This villa was beautiful, well stocked, extremely comfortable and felt like home. The outdoor living space was perfect with the most beautiful view. We cooked in 5 nights and had everything we could need. We love this location in Coral Bay due to ease of access to North and South beaches. The wind and current change daily so accessing the best beach for the day is no problem. Drive up is totally fine. If you haven’t driven the switchbacks before the first few times maybe be interested but overall this drive wasn’t bad. Driveway was easy! When we visit the island again this will be our place to book!

We stayed one week at Villa Carolina and found ourselves wishing for more time there! The views of Coral Bay and the surrounding islands were stunning!! The villa is well laid out for two or three couples. The landscaping is beautiful and offers great privacy. We found the kitchen to be well stocked and all but the filtered water from the fridge in good working order. We were supplied with a water pitcher with filter for drinking and cooking. The beds were very comfortable but we missed a few items in the bathroom that we wished we knew in advance. Next time we’ll take our own hair conditioner, bar soap and Kleenex. Overall, this was a wonderful experience and we appreciated the quiet beauty of the Coral Bay side of St. John !

Villa Carolina is an excellent location off the beaten path in St John. The scenery is spectacular (we saw something different every time we looked). The house itself is airy and comfortable and an excellent place to return home to when exhausted from the sun, sea, and hills. Away from the maddening crowd, but we found it was close enough to key amenities once we got the lay of the land. We would definitely stay here again (and again).

The house, breeze and view are just unbelievable. We came here for our 25th anniversary with another couple and we were all blown away by the beauty of the place. My family has been to St. John 6 other times through the years and we’ve stayed at other very nice homes, but this one is our favorite.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Carolina and look forward to returning again!! The house is spectacular, even more amazing than shown in the photos, the photos just do not do it justice. It had everything we needed and more. The landscaping is beautiful. The pool is fabulous, we spent a lot of time relaxing there when not at the beaches. I highly recommend anyone even remotely thinking about booking here to do so without hesitation. You will not be disappointed. My family and I are so glad we did and are definitely planning trips back in the future.

The villa was amazing! What a wonderful view to wake up to every morning. The manager made sure we got in and had everything we needed. I highly recommend the villa to families.

My wife and I stayed at Villa Carolina with another couple. We were all celebrating anniversaries. This villa is perfect for 2 or 3 couples. It is stocked with everything you need for your vacation. Plenty of privacy with an amazing pool deck. We shopped at Dolphin market down in Coral Bay next to Aqua Bistro, and grilled dinner on the generously sized BBQ a few nights to save on dinners. We dined on the pool deck overlooking Coral Bay, sitting in the cool breezes that you get in the evening,. Everything was amazing. The property managers were readily available for questions or issues. Communication was great. We would love to stay here next time! Thanks guys!

I can not say enough good things about this property, it was the perfect spot to stay on St John. The home is beautiful, very clean and very well designed. The pool deck is amazing both during the day and at night - perfect view of coral bay. The landscaping on the property is also very well maintained which makes the experience even better. Tons of great perks - fancy pool light at night, floaties for pool and beach, snorkel gear to use, beach chairs, umbrella, and coolers. Sean was a great host, communicated well and had all the important info laid out for you to optimize the fun for your stay. A little more pricey then other condos but worth every penny!!!

In a word: WOW. Villa Carolina is a slice of heaven on earth. If you are looking for a home on the 'quiet side' of St. John, THIS IS IT!! The views from its perch overlooking Coral Bay are breathtaking. The infinity pool was great to return home to after long days exploring St. John's beaches and trails. The kitchen has everything needed to cook family meals. The home gets AMAZING sea breezes, which were lovely to wake up to each morning. The open air showers were super-cool as well! The property manager (Sean) was great and communicated with us via text, giving us plenty of opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback (all of which was 100% positive!). Absolutely phenomenal experience! P.S. tip: Renting a Jeep is a MUST to access the property and make full use of exploring the island. Plenty of small car rental companies are available on St. John. We had a blast rooting around in our Wrangler for the week!!

Villa Carolina is everything you’d expect from the listing. The home is lovely, and the views are second to none. The gardens and landscaping are well designed and maintained. We’ve rented homes in the Coral Bay Area for many years and this property is top shelf. We look forward to returning for years to come.

Villa Carolina is a wonderful spot on the island with gorgeous views and beautiful garden. We hade a great time, just relaxing by the pool on the deck taking in the views, soaking in the sun, going on hikes and visiting beaches. It was the 5th time in Coral Bay for us and we love it there. We could see everybody was doing their best to keep things going during this pandemic. The villa had plenty of space to accommodate us and is nicely appointed. The general manager checked in with us several times during the week by texting and was very responsive. All in all - it is a great house to stay in if you want privacy, amazing views from a beautiful terrass, infinity pool, and relaxing time to read a good book or just nap.!

We absolutely loved this house! The view was phenomenal! Although our trip was delayed by a couple of days due to weather, Sean communicated well with us and we had no issues. Thank you for a fabulous stay and we hope to return!

The pictures do not do this villa justice, it's even more spectacular than the photos. The villa is perfectly located on the island to access all the beaches. On arrival it was spotless and the outdoor showers were so unique. Overall we loved our stay here and hope to return.

We (myself, husband and my older mom) stayed at Villa Carolina for a week right after Thanksgiving. We were looking forward to this trip for many months! The villa was as pictured and the location was truly stunning. We did have a few small little hitches (easily remedied) that I feel warrant honesty. I'll start with the pros: - The views are nothing short of spectacular. Truly. I am not a morning person and sunrises were 100% worth it. - The grounds are well-kept and so lush. Total privacy but a 5-10 min ride down the mountain to Coral Bay. - The villa was nicely furnished and comfortable; we had everything we needed to cook a few meals. Having beach chairs, a few floats and coolers was a welcome accommodation. - A/C in the bedrooms was really a life saver at night for cool, comfortable sleeping. We all slept very well here. The cons: - This villa is located in a lush, Caribbean paradise and there WILL be some bugs (and an occasional lizard or frog in the bathroom). In order to have the breeze come through the main area (which, to be clear, does NOT have A/C, just fans) you'll need to have the terrace doors open. We were OK with a normal expectation of a few critters, and the breeze WAS glorious. However, at the time of our stay, there was a roach issue inside the villa that was above and beyond a normal bug here or there from an open door. At first I thought it was "normal" for such a location, but as the week progressed, they were EVERYWHERE. I felt it was appropriate to let the property manager know (which I did, the second to last day) and he responded in a timely manner. We were told the property is regularly serviced by an exterminator and that the roaches were not a normal thing. So, all in all, what's one to do? We certainly didn't let it ruin the fun but it did put a damper on the stay. If you are considering booking I would make certain this issue has been resolved. - The pool lights do not work. We were told about this in advance, and apparently getting things repaired on St John in a timely manner can be challenging, but just know before you go if you enjoy night swimming. - There were some communications from the manager here and there that felt a little passive-aggressive in nature, and frankly, I didn't love that. I just chalked it up to tone getting lost in translation via text and didn't let it ruffle too many feathers, but details like this do matter and affect overall experience.

We loved our stay at Villa Carolina! Outstanding views and gorgeous property led us to rent here. The Villa has a small but deep pool and a great outdoor space. It came equipped with everything you need except satellite TV. The more sedate members of the family missed TV in the evenings. Streaming football and movies sometimes resulted in buffering. The other family members loved the proximity to some great snorkeling and hiking sites and were too tired to miss TV. Still we had a great time and seeing the other side of the island.

This was by far the best house and location on St. John we have ever rented. Sharon was very attentive and very accommodating from start to finish. The location and view is what we had hoped it would be. Perfect! This home has everything you need, you didn’t need to use the AC with the constant breeze. We loved it there. This house and location is absolutely spectacular! There were 6 adults and we had plenty of space, a great location and beautiful view. Sunrises we’re awesome. The location was great for access to the beaches and Coral Bay for restaurants and grocery stores. Can’t wait to come back again.

The property was simply perfect. Outstanding views, beautiful layout, and plenty of room. We woke up every morning by 7 because the sunrise was majestic. It was 10 minutes away from outstanding beaches. Overall just lovely.

Thank you Sharon!!! Villa Carolina was the perfect house for our family of 4. We wanted to be a bit away from it all and the location of the house could not have been better. The view from the relaxing pool deck was spectacular and watching the sunrise was an added bonus. I particularly appreciated the comfortable chairs under the shade. We cooked several meals at the house and the kitchen had everything we could have possibly needed. we enjoyed playing games at night in the comfortable living area. The breeze was natural air conditioning and even though the beaches were so hot we always came home to refreshing breezes. Coral bay is a quiet area but some great restaurants within minutes. We truly loved staying here and look forward to staying here again!

This was our second stay at Villa Carolina, and I would certainly make my future stays here. Views are spectacular, pool and deck and design of the home make it a great place for two couples or a family of 6. The kitchen is well stocked with all the appliances and cooking utensils we needed. Bedding and linens were very comfortable. I recommend a Jeep/Jeep equivalent for island driving.

Villa Carolina was the absolute perfect house for our family vacation. Six of us stayed and there was plenty of privacy for each couple and the entertainment space was very spacious. The best part of the house is the amazing views from the beautiful patio/deck whether you are relaxing in a comfy chair or cooling off in the infinity pool each spot had an amazing view of Coral Bay. The property owner and the staff that greeted us were incredibly nice and helpful. We all would highly recommend Villa Carolina and would definitely stay here again.
