Stayed last minute with my kids. We had a great time, relaxing and fishing

We were hesitant to spend so much on a place we would only be at to only sleep at. We arrived on Friday evening from Dallas, and then had an all day fishing excursion planned. After we checked in, no one wanted to leave! We felt so comfortable in the house and loved the downstairs bar and fishing spot that we cancelled our dinner reservations Saturday. I have already recommended the house to several friends.

Very welcoming and set up for people to have a good time. Great for families. We didn't use the downstairs bedroom, but used the 3rd bathroom it provided when we had 6 people trying to shower after the beach at the same time. The setup inside and out invites you to just relax and have a good time. It was a great layout for us to stay with my son, his wife and two kids, plus had plenty of room to host the rest of the family for a meal and afternoon of games when it was our turn. (This was part of an annual extended family beach week, so we were spread out between houses.) It's an easy and very short drive to the beach, and easy trip into the Strand, Seawall or other locations on the Island. My daughter-in-law was on the fence between staying canalside or beachside, but I think this home may have swayed her to canalside as the water is right there when you wake up and go to bed. It's very peaceful. Plus, we enjoyed watching boats come and go on the canal. Our grandkids had a great time experiencing crabbing for the first time in the canal.

We loved the house!!!! It really was a great stay, we stayed for 10 night and loved every one. Had small issue and the caretaker was there within an hour and resolved the issue!! We will definitely try to stay there again!! 10 stars!

Overall, great. Beach toys for the kids. Kayak was fun. Great location, towards the back of the neighborhood. Did not use the bar, but definitely would have if there were more adults. Used the community park 2 out of 4 days. Not complaining, but, if there are future upgrades shade for the upstairs deck and an outlet for a speaker. Would definitely book again!!!

The good: The location is amazing. We loved the canal and the proximity to the beach. It was nice to be able to fish and use the kayak and bicycles at the facility. We really loved all of that and the weather was nice and we enjoyed our stay. The not so good: We did not have anyone stay in the downstairs area as the cockroaches scared our teenage girls. It would have been nice to know there was a Keurig so we would have brought the cups as the traditional coffee maker did not work. We also did not bring soap or dish soap as we thought it might be there and had to go buy some. None of these are terrible things, but it would have been nice to know ahead of time. Everything was smooth and we really enjoyed it all!

Absolutely loved this house and the location! Communication with property owner was excellent. She responded within minutes when I contacted her upon check in. We were a family of 8 and are already taking about making this property a yearly event. Highly recommend!!!!

This Jamaica Beach house was the perfect getaway to celebrate my buddy getting married. We spent most of our time sitting at the outdoor bar and taking in the beautiful views. The amenities are everything you need and more. As an added value, a food mart, cantina, and pizzeria are conveniently close by. A+++

My family and I got together at this beautiful home for a weekend of relaxation. This home is better than we expected!! We planned on having a beach day but the home is right on the water so we stayed all weekend enjoying the water and the outdoor kitchen! The outdoor restroom is perfect so no one has to go upstairs. We will absolutely book again this summer!

This property is in a great location. However the cleanliness was lacking. We have stayed in many many properties and this one was by far the worst.

House was stocked with pots, pans, plates and large enough to accommodate our Family Thanksgiving. Large kitchen, spacious living room and two levels of deck space allowed comfortable seating for the holiday dinner and conversations afterwards. Good location for fishing as well throughout the week.

Down stairs bedrooms and bar had roaches everywhere I understand it's right by the water, but 🕷 webs in the bathroom, shower curtains broke, the microwave is jammed against the refrigerator, broken furniture on the patio, I really would like .I reported all these things to the owner, wasn't offered a discount. However they need too do some upgrades .poor lighting in the front. over we enjoyed our trip.

This was our 7th year at this location. We all caught fish! Great time. Very comfortable and convenient If Cindy will have us.. we’ll be back again next year!

Overall the stay was good. There aren’t enough towels so we had to go buy towels. There was a horrible smell in the house. I had to go buy air freshener to try to cover the mildew smell.

Great location being on a canal. Used the boat lift, very handy. Driveway held many vehicles & 2 boat trailers. Bar area with full fridge down stairs was great for entertaining and a huge plus having a bathroom there!!!

The downstairs setup is excellent

Lots of space to relax outside. Many toys for the water, crab traps and a fishing rod. Washer and dryer was available as well. Surround sound in the house. The only thing I would recommend is double checking behind the cleaning crew and refreshing the sheets if they've been sitting for awhile. Otherwise, I'd rent here again. Also the owner was quick to respond!

The process was easy & the home was just as we were hoping it would, great. The canal was great for swimming, fishing & all things water. Great family vacation!

We held 2 birthday parties and cook out for 15 family members and a few friends. Had plenty of room, the bar area was perfect and the fishing off the dock awesome. Can’t wait to do it all over again.

Great beach house on a really fantastic spot on the canal. We did a lot of fishing, so were very pleased with the location and the loaner kayak, and we spent a lot of great together time on the bottom deck swing, watching the Astros play on the bar tv and watching the waves go by. We accidentally locked ourselves out at one point and the owners were more than gracious and speedy in getting our (our fault entirely) mishap fixed up. The interior (upstairs only, we did not use the downstairs unit) was very comfortable and pleasant. However, I would offer a suggestion to "supply" the house a bit better. We spent quite a lot of money at the little market buying things like salt, pepper, sugar packets for coffee, bandaids, hand soap, etc. In most other Jamaica Beach rentals, we've found most of these small conveniences were provided. We left several of them for the next guest. However, outside of that, it's a wonderful house with great "outside" space and comfortable inside space.

I'm very happy that I found this property 4212 Spanish Main, In Galveston Tx, On Vrbo. My stay was wonderful. The internet was very accessible and the kitchen was well supplied with utensils and furniture throughout the home. It is a very quiet and relaxing community however the cleaning staff need to accommodate by leaving more bath/face towels. We had to go to Walmart and purchase our towels for our stay and toilet paper and the one-bedroom between the two bathrooms was uncomfortable throughout the night. The air conditioning was not blowing strongly. and another TV need to be added to one .of the bedrooms.

Booked for my husband and friends for a bachelor party fishing trip. They loved the house, perfect to pull boats right up and they loved the hammock. Will be on our list for fishing houses for the summer.
