Lovely house and views. The dock was a special treat.

As a longtime visitor of LA with a lot of family history & traditions, it is super important for us to have a "home away from home" while at the Lake. This home is perfect. We are repeat visitors and plan to make it an annual (at least!) tradition. Owners are lovely and always make sure our stay is comfortable in every way. We love the home and the Smith family!

We couldn’t be happier with this booking. Home is absolutely beautiful and well maintained. Our children loved being in the forest so much. Check in process was smooth as detailed instructions were provided. We’ve already told our friends about this home and hope to go back soon. Absolute hidden gem

Great location, very comfortable home, clean and everything you need for a family getaway.

This house worked very well for our group--our family of four and my friend and his son. It just so happened that my friend's spouse was not available for the trip, so the bed situation worked out for us. (I think this would be a lot more rentable if it had two rooms with queen bed or larger). The living room and kitchen are on street level with the garage. The bedrooms and something of a family room in between them are downstairs. The master is large with a king bed and large en suite bathroom. One notable quirk is that the shower has a large, _clear_ (not frosted) window in it. I suppose people figure there aren't people directly outside, but a telescope across the lake could easily see in, especially at night. We fixed this by temporarily taping up aluminum foil. One bedroom with a bunk and trundle was perfect for our kids and our friend's child to share and have fun sleepover-style. The kitchen is nice with a large island, gas stove, dishwasher, and modern refrigerator with ice and filtered water. The garbage disposal broke while we were there, but that was just a minor inconvenience. Kitchen pots and pans are what we've come to expect at rentals. They exist, but are quite worn, but serve their purpose. Although we thought we'd enjoy the foosball table, air hockey, and ping pong in the garage, we ended up not bothering because of the cold. Also, there is a boat taking up half of the garage, so there isn't space to open the ping ping table. I tested the air hockey, and it's worn and the pucks don't slide easily. But we that didn't take away from our experience and we enjoyed our stay. The location is on a narrow street, which many of the houses in the area are. I was very thankful that it didn't recently snow and there wasn't ice on the road, as it would have been pretty scary to get to the house in those conditions. (We have an AWD SUV, but I live in LA and I'm not accustomed to driving in snow.) Also, Laurie was fairly responsive to chats on Vrbo and I appreciated her support before and during our stay! She provided her phone number as well, but I never had anything that urgent. Overall, we would stay there again with this group!

We enjoyed our stay over the weekend. we will look nto booking it again it the spring or fall. Property was as described and probably the nicest we’ve stayed at in the area.

We had a wonderful time at the cabin. Laurie was amazing and the house was really lovely.

Great location, well furnished, beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. With two gas fireplaces the home was cozy all the time. We enjoyed it thoroughly!

The property was beautiful, clean, and spacious. We were looking for a quiet weekend away from LA and this house was perfect. Location was walking distance to Lake Arrowhead Village which was convenient to get groceries and shopping. Would definitely go back!

This is the 2nd time we’ve stayed here and we absolutely love it. Great host/hostess and it was a pleasant surprise to arrive and receive a lovely welcome gift. The house is so clean and cozy. Great amenities and beautiful lake views. Heat and AC work great, internet and TVs are great, kitchen is stocked with all the tools you need, gas and wood fireplaces. And the best part is that you can just walk down the little hill to the docks and town!

Went during heat of summer . I sent a message before I booked to make sure property had A/C . Description says it does and also messaged me stating it did. The upstairs (kitchen , dining, living room ) did not have A/C . It was broken . Also , the cleaning fee was 300$ which is extreme on my opinion , then the owner sends rules stating if you use more than 4 towels to “wash “ them and you bill be charged 5$ per towel . ?? Really ? Third , NOT INTIL AFTER YOU BOOK , they send you an email stating that you cannot use the dock /lake because of a lawsuit . That info should be listed before you book . And lastly , the owner states the wi—fi is shotty —in in fact , does not work . I paid 500$ plus per night . There are other rentals that are less expensive . The cabin was hot the entire week . We could not even sit or eat upstairs .

This property was more than we could dream of- location was perfect, home was beyond lovely—spacious and comfortable; and exactly what we needed and wanted. Our entire family loved it! We cannot wait to stay again!! Communication with owner was excellent and timely. We could not have been more pleased. PS: the amenities were spectacular!

The experience from reservation to the stay was absolutely wonderful. The house was gorgeous. The views are unrivaled.

What a treat to stay in this beautiful home with expansive lake views! We came up to Lake Arrowhead for a week after a heavy snow. The storm caused a few initial issues with downed cell towers and internet, but the owners were on it, kept in communication, and got things resolved quickly. The home is well designed and nicely appointed, high end furnishings and three fireplaces. We travel extensively and have opportunity to stay in high end properties, this will be one we anticipate visiting again. Truly a (very nice) home away from home!

This home is beautiful and the views are amazing. Home was spotless, super clean. It is walking distance to the village.

The pictures don’t do this property justice! There are stunning lake and tree views from almost every room in the house, including the master bath tub which was very relaxing! The house has highend finishes and is both luxurious and homey all at the same time. My husband, 2 year old and I had a wonderful time staying here. The house has the living, kitchen, dinning room and garage on the main level and bedrooms and cozy family room on the lower level. There are 3 fireplaces which add to the ambiance and lots of deck space on both levels. Everything about renting this property was smooth and easy. I highly recommend this house! If you have a young child, I recommend bringing a little kid fence/gate for the stairs like we did. There was only one negative - the neighborhood on the front of the house is very quiet and peaceful, but the back of the house where the decks are, sits up high above one of the main roads through town, so, on certain days, there was a lot of road noise. When it was quiet, it was quiet, but when it was noisy, it was hard to sleep. Other than that, amazing rental!

We were looking for a SPECIAL place -perfect location, views, balcony with fireplace to snuggle by the fire at night, packed kitchen for specia meals and mimosa bounces + a game room and cozy too- all with luxury & class to celebrate my kids 25 and 28 birthday. Laurie & McKay’s place was beyond perfect and made our time so special. We can’t thank them enough for offering such an amazing home to others. HIGHLY recommend!!!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this upscale mountain home. The location is ideal as it is a short walk to the Village. Beautiful lake view. Super clean and spacious. Our one and ONLY issue was the lack of AC upstairs which is where the gorgeous kitchen is and beautiful den. It was 86-88 degrees in Lake Arrowhead when we visited, but inside the house (upstairs only), was 92-94 degrees and we couldn't be upstairs because it was so hot; we opened windows, doors and everything to get a cross breeze, fans will help if you provide them. The downstairs, however, is fully air conditioned and has a great den and deck and is where all the bedrooms are located which is key for the AC. We are from San Diego and we will always consider this rental first when we come up, it's beautiful, however, we won't book in summer unless AC is available upstairs, but definitely will be booking during the winter months. One other thing on directions......follow EXACTLY the host's written directions. It's not that hard to find as long as you follow her directions. It might seem weird to go through the Saddleback Restaurant and Inn/7-11 parking lot to get there but as long as you do that it's super easy. The house is on the right and very few of the houses before have any addresses but this house prominently displays the address above the garage door and this house sits apart as far as curb appeal than any other, with a very roomy pull in parking area and beautiful lower cobblestone accents on the house. See you in the Winter!

Just a fantastic place and is exactly as the pictures show (not old photos that the place has aged when you get there). Just my wife and I on this trip but families would love it too as it has great games in the garage. Very clean. Absolutely loved it!

This was a great house for our family reunion. It was as advertised with beautiful views and the right space for everyone to have quiet time and family time without getting in the way of each other. We so enjoyed the ping pong table and the other games provided.We did need to call the owner about a problem we encountered and she responded in a timely manner and resolved the issue. She was open to a few suggestions we had to make the house even better than we found it.Overall we were very happy with the property and would recommend it for others wanting a quality stay at Lake Arrowhead.

We had an amazing stay at Laurie’s lake house. The property was clean and had everything we needed. They views from the lower and upper deck are incredible! It’s in walking distance to the village. My kids are 8 and 14 and really enjoyed playing air hokey and ping pong. We also took the kids to Lake Gregory in Crestline for the day. They loved the lake and water slides! We will definitely be back! Thank you Laurie!
