Awesome place will come back again

We had a great time. The property was just as described, great beach location. The owner was great and let us check in early. The only complaint I could say we had was that the light leading up the main staircase was burnt out and was hard to see in the dark, but nothing major. Would definitely stay again. The deck with the black stone grill and table was an added bonus!

This is our 8th year to Gulf Shores. We love to be on West Beach past the high rises and enjoy the quieter and less crowded beaches. This duplex is the perfect location to enjoy lots of time on the beautiful beach. We enjoyed the patio tremendously and the nice charcoal grill. The inside of the condo could use some work and deep clean. I know peak season is hard to keep up with so always lots or grace. The condo is really dusty. Some of the furniture and pillows are in pretty bad repair (ripped, stained, etc). There is just a lot of random stuff shoved in closets, sometimes making them hard to stay closed. If you plan to cook; the kitchen is super tiny and definitely only room for one person. The ceiling fan in one bedroom was in disrepair so unable to use that for the duration of the trip. There was not a working vaccuum cleaner there. There were two but neither had enough suction to pick anything up. Not a huge deal for us as we always bring a robot vaccuum with us on beach trips and it didn’t take long to sweep when we needed more. We come for 2 weeks so we do have to work some on vacation. The internet was almost non-existent. We did message the owner about it twice but did not get a resolution. We finally connected to the WiFi for the duplex next door (same owner, she offered password) and it was MUCH better. We did have a plumbing issue and the owner had someone out the next morning which was exceptional. Overall we had an amazing experience. You just can’t beat two weeks at the beach. A little updating and cleaning would have made this a truly exceptional stay.

The location was perfect. Right outside of the main Gulf Shores town and right on the beach with our own private walk out. Overall the house was fine and met all our needs. Could use some updating. The rusty chairs on back porch are a hazard and on their last leg, literally. I’m sure the owner knows and is Probably just waiting for them to crap out :) the beds were incredibly comfortable! No sagging, good firm yet comfy mattresses. Could use some clean up or a small walk way from patio/carport to back porch, if you’re barefoot you get lots of painful goodies in your feet, picked some stickers out of my kids feet, but just wear sandals not a huge deal. The biggest issue was just the back deck with little kids being barefoot, lots of splinters and rust everywhere. Overall woyld stay here again, spacious enough for what we needed and convenient. The owner was super responsive and let us check in early which was a HUGE deal for us after driving overnights with small kids (8, 4 and 10 months). The beach is beautiful and clean. Wonderful family vacay with loads of memories and we got lucky and had awesome neighbors!

The location, the beach, the deck, the layout of the house, supplies, (sheets and towels) were all excellent. Herbie, our dog loved it. So, Herbie and I would actually stay there again. There aren’t that many folks that want other people’s dogs at their beach houses. When we do, I would like the following things to be better. 1. get the sand off the floor and shake out the rug ( quite a bit of sand embedded in it.) Leave a vacuum that works, so the guests can help with sand management. 2. A good spring cleaning once a year or so, including removing sand from the concrete under the house. I spent a couple hours doing that. 3. Fix the broken window (just the outer pane) facing the ocean. 4. Make sure the gas grill is in working order. We used the charcoal one. 5. Make sure the recycle bin out front isn’t full of old trash. I dumped all the old trash out and put it in the proper trash bin. It would help to let the guests know when to put the trash and recycle bins out at the road. 6. We saw three roaches, so we put out some roach bait. Again, I would stay there again; price and dog-friendly.

We enjoyed our stay. There was plenty of sleeping space for our family of 7. Right on the beach. Very convenient! Thanks for a great stay.

The location is perfect for a family with little ones being right on the beach and not having to pack up anytime someone needs to use the bathroom. The house was clean but needed a good dusting. The property manager answered all questions and check in and out was a breeze! The outside needs some TLC, but that’s to be expected due to weather and storms. We will definitely stay here again.

There is a small outside storage wheee others have left sand toys and chairs, but it is easy to bring your own as well. Kitchen has the basics for cooking, big fridge, and great washer/dryer. couldn’t get the stain vacuum to work- seemed to missing something g- but there are 2 brooms to try to keep up with the sand you will be bringing in. Owner was responsive for all questions.

Kitchen cupboards were filled with cockroach droppings! Deck divider was missing, deck under construction and we were not notified of this until 1 week from our arrival. The entire property was very run down. The owner was not responsive to problems concerning the condition and dirtiness of the house. I would not recommend this rental to anyone!

We had a great time at this house. We stayed two weeks. The first week we had four adults and four children. This was a great place for the kids to play at the beach and indoor. The second week we had four adults and two children. Plenty of room both weeks. There are a few things that need to be fixed but the owner was up front about this before we went so expectations were set. Our youngest struggled with all of the stairs - she’s 2 - and we used the baby gates provided to help with this. Overall a great vacation! Would recommended.

Beautiful view!!!!! We hosted our family for a great beach vacation. The duplex was a perfect distance from the beach for all!!! The beach itself could not have been better!!! We had plenty of room in the duplex. Some incomplete deck replacement work which took away the outside shower for sand removal which was inconvenient. March was very prompt in answering all questions before our arrival and during our stay. The decor was nice!!! Washer and dryer were nice and essential!!!! Some minor repair was needed on some of the deck furniture and an outer pane of a double pain window was badly broken, but overall, we really enjoyed our stay!!!! Thanks, March!!!!

Walk off of the back porch to the beach. Owner was extremely helpful and quick to respond to any questions we might have. Super easy check in, and overall great experience.

This was the first time for us renting a place on line. This place is soooo nice. When they say you walk out the door & you're on the beach that is not an exaggeration. Every sunrise & sunset was picture perfect. The view from the living room, master bedroom & loft is great. We will definitely consider renting this home again.
