We loved having morning coffee on the deck overlooking Neil Bay and watching the abundant wildlife! We saw many harbor seals, deer and bald eagles! The deck made an excellent place for viewing the 4th of July fireworks that were ignited at Roche Harbor. The house is extremely clean and well kept with everything you need. We had a fabulous vacation!

We had an amazing time on Neil Bay! The proximity to Roche Harbor, the personal dock for our boat, the layout of the home, the ease of finding everything, and the view of the bay - all made our stay incredible. We will certainly be booking again. The only hangup we had was dancing around monitoring low tide (if you are a boater). Low tide was just 1' at times, so we had to make sure we weren't coming in or leaving around that time. Crabbing just outside of Neil Bay was pretty great too!

The Davison Head property on Neil Bay was exceptionally peaceful and allowed an immediate connection with the natural surroundings - both wooded and aquatic. The birds, mammals, and sea life were all as advertised! It provided a beautiful space to connect with family throughout the day - for meals, casual conversations, and preparation for the next island adventure. Thank you for sharing your home with our family!

The house was nice, clean, with a great view. The BBQ worked great. The dock was cluttered with old crab gear, the metal apron from the bridge to the ramp was hanging loose by one bolt and dangerous, the upper dock/step hand supports we're loose, the fire pit box was falling apart and wouldn't stay on. All the wood deck furniture was loose and wobbly including the handrail leading inside, there was no coffee maker as listed, only half the toaster works, the fry pans are so old, scratched and pitted they were no longer nonstick and should be thrown away, there was no wifi as listed because it was replaced by another unit and the user name and password wasn't given. When we finally figured it out as DSL and totally worthless. Some words of caution was given about the wifi, though. Fortunately Verizon and T-Mobile service was available and we were able to use our Hotspot. These issues caused us to think about what we were getting for our over $500/night stay. Some simple maintenence to tighten the screws and bolts on the fire pit, deck furniture and dock, some newer pans, toaster and of course a coffee maker.

This is our third rental on Neil Bay and by far our favorite. The large deck was like a magnet. The five of us spent many hours out there watching the wildlife and dining. The home is spacious, with comfortable furniture and beds, quality linens, light and airy bathrooms, and a well-equipped kitchen. The location is perfect for walking, kayaking, and bike rides into Roche Harbor and surroundings. We had a wonderful time and hope to return!

Our family gave it a 5-star rating because of its convenience to Roche Harbor (walking) and the good dock. We are a boating family - fishing, crabbing or exploring were our activities. We managed to get out of Neil Bay early a.m. before low tide and return in the evening at high tide. The kitchen/living arrangements were more than adequate for the evenings that we cooked in! All in all - it was a delightful experience and we are happy with our choice.

This is a very nicely appointed property Davidson Head near Roache Harbor that provides well protected moorage for boats that draw less than 24” of water at MLLW. We have a power catamaran so it just works for us…. We’ve stayed here a few times and find Northwest Island Escapes to be very professional and helpful. We’ve stayed in several of their managed properties with excellent experiences in each one.

This home is in a great location, right near Roche Harbor, but it is so quiet and peaceful. We loved relaxing with the beautiful bay view and the house had all the comforts of home. Northwest Island Escapes was great to rent from and they were very responsive to our needs.

My family and I came to Roche Harbor over Memorial Day weekend and had an amazing stay at this home. We were looking for beautiful views and access to nature, and this property delivered. The home is tucked away in the forest like most homes in the area and there are stunning views of the bay and forest on the other side of the water. The large windows in the living room and master bedroom provide great views. The private dock was a real treat for our family. Our kids spent hours fishing, catching crabs, and exploring at low tide. My wife and I enjoyed morning coffees and afternoon cocktails sitting on the deck and taking in the fresh air and the views.
The home was comfortable and perfect for what we were looking for. It is an older home and there are some stains on the carpet in the bedrooms. It was no big deal for us. We were not able to figure out the television setup which might have been "user error", but we didn't miss the screens, it was more time to be outside or reading a book by the fire.
This home is a great value. I highly recommend this home if you are looking for a relaxing vacation close to nature.

We had a lovely stay in this comfortable home. The kids enjoyed exploring along the beach and the view from the deck was wonderful. Everything was really clean and comfortable. Would definitely consider staying again.

We had a fantastic time here! The view from the house and the deck is outstanding. The kitchen is incredibly well stocked with spices, appliances, pots and pans. The bedrooms were well laid out and super cozy. This was the perfect place to get away and enjoy the island quiet.

Great place to stay, we had an hour delay to get in and then in the morning the coffee pot had a crack in it and coffee was everywhere. All and all it is an excellent place to stay.

The location of this house was awesome! Loved the views, the dock, the easy walk to Roche Harbor. We spent a lot of time in our kayaks and inflatable boat. We caught crab in Neil Bay. The water near the dock gets pretty shallow so a larger boat would probably not work. We loved the outdoor seating and the outdoor gas fireplace. There were 5 adults and plenty of room in the house. The interior is a bit older and could use some updating, but it was clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Exactly as described. Clean and simple beach house with nice dock in protected waters. Well stocked with all sorts of things you might forget. The house is a little dark inside and we were so busy it wasn't an issue.

My fishing buddies and I stayed at the Nile Bay property during the Black Miuth Salmon season for three days in February 2020. I arrived by boat as they have a 40’ dock, and my friends drove... Great property! Well equipped. Dock bumpers need repair and shore power would be a big bonus... otherwise we all thought the property and location was excellent!

A doe and her fawn were resting next to the house when we drove up on our first day. Didn't budge an inch until we got our suitcases out of the card and started rolling toward the door. Their casual attitude told us we really on island time now! We saw deer almost daily, along with bald eagles and seals in the bay. The house was spotless when we arrived and had everything needed to make our stay relaxing and stress free. Beds and other furniture was very comfortable and the view of bay from the living area windows added to the relaxation. Most of our party of Texans had never seen tidal flows which raised/lowered the water level by 6 to 10 feet every day. Fascinating! The dock for the house always had good water, but lots of new sea life was revealed as the water came and went. In addition to other activities, while we were on the island we attended a wedding at the Roche Harbor Resort which was only minutes away. Overall, it was a great place to stay and we will check to see if it's available the next we're in the area.

Deer Everywhere!
We were greeted by a momma deer and her fawn as we drove in the driveway. They were not alarmed by our arrival and continued their siesta as we unloaded the car. House was in great shape with everything where it was supposed to be. We enjoyed watching the tide come and go, as well as the deer coming and going as we relaxed on the deck and shifted into “island time”. The seals playing in the inlet were almost as much fun to watch as the deer. We will definitely look for this property on VRBO for our next trip to the San Juan Islands!

This is an amazing rental property. The view on Neil Bay is spectacular with a full deck, grill and dock access. The kitchen is incredibly well stocked with anything you'd need to prepare just about any meal. The rooms are comfortable and cozy. We loved our stay.

The directions were perfect. The location was just as described. The house was lovely. Unforunately, the flowers were from the previous week. We threw out the dead flowers and made one bouquet. No flowers would have been better. When we went to go to bed we found one bed had been made with no top sheet. It was too late to call but when I called in the morning a sheet was delivered to the house.
