Our family had a wonderful time staying at the beautiful Bodega Bay house! It was all we could have asked for and more! The views from the house were fabulous! Thank you Jan for being so accommodating!

We booked this property to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday. The home and location were amazing. Jan was a wonderful host and great at responding to our questions. The home was clean, the kitchen was awesome, the bedrooms were comfortable, and the play room in the basement was fabulous. The view of the bay was beyond words and we enjoyed the sunsets with local wine in hand. My wife was so happy to have a place where our closest friends could come together and celebrate. Jan's home was perfect.

We went as a family of 13. Ages ranged from 1-67. The house was perfect for us. We sat together at the big table for every meal, played games from the cupboard, enjoyed the game room with something for everyone. Great place to stay and feel the house is spread out enough for a large group.

We love Bodegas Bay. This home did not disappoint. It was perfect for adult family. Everyone was comfortable with lots of space

Fabulous accommodations for our group of 12. The bedrooms provide privacy and comfort for each couple and the gathering spots provided ample space for everyone. Despite the rainy weather we still took advantage of hiking and visiting local areas. Since the house is so large we stayed inside quite a bit and played games while we cooked and enjoyed each others company. Wonderful home and very accommodating host!!!

Our group of 10 had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful house! The overall layout, number of bedrooms/bathrrooms, and fabulous kitchen was a major highlight of a truly memorable trip to Bodega Bay that we will never forget!

Things need to be repaired and or changed. The media room downstairs is not as described. You have to walk thru a bedroom to enter it. The ice maker for the refrigerator is broken and not operating. Smoke detectors are disconnected ????

We had a great time at Jan’s place and she was very good about communicating, almost too good. There was so much information that came through, it was a bit hard to comb through it to find specific items. Her property is really nice and very clean. The highlight for us was the bathrooms. They were all very nice and looked brand new. We did not use the hot tub or the bbq because we were afraid to do something wrong because of all the rules associated with it. She had communicated that the media room TV was broken a day before we arrived, so we were a little disappointed with that, but all in all, we had a great time at her property.

As a family we have stayed at four different homes in Bodega Harbor. This home accommodated all of our needs with ample size and comfort. The kitchen was very well stocked for cooking and feeding twelve adults. The view of the ocean and sunsets were wonderful from the patio area. We would stay at this home again.

My sister and I and our 3 female cousins have been staying together every other year at a Home Away or VRBO rental since 2000. In all those years we have come across only 2 houses where we didn't get what we expected. (We range in age from 73 - 77.) This house has really dirty windows, Spider webs and built up cobwebs all over the outside. On the inside the kitchen was a shocker. It looked clean until we went to use something. We had to hand wash everything we took out of any drawer or cupboard, before we could use it. Supplied one partial roll of paper towels, no napkins, or cleaning products to take care of things that don't go into the dishwasher. If you're going to cook, you need to bring your own spices, oil, etc. No instructions on how to use the oven. Just installation instructions and repair instructions. 3 of the mattress remotes didn't work. The media room was out of commission, spa had a leak and 3 outside doors downstairs didn't work. One didn't even lock! No good cooking utensils to use with pots and pans except for a couple of plastic things with burt/ melted food and plastic. Seating in living room is ruined. Can't seat 5 comfortably to watch movies on the small TV upstairs. All the chairs and stools are made of wood. With no pads they can become uncomfortable after a bit. We enjoyed being with one another, but were really disappointed in the house for what we paid and what was broken.

Beautiful home with views hard to beat (pictures never due them justice). Plenty of room for everyone to sleep in comfort with 6 king beds. We love to cook when on vacation and the kitchen was great to work in. Kids loved the game room and all the options. We will be coming back. Thank you Jan

This is a beautiful large home in Bodega Bay which is every bit as lovely as the pictures look. The home is very well stocked in every aspect, from kitchen ware to games and movies. Perfect for a family meeting place! Jan is a very attentive hostess and responds immediately to answer questions. Would highly recommend.

We reserved this house for a family get together and birthday celebration. The house was wonderful. The views were fantastic. The neighborhood was quiet and beautiful. The host, Jan, was always responsive and provided a wealth of information on the area and its activities. Everything was as advertised. We had a great time and would absolutely stay again.

We were 3 families (11 ppl in total) including several toddlers and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The listing description is very accurate, and the house looks better than the pictures in the listing. The owner is very meticulous about communicating everything, e.g. describing the listing, sharing recommendations, providing instructions for how to use the home. As others have commented, there are many rules about how to, and not to, use virtually all aspects of the home. At times it felt a bit overwhelming, but we understood that they're simply trying to mitigate misuse and damages. Overall a great place for large groups who are willing to stay respectfully in a rental property.

We had a family reunion and this place was perfect for us. We would definitely choose this location again. There were 12 of us and we all had plenty of room. There was plenty for us to do at the house...hot tub, billiards, air hockey, home theater, etc. The house was very clean and the owner was very quick to respond. Great experience for the whole family.

This is a gorgeous place and a perfect vacation home. There were eleven of us, and everyone had a beautifully appointed room with bath. There are three big bedrooms on the top floor, and two are primary bedrooms with attached bathrooms. Ours, at the far end of the house (farthest from the front door) had a double shower and double sinks. The bathroom alone would make you want to stay forever! And the kitchen? You could cook an entire Thanksgiving dinner in the double oven. We all love to cook, so we appreciated the kitchen so much. Everything was provided, including games. The game room and big tv downstairs were perfect for the teenagers! To be honest, I didn't want to leave! Thank you for a beautiful place. Oh--I nearly forgot to say we saw plenty of quail and bunnies. And a jackrabbit who entertained us with his runs and rolling in the sand!

This beautiful home accommodated all 13 of us very nicely. The game room downstairs, and the hot tub were definite hits with the younger members of our crew. The spaciousness, large kitchen, huge gas grill, and ocean views from almost every window were hits with the rest of us!

We have stayed at many vacation homes in the Bodega Bay and Dillon Beach area over half a century and this one is one of the nicest, but not without small issues. I won’t reiterate the pros that other reviewers have mentioned but focus on areas that haven’t been reported before. The home is very clean and well cared for, but that could be because renters are required to follow a lot of rules. You have to be OK with that. It’s sort of like living in your in-law’s house! In the past, the property owner had problems with renters using the house for big parties and causing damage, so they understandably have become very strict. There is a 14-page rental agreement where renters can be financially liable for numerous infractions, including visitors. Be sure to read the agreement early in the process. We liked that the house was close to the shortcut to Shorttail Gulch trail, where we went fishing. The high occupancy of the house doesn’t match the parking spaces. Only 4 vehicles can fit on the driveway. It’s a tight squeeze if the vehicles are large. It would be nice to have access to the garage. Parking on the cul de sac was highly discouraged so we had to park a block away. The downstairs heating unit doesn’t work so the upstairs thermostat controls the downstairs space. We couldn’t reach a balance - the upstairs was hot and the downstairs was cold. The media room can only be reached by walking through one of the downstairs bedrooms. One of the upstairs bedrooms has a step down

Exactly as described! The house was very spacious and has a well stocked kitchen. The house is well maintained and very clean. There are quite a few rules to follow that seem a bit overwhelming, but I’m sure that’s why the house looks brand new! The owners were easy to work with and very accommodating. Great bonus that they let us check-in earlier and check-out 2 hours later. Very nice stay in this beautiful home!

This home was perfect for a silent retreat! The ample size of bedrooms, each having a King bed, a spacious kitchen, and a meeting (great room) room with expansive views of Bodega Bay. The neighborhood is quiet. Participants loved the hot tub. I was the chef and enjoyed the full kitchen. The brand-new stove/double oven was really enjoyable to cook on. I recommend this space to anyone looking for quietude and beauty.

Our group of 12 relatives loved the spaciousness , privacy and beauty of the home. It was the perfect space to catch up, cook and hot tub. We loved the walks to private beaches from the home. The kitchen was well equipped and the home was immaculate. We would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful house with a beautiful view of the ocean. Open floor plan for fun and visiting for everyone. Spacious bedrooms with comfortable beds. All in all a memorable stay.

I took my staff here for a weekend retreat. The house was the perfect place for us to relax and have fun. Lots of room and very comfortable. We had beautiful weather to get some walks in and amazing sunsets from all the windows.

Our stay at Jan’s home couldn’t have been more perfect. Everything was exactly as described. The home is spacious, yet warm. Our family fit quite comfortably in this truly beautiful abode. The views are spectacular and the kitchen is outfitted for home cooked feasts. We will definitely return. Highly recommend for your larger family vacations!

Families’ 2nd visit to this wonderful property. Jan is absolutely the premier communicator. Kept us informed of recent weather conditions (9 atmospheric storms) affecting Bodega Bay which we ultimately had perfect weather for the 4 days stay. The house was spotless. Bodega Bay view from the house priceless. As an avid VRBO member, this house was by far the cleanest and best organized for a party of 15. Will be returning for another family reunion.

The kids came in from around the country to enjoy the Christmas holiday with us in a unique way with beach hikes, golf and horseback riding. This big house was the perfect center for our adventures and reconnections.

The views are terrific and the location was great. We were a group of old friends, gathered to celebrate a 60th birthday party. We wanted conversation and cooking and hiking and all of that went really well. Jan was very friendly and all of us had a great weekend.
