We stayed at Oldfield as a family of four with 2 children, my mum who was in our support bubble and our dog. There was plenty of space and the downstairs bedroom and bathroom was ideal for mum. The master bedroom is beautiful with exposed beams and floods with light. The beds and bedding made for a comfortable nights sleep. The smart TV is a great addition as we were able to sign into to our Netflix and Amazon accounts to have movie night and found there was plenty of seating for us all to sit together comfortably. The enclosed garden is beautifully landscaped and we loved sitting out, the views over the surrounding land are amazing. It was perfect for our dog. The short trip into Warminster was straight forward with plenty of supermarkets to stock up. We booked ahead and had Sunday lunch at The Wellington Arms and ate at the Italian La Campanga and the food was great. Both felt very safe under the current restrictions. I only have a small suggestion as dogs aren’t allowed upstairs - which is understandable - perhaps a stair gate could be added as we found it difficult to keep our young pooch from going upstairs with such an open staircase. Perhaps a hoover specific for pet hair would also be good. Our dog doesn’t shed but there was dog hair from a previous visitor. We loved our stay at Oldfield and would love to return. The large property has everything needed for a comfortable stay. It is kept very clean. The owners are exceptionally helpful and do everything they can to ensure you feel welcome. It is in a quiet farm location, with lovely local walks and cycle routes. Warminster is within easy walking distance for all essential needs.

Beautiful spot. Peaceful but close to great fun at Longleat and great food at La Campagna.

We had a super holiday in the cottage which was comfortable and allowed us to meet up with family who lived nearby. The children enjoyed seeing the horses and chickens and the local area was fun to explore. Enjoyed visiting Salisbury Cathedral which was superb and Longleat which the younger family members thoroughly enjoyed.
