Wonderful cabin for skiers and non-skiers alike. Steps away from hiking trails, and a short drive to the ski slopes. Great kitchen and plenty of room for an extended family and dogs. An absolute must for a Wintergreen get-away!

If you want a quiet place close to outdoor activities- this is it! The cabin is well suited for families or friends. There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms. It is well equipped with the essentials. You really never have to go out to eat if you bring your own supplies which is especially important during these Covid times. We give this cabin a five star review.

The cabin was just as the photos depict. Lots of room for the family to spread out and a great screened porch and deck to relax on. Plenty of blankets and linens and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need for cooking. The location was top notch if you are a hiker, the Appalachian Trail entrance was literally 100 feet from the front door a long with the Old Appalachian Trail directly across the street. If you are a cyclist you can access the Blue Ridge parkway with a short walk through the woods (trail) to the road (Dripping Rock overlook area). Communication with the owners was easy and their replies were always quick. We highly recommend this cabin and will surely try and make this our annual fall trip.

We came up for a family vacation and loved every minute of it. The cabin was cozy and quaint and in a great location close to hiking trails. You are within walking distance to a few nice trails and within minutes of driving to some of the more commercialized hikes as well as wineries and breweries. Highly recommend staying at this little house.

House was fine, but dryer didn’t work, garbage disposal was broken and some dishes in the cabinets were dirty. DVD player didn’t work

House was very well stocked and has a beautiful setting. Close to wonderful trails to walk and hike. Very peaceful with nice front porch, wonderful screened in porch and back deck! Definitely will return again.

Positives: great location, plenty of room for 4 adults and 4 kids, plenty of seating in the living room for everyone, fireplace with plenty of wood supplied, downstairs area in good condition, baseboard heat worked great to keep us warm in very cold temps. Negatives: upstairs needs alot of TLC and updating. Our biggest issue was the cleanliness of the kitchen. We ended up having to wash almost all the dishes and utensils due to finding dried food and residue on them.

If you enjoy the rustic feel and atmosphere of an authentic cabin then this place is for you. We would definitely rent this property again.

We stayed there for new years and the place was great, clean, well equipped, plenty of parking, close to everything and Maureen was always available for any questions we had. Recommended 100%

'Every thing I executed.

This a classic cabin in the woods. The cabin had two big living rooms which gives ample space for a board game night after hiking. The two sections let you have two groups doing separate things while staying together. We used the grill on patio and used wood for fire. Wood was nice and dry and easy to burn. Cleaning afterwards was simple also ! Two must visit trials are right outside the cabin (no need to drive). Only problem was when I spotted a tick on my hand after waking up (need pest check). The pillow covers could have used more cleaning .

We loved our stay in this sweet rustic cabin. Loved how the cabin was decorated . Very spacious and well equipped with everything we needed. The fireplace was great for a rainy icy day. What a great getaway and this home made it very relaxing for us. Hope to go back one day.

We had a blast at the log cabin - super convenient, clean and well equipped. We stayed with 2 families with small children for a total of 10. Our lone teenager slept on a comfy couch but it worked beautifully!! We would definitely rent again, thank you!

The whole family loved the cabin! It was very comfortable and spacious. All of the supplies were plentiful and the photos helped us make our final decision to stay there. Glad it is kid & pet friendly (even though we ended up leaving the dog at home). The owner, Maureen, was extremely helpful & gracious. She was helpful with all of our questions & always returned our calls. Thank you Maureen & Brad for a great weekend!!

Perfectly situated outside the bustle of the resort area, but a short drive away. We (and our two dogs) loved staying here for a long weekend. While everyone else skied, the dogs and I went walking on the closed Skyline drive - about a 5 minute walk away. Plenty of room for everyone, comfortable furnishings, and a great feeling of being away from it all. My first time at Wintergreen, but we'll be back!

We normally have 20+ people at our home for Thanksgiving. We decided to do something different this year and just have my wife and I and our grown children at the cabin. It was great. Loved the cabin and the proximity to great hiking trails. Thanksgiving dinner with a fire in the big stone fireplace was special. The cabin had all of the comforts of home with rustic feel. Proximity to a variety of micro-brews and wineries was an added feature. We would definitely do it again.

We wanted a peaceful retreat and that's exactly what we got. We did some hiking on the Appalachian and Shamokin Falls Trails. We also enjoyed the aquatics pool and hot tub. Thanks for having us!

it was a perfect location, very peaceful and the home was perfect. the only thing it lacked is air conditioning, i wish I would have known about the ac in July or i wouldn't have stayed.

Stayed at the cabin over Memorial Day weeeknd. Fantastic location: Super close trail access, just steps away from the old Appalachian Trail and a 5 minute walk to the AT and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Also a short (but really steep) walk and hike to Shamokin Falls. The house itself was great. Nothing flashy but perfect for our group of 9. Nice deck and screened in porch. The only thing I wish we had more of was time!

Nice size living room and kitchen, nice beds, comfy sofas, thermostats regulate well, tv with roku and internet work well, fire wood supply was great, storm door was helpful for people going in/out, dog friendly, no problems!

We traveled with our two adult children and their spouses plus one little pug. The location was great on the mountain and an easy ride to Wintergreen Resort. Very comfortable with 4 bedrooms and two bathrooms. TV in the open living area/ kitchen plus a separate den with another TV should there be debate over what to watch provided plenty of entertainment. Plenty of comfortable sofa seating and room at the dining table. Kitchen was easy to work in and we cooked several meals. NO Technical problems AT ALL in regards to TV's or internet. It was not a problem for us AT ALL but one should note this is a log cabin with hard wood floors so noise does travel. Special note: the owners were super wonderful to work with throughout the entire process. The morning of departure it stared snowing early on the mountain and we left very quickly due to ice. In our haste we left a few items behind. I sent a message explaining what and where the items were and within the a few days they were on our doorstep I would definitely recommend and we look forward to the opportunity to return again for ANY season.

Nice, but since no insulation, (log cabin) noisy with children. Loved trail location. Owner was helpful and fabulous!
