Family trip of 3 generations. We enjoyed our stay immensely! The house is absolutely beautiful and very well appointed. Every time we went looking for (you name it), we would open a drawer or closet, and there it was. The decor was so tastefully done and very comfortable. We were very impressed with the kids' playroom that kept our 2 and 4 year olds occupied. We will definitely want to book again next time we visit San Diego!

We stayed at Carl and Vicky’s house for almost 2 months. We had friends and family visit during our stay and the house perfectly met all of our needs. Carl and Vicky were very respectful of our privacy and extremely responsive to whatever we needed. There’s probably a repeat visit to this property and its owners!

The location was awesome. The beach, the zoo, downtown San Diego, Hotel Del, Sea World… all short rides away. We started our day with coffee on the back deck and watched the sun go down in the same spot with a glass of wine. I hope we can return one day! Highly recommend

Beautiful property exactly as described in the listing. The house was very clean and stocked with everything you could need. The kitchen had high end finishes and even tho we didn’t cook while we were there, it had everything we would need. The bedding was soft & comfy and each bathroom clean with nice towels and stocked with basic toiletries. We’ve stayed in several vrbo homes and this was our favorite. It had everything to keep us comfortable and although we didn’t have little ones with us - they provided many comforts for them too - sound machines & playpens, etc. Any group, any age would enjoy this space. The views from the deck were breathtaking and that’s where we spent most of our time. The nights were chilly but there was a fire table and heat lamp to keep us warm. It’s a short walk to the beach and many restaurants but the walk does have a few blocks that were very steep. It was too challenging for our elderly mother to walk but we could drive the few blocks and found parking without much trouble. Being at the top of that hill gave us spectacular views! We would definitely recommend this property and would not hesitate to stay again.

Loved the house-had everything you could possibly need! Location was close to so much, including lots of restaurants! Carl was an amazing host who checked in and ensured we were comfortable!

If this property is available for your dates book it don't miss out.My family 6 adults and 3 children ages 4 to 11all loved this property, it offered so much more than any place else that we have stayed in. The host has provided many games for both adults and children. The beds, linen, towels and kitchen appliances are all extremely high quality and all the hot water you need for a large group. Plenty of beach toys, both adult and child beach chairs, umbrellas, mats,and cooler. The host was accessible and helpful when we requested help planning where to go. We would definitly stay here again

The house is exactly as described in the listing SeaWorld, the zoo, the beach , la Jolla cove are all pretty much 10-15mjn away The house was comfortable, quiet , fully equipped to cook complete family dinners at home Carl was responsive to all enquires and a super host Highly recommend staying here if you are visiting with kids as the proximity to all attractions makes things really easy

Close to all the normal sight-seeing locales. We told them we had a nine month old and a 4 year old. They had the baby gate, high chair and pack-n-play ready for us. One of the best VRBO units we’ve stayed in. Easy parking in the neighborhood.

This house was perfect for our family gathering. We enjoyed the view, the space, and the proximity to all the areas we visited in San Diego. We will have particularly fond memories of hosting family and cheering on our K-State Wildcats in the living room as they won two NCAA bball games.

Overall the house was amazing. everything needed for a week away from home was available and provided. Carl and Vikki were extremely responsive and helpful. the house is beautiful and 100% accurate with the posting. Hope to come back and stay again.

If you're planning a trip to san diego this is a great place to stay. The views are gorgeous. We walked to the beach and around the neighborhood. Quiet and beautiful through our entire stay. There were 8 of us and we had plenty of space.

My family of four, including two teenagers, had a marvelous stay at this gorgeous property. Each of our teens had their own bedroom AND bathroom. My wife and I enjoyed the ocean view from the master bedroom. The property appears to be newly remodeled - the fit and finish of the materials used is top notch. The kitchen is a joy to cook in especially with its high-end stainless steel appliances. The property was very clean and the host provided exceptional communication before and during our visit. I highly recommend this property.

The house was very spacious and well appointed for our family of 7 adults and one baby (17 months). We gathered there for Christmas from across the country. Perfect location. Beautiful views. Close to all the major attractions. The hosts were very gracious and provided a beautiful Christmas tree and decorations. The large kitchen had everything we needed to prepare family meals. It was a great first visit to San Diego. We’ll definitely return!

We were in San Diego during a historic heatwave, and we were SO thankful that the house had AC -- or else it would have been miserable with 2 toddlers! The house is beautiful and very well equipped for families. Anything you would need in a kitchen, they have it. Additionally, they have cups, plates, and utensils for little ones. You can tell it's a grandparent's house because of all the little comforts for toddlers/kids - like a sound machine, high chair, toys & games, pack and play, beach toys and kid chairs, baby gate on top of the stairs etc. Carl was extremely responsive to all our questions. The views from the house are AMAZING. While hosing down our things outside (after our beach trip), I didn't mind the blazing heat at all, thanks to the beautiful view that kept me company. The house is on top of a hill though, so it's not really walkable to the beach if you're going with family and have things to tow. So you'll need to find parking near beach.

This is such a wonderful house! It was very clean & comfortable. The 4 bedrooms are spread out so everyone had their own space, and the large open living room & kitchen made hanging out together easy and comfortable. The view from the patio is gorgeous-- the perfect place to have some coffee (traditional pot & Keurig provided) while the kids are still thinking about waking up. We really appreciated all the extras provided-- sound machines, baby gate for stairs, etc, which made things more convenient. There were also some board books & toys for kids, and puzzles & games & books for older guests. Our group of 7 ranged in age from 1 to 70 years & everyone enjoyed their holiday & would choose to stay here again. Thank you so much to Carl & Viki for being such wonderful hosts!

This house is perfect for a family or a few couples.

We enjoyed being close to the beach,, yet away from the traffic and hubbub of Sunset Cliffs. Lovely neighborhood with terrific sunset views. The house is comfortable and roomy and the kitchen is well stocked. We would come again.

My family comes back to San Diego every year and we've stayed in a lot of properties and this one tops the list for us. It's a beautiful location, very clean and maybe the best stocked rental we've ever stayed in. The owners were incredibly kind. We were there for three weeks and don't have any complaints. Would definitely stay here again!

Our family of 10 (ages 70 to 6yrs old) spent 7 days at this wonderful home. Carl and Vicki were the perfect host and provided everything imaginable for your stay. From the moment you pull into the driveway, you feel like you are at home. The house is situated at the top of the hill (pretty steep, but very walkable) which provides MILLION DOLLAR views of the Pacific and the Bay. You can enjoy the hustle and bustle of Ocean Beach during the day and then retreat to your peaceful oasis at night. Watching the sunset every night was one of the many highlights of the trip. The house provided a well stocked open kitchen with top notch appliances and cookware, comfortable beds and linen, and plenty of space where everyone could spread out and do their own thing. A bbq grill and fire pit are also located on the deck for those who wish to partake in their use. We will defiantly book again on our return trip to sunny San Diego! **TIP** if walking to the beach from the house, use Newport Ave, it is not as steep.

This is a recently significantly remodeled home (feels in many respects like a new build) that was super clean and had a really nice layout for a vacation home. Very open layout in the middle with three bedrooms that are separate from each other. The home has thoughtful touches like up-down blinds and too many other features to list. We did not use or even access the basement bedroom and bathroom that is in the description, but our kids did enjoy the Pac Man game and foosball table in the basement. The basement ceiling is relatively low but a perfect place for kids. Laundry is in the basement. Hosts were not on site for check-in and that was no issue at all — the remote check in went smoothly and they were very responsive by text to questions. The neighborhood was quiet and low key while we were there, which we appreciated. You can walk to fun shops and restaurants, but the immediate area is residential. The views are really great. Parking is really easy. We would definitely consider this home again for our next trip to San Diego if it is available.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. It was in the perfect location and centrally located to all the things we wanted to do while in San Diego for my daughter's graduation. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked and the views off the balcony beautiful. If ever we plan another family trip to San Diego, we'll definitely book your home again.

Let me start off by saying Carl and Vicki were great hosts and this house was amazing. We had two families that stayed in the house, each with two children and their ages ranged from 3-8. The house worked perfectly for both of our families. The kids shared two bedrooms and the adults shared the other two. The house was stocked with everything you could possibly need from kitchen utensils to containers for taking snacks to the beach and top of the line appliances (stove, refrigerator, coffee maker etc.). Every room was cleaned to perfection when we arrived and we felt like royalty staying in such a beautiful property. The view from the deck of the beach and the ocean was priceless and we spent many hours there enjoying our morning coffees and late night fires by the fire pit. That view could not be beat. The house also came with books and board games for the families to enjoy. The basement was the perfect place for the kids to hang out and play. They had a TV with all the cartoon channels the kids could want, books to read, foosball and a pac-man arcade game that was very popular among both the kids and adults. It was such a cozy area that it was hard to get the kids out of there when we were leaving the house. The garage is stocked full of beach toys, boogie boards, beach chairs and umbrellas so a trip to the beach was complete in every way. Carl and Vicki were tremendous hosts who live upstairs and are very personable and easy to contact if you have any questions about anything. We all highly recommend this house, you will not be disappointed!

Nine of us (ages 2-66) had a great time at this beautiful home in OB! Spacious, comfortable, well equipped with beautiful views of the ocean and Mission Beach, it was the perfect place to base our trip to SD. Carl and Vicki are perfect hosts. Responsive when you have a question but otherwise let you enjoy their property without intruding. Highly recommend for discerning families without any reservation!

We visited with some family and friends for my wife's 40th birthday. The home is spacious, clean, and in walking distance of many restaurants and activities. The hosts called us on check in and walked us through some basics. They also check in occasionally throughout our stay, which was very nice of them to do. The patio deck was perfect for colder nights as it has a space heater and propane firepit. We would recommend this location to anyone, but it was really perfect for families. Thanks!
