First time staying in Pawleys. Beach house suited our family dynamics. Short walk to the beach with 2 small children was nice. House could be updated with digital locks on the house so no worries of losing keys.

Don’t tell anyone how wonderful this property is- I don’t want it to book up! Perfect location, with beach access right across the street. HUGE common space and ample screen porch where you can watch the world come and go to the beach. Quiet at night, everything furnished simply
but comfortably true to the Pawleys Island vibe.

Super Awesome location on Pawleys Island with room inside home for all of us. Only problem was when it rained that we still got wet going up the only stairs outside of house. 5 brothers enjoyed their stay while in town for a family wedding.

My family and I stayed a long weekend at the Owen cottage. Everything was clean and well supplied. We loved the spaciousness of the home so we all could spend quality time together as a family. The bedrooms were roomy and clean. Everything was spotless and well prepared for our arrival. The new flooring looked fantastic. The location cannot be beat in Pawleys. The beach was easy to access and just a short walk of 5 minutes. This is a great area to visit as a family away from some of the hustle and bustle of Myrtle. Thank you to the owners for allowing us to enjoy their excellent home. Finally, a warm thank you to the people at Tidelife. They were so helpful and kind to our family to ensure our stay was pleasant. We appreciate all of you. Thank you.

I had an amazing time staying at Slowen Down in Pawleys Island! We loved how the beach access was directly across from the house! The staff at the rental company was very plesant and very helpful! The house along with the yard was very clean! We will definitely be going back in the future... Tidelife has won our business over all of the other beach rentals by far!

This home was a godsend to us. We were in town with 12 other family members for my daughters wedding. And it fit us to a tee. I baked all my daughters wedding sweets and decorated them. So much kitchen space. And anything that we didn't bring from home this house had. Perfect location. And the most comfortable beds after long days. We are already planning our next vacation and hope this place will be available.

Slowen Down is an amazing home. Spacious with a casual yet tasteful elegance, this home had everything and more that our family was looking for. It is located in a perfect spot, right across the street from beach access. From the front door to the beach was a two minute walk. The downstairs room was great for my teenage son and the outdoor shower was awesome after a long day in the surf. Suzanne from Tide Life is our favorite person in the world when it comes to finding just what suits your needs. Dont pass up an opportunity to see this gorgeous home.

The Heron Family celebrated Charlie's 50th by slowing way down and hanging at the beach. This home was nice and close to the beach and made getting in and out super easy. Management company was super helpful and supplied everything we needed. All around GREAT experience!

Location was perfect for a second row house- easy to get to the beach. Loved the screen porch with fans, rocking chairs and the hammock swing. We had many breakfasts on picnic table. Great large kitchen. The rental company was helpful and considerate. If we didn’t need a bigger house next year we would definitely rent this one again!

It was a really open, relaxing home where everyone can gather inside, front deck, back deck, beach or sleep. Nice having the outside shower, granddaughters loved that. Nice and clean and we did a lot of cooking so the kitchen was excellent.

Tide Life went out of their way to accommodate us...how??..let me list- we shipped out golf clubs to their office and they delivered them to our rental house-they arranged for beach gear rentals...again delivered to our house-they arranged for groceries to be in the house when we arrived-we had a late arrival and they keys were waiting in the late arrival box at their office.-MOST IMPORTANTLY...when we asked for a late check out so we could clean up after our final round of golf and before our flight back to Philly, they said "Sure! stay as long as you need", which in essence, allowed for an additional day/round.Slowen Down is perfect for four men to stay for golf. Four bedrooms on the main floor (wouldn't use the downstairs fifth as a bedroom...maybe storage?)..Each two bedrooms share a bathroom. Great Wifi, big porch for morning coffee overlooking the beach and huge great room to watch football after golf. Everything you need from kitchen ware to a brand new outdoor shower (HUGE!!!) is there for you to use.We ate at Chive Blossom, Frank's, Bistro 217 and Caffe Piccolo. All four a little different, but great food. (Probably liked the vibe at Chive Blossom the best, as well as the outdoor seating at Caffe. Frank's is a little too big and busy for a Slowen Down experience.)Golf at True Blue, Caledonia, Heritage and Pawley's Plantation. Great weather and great golf at all four courses.We're coming back next year to try to duplicate the wonderful experience, but this will be hard to top!!

In Town for a Family Wedding
Pawley's Island is a great spot. The home is well appointed although keep in mind that the owners apparently use the property often so they have many personal items and things around the home. While it is conveniently right across the street from the path that leads to the beach the location can be a bit noisy. Lots of cars and worker trucks esp. on Saturday. Sunday morning was much more quiet.
Finally the lower level room with two twin beds and a semi-private bath might be perfect for two teenagers but no one in our family was up for the adventure of staying down there :-)
The property rental company was great and quick to respond. We'd definitely come back to Pawley's Island!

We really enjoyed our time at Slowen down. No bells and whistles, but none are necessary in this location. Steps from the beach which make it possible to come and go as you please. Sleep 12 with the 12th person on a cot. The 5th bedroom has a separate entrance which was fine for our group but may not work for a family.

This is our 4th year renting Slowen Down for our two week family vacation. It's an awesome house in an awesome location. The only thing I would change is to have ceiling fans on the porch and an outside walled shower, "typical beach shower," under the house.
