would highly recommend.

Pictures don't do justice. This is real Laguna. Artwork, decor, and attention to detail is impeccable. Please add a Brita water container is the one thing to add. Recommended to all my local friends.

This is a great property -- excellent location, beautiful patio area, well stocked kitchen, parking, communicative hosts. The only disappointment was the pullout couch in the den space, which the listing states as "new, high quality." This bed was so uncomfortable to each of the teen boys I was traveling with (one 5'0", 100 lbs; the other 5'5", 130) that they opted to share the king size bed instead of each having his own bedroom. The den space is also right off the kitchen with a curtain divider, not a door. For our little group of 3, this didn't matter at all; we still had a great stay and would return. But a group of six adults might feel differently. I suggest the owners invest in a newer, more comfortable pullout or adjust the listing so this is more clear this space is suitable to smaller kids but not adults.

This place was beautiful penthouse. Backyard was a cute little amazing quaint getaway and the roof top balcony has an amazing view!

We had a wonderful stay at Bill and Paul’s place. Perfect location and perfect space. The apartment had every amenity imaginable and the outdoor space was breathtaking. Fully stocked kitchen and outdoor grill made cooking delightful. Easy ride to pearsons port for fish was a real plus. Thanks Bill and Paul. Your home made our stay perfect!

This apartment worked perfectly for our trip to Laguna! It’s a perfect size for two couples and we easily fit a pack and play for our son in our room. The kitchen is a great size and it has a gorgeous back patio and roof deck that has views of the ocean! It’s a quick drive to the main downtown of Laguna!

First, communication with Bill was excellent. We are told to check in at the Black Iris below the apartment and that was perfect. The apartment was spacious and beautifully decorated. It had two large master bedrooms and two full bathrooms. There was a full size living room and dining area. Also, a full size kitchen. We went our for dinner each night of our stay but for those who want to make dinner at there apartment there is everything you need. All appliances and a large refrigerator. There is a counter you can sit at. There is also a sitting room that is very comfortable. There are multiple televisions throughout and even one set up while you're in the kitchen. There is very comfortable furniture and the beds are great. I slept so well. In addition, there is a large out side patio with a beautiful garden and a stairway leading to a rooftop sitting area with a table and chairs and a wonderful view of the ocean. The location is outstanding. There is a parking spot within a very short distance to the apartment. I would definitely stay at this apartment on future trips to this area. Everything went smoothly and we definitely enjoyed our time in Laguna Beach thanks in large part to this apartment. Thanks again to Bill and Paul.

We truly enjoyed our stay from the moment we arrived to the moment we didn’t want to leave. It’s a beautiful and very private place to stay and so close to one very phenomenal restaurant. The Drake. Wow and yum! Bill was an absolute pleasure to work with and being greeted by Allie was wonderful as well. Everyone in the Black Iris was soooooo very kind. I would recommend this beautiful rental to anyone who’s considering it. I have a few highlights while on our 3 night getaway, however, the best one was getting engaged. 💍♥️🥂 We will return again……and again.

Ideal rental for a romantic getaway. The location, the views, the outdoor spaces, the beautiful interior finishes and art, the availability of towels and beach stuff, the extra pillows...the list goes on. We were so comfortable in this long weekend rental. The beds and bedding are comfortable. I can't think of anything to improve. This is the perfect place to stay in Laguna. The owner was very kind and helpful to us. Above and beyond with the accommodations extended to us.

Given the pricing, this property is a great value for this location. Since the property is directly on South Coast Hwy, there can be traffic noise. The rooftop deck & sitting area is awesome and could be even better if the wifi worked up there!

This was our second time staying at this lovely penthouse. The home is wonderfully located close to everything we needed. Came for the Pageant of the Masters, a quick rideshare trip away. The views of the sunset from the upper deck are breathtaking. We thoroughly enjoyed the fabulously oversized outdoor space, complete with grill, seating, and umbrellas in a lush tropical garden. The well-appointed kitchen was perfect for two couples to create great meals enjoyed outside. The flower and gift shop on the first floor is filled with gifts and fresh flowers - which are also in the apartment upon arrival. I'm sure we will stay here again, it's the perfect spot to enjoy all Laguna has to offer.

My husband and I stayed at the hidden gem for a few days and just loved it. It's in a great location in Laguna. Central to everything. Very cool art and decor. Comfortable beds. Lovely outdoor patio and rooftop deck. Just bring your wine and snacks and go enjoy this lovely place.

When we were escorted to the "Gem" we saw the beautifully designed living room. A fresh bouquet of roses were a surprise in the living room, along with roses in both bathrooms. The outdoor lanai was beautiful, serene, spacious - especially on the 2nd floor! A surprise was the rooftop deck that looks out on the ocean! The bedrooms were beautiful and comfortable. The kitchen matched the beautify of the design. A really beautiful place to stay in Laguna, especially if you want to be close to all of the downtown action.

The unit is just over the owners flower shop right on Pacific Coast Highway so the traffic noise is very loud day and night. They bathrooms were very small but overall a very nice place.

We enjoyed our stay. We had to use ear plugs to reduce the road noise while we were asleep. Otherwise everything worked well.

The Hidden Gem in Laguna Beach is an absolute delight. Our stay was perfect, comfortable and extraordinarily well-appointed. The garden is a wonderful space, and truly makes the property unique. Viewing sunsets from the rooftop deck was spectacular. Paul and Bill were lovely, communicative and extraordinarily accommodating. We will definitely be returning.

Lovely property. We shared with two couples, we had plenty of space, except the bathroom was very small. We loved the outside courtyard in the home, which is where we spent most of our time. The location is near restaurants and beach - the trolley is a great way to get around. Street noise is obnoxious, but the outside property makes you forget about it. Manager was very friendly.

Six women, 2 bathrooms with showers, good kitchen, living-dining area, comfy beds, and a wonderful outdoor patio and rooftop deck with ocean view...perfect! Great communication with owner/manager. Location on PCH right near town with private parking spot off-street. We had an amazing stay. Thank you!

The view and location was outstanding. Bring earplugs as the highway is loud. The internet connection could have been stronger. All-in-all, the garden and third floor view was serene and worthwhile.
