Beautifully situated. Though in a neighborhood, you feel as if you have no neighbors. Our host, Crispin, was attentive and welcoming. It was perfect and so relaxing after a day of sightseeing to come back and prepare a meal or just lounge

Immaculate and absolutely neat, tidy, and organized. This property is a perfect reflection of it's owners/managers. My family and I felt completely at home here and it was the perfect place to recover and restore ourselves at the end of each day spent exploring Maui. It's a 15-25 min drive "out of the way" to get to and from the house...but that's exactly what we wanted! What more can I say...we would absolutely stay here next time we're in Maui for sure. Loved it.

A beautiful, spacious, relaxing home with completely outfitted kitchen and super comfortable beds. Located away from it all, but you are not far from the ocean or the mountains. Views of the ocean to the west and north! The hosts are very friendly and eager to make your stay as perfect as they can. Awesome place!!

We stayed in the villa with some friends for our wedding, the property is gorgeous with many fruit trees and flowering plants to look at. The sunset bedroom itself has excellent views of the bay down towards Kihei and the weather up in Kula is excellent averaging 10 degrees cooler than down at the beach. Would happily stay again!

Some friends and I decided to island hop over to Maui for a few days and stayed here for our trip. The views in Kula are my fav views in Maui so it was so special to be staying up here. Being able to see a beautiful sunrise, sunset and even stargaze. Even though it’s further away from beaches and whatnot, nothing will beat the crisp Kula air. Char made booking & checking in/out so seamless. The space was nice and clean upon arrival. The house was also easy to find on the drive up at night. It’s a nice quiet area as well. Really great place for bigger groups traveling together as there’s beds and bathrooms to accommodate everyone! Will definitely be keeping this place in mind for future Maui trips. And would highly recommend others to stay here too!

It's a beautiful house morning/evening, quiet, very clean, beautiful views and located in an area that made it convenient to access many parts of the island. Host was also pleasant and helpful. We loved our stay at this property. Listening to the birds every morning and just getting out of the city was amazing. I can’t overstate enough how beautiful the view is in the morning from the master bedroom, and again in the evening with the sunset over the ocean. This is a truly magical spot

Very special location, great house, spacious and beautiful, with a great view over Maui. Especially recommended for Haleakala fans & photographers. Easy to reach at all times of the day to enjoy the spectacular landscape in the best of light.

We stayed at Char's house for the week of Christmas. She and her son were very responsive and came over to give us a tour of the house and answer any questions. Char also kindly let us borrow a Christmas tree so we could have a proper Christmas. The house itself waqs lovely and warm, especially with all the windows. We really felt like we were part of the environment. The stars at night were also amazing.

Lovely home near Kula. Architect of the home is great. Love the farm vibe and the out house. Amazing night views for star watching. Owners clearly care about this home and your visit by making sure it is well stocked for one’s stay. This place is great for families.

Trying to figure out where to start here. Everything was wonderful! The hostess communicated daily and checked in with us. She even stopped in at the property to show us around and explain how things work. They pick fruit there on the property, and she was kind enough to leave us a couple of different Hawaiian fruits to try. When we were leaving, she was on the property working, and she walked over and helped us load our suitcases in the car. Seriously, she went so far above and beyond what we would have ever expected. As far as the house, it was perfect for our family of five. Spacious, lots of shelves and storage in bathrooms, bedrooms, and main living spaces. The views were awesome. Off the front of the house you look in the distance at the ocean and the mountains. The property itself has a beautiful circle drive with ample parking, it is secluded off the main areas, and everything feels extremely safe. Then there were just small touches that make everything better. The front lock has a code so you don’t have to remember to bring a key with you every time you leave. The beds have plugs right up above the nightstands so that you can plug in digital of devices, without having to search for outlets. There were beach towels and chairs for our family to use. A washer and dryer was there that was stocked with detergent. Amazing hostess. Amazing views. Amazing home.

The property offered alot of privacy and space. The rooms gave a place to rest and unwind for every guest. Kitchen was well equiped and fed us every day including the out door grill . We would definitely go again .

We had an amazing stay at this property. The property itself is as described but what made it next level was the host’s responsiveness and flexibility. Crispin was super communicative throughout the stay and took plenty of time to help orient us during the check in. We had a significant flight delay on the way out and he let us stay until it was time for departure and rescheduled his cleaner to come later to prep the place for the next guest. The unit itself was clean, well apportioned and as described. We would definitely stay here the next time we visit.

We planned our stay for mid-September back in January and thought of cancelling or postponing our stay when the news of the Maui fires broke. Char told us everything was fine and we should follow through with our visit and we're happy we did. The views to the west were amazing and the trees on and around the property smelled so good. There was plenty of room for our group of 6 with more than enough space for parking. The house had everything we needed in the kitchen as well as the rest of the house, it felt like our home for the week. Crispin was fantastic and shared local places to visit. He was also very responsive for any requests we had if we needed something at the house. He said he and Char wanted to make our stay the best possible and they delivered! Staying in the Upcountry was a good choice, away from some of the overdeveloped tourist areas, and there's a weekly farmer's a few minutes away on Saturday mornings. One thing to keep in mind is getting to most places takes at least 25 minutes, but traffic moves fairly well.

This house was beautiful in a lovely neighborhood. It was clean and well appointed. The host was great. She was very responsive and communicative throughout our stay. We had a great time.

From the get-go, our host was very responsive and friendly. We met her and her son on the evening of our arrival, and they familiarized us with the villa. It is beautiful, spacious, and offer)many amenities other rentals do not. The beds are comfortable and the bamboo linens soft and cool. We used both patios, the clean outdoor BBQ grill, brand new beach chairs, and well-supplied kitchen. The sunrise and sunset views are postcard-perfect! Our group of friends will rent this awesome villa again the next time|we're on Maui.

The property was everything we could have dreamed of. Amazing views each and every day. We watched the quail and their babies every morning. Char was amazing and ensured everything went smoothly. We will definitely be back!

We loved the peaceful, gorgeous setting and the trade winds blowing through the house. Char went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant and to accommodate our early flight arrival and late flight departure. This house is a true gem!

My wife and I, 3 adult children, and our 2 yr old grandson spent 6 nights at this wonderful property. Having been along the coast in Ka’anapali area twice before we decided to go upcountry. We were not disappointed. The home was beautiful, well laid out, well appointed, and made a perfect home base for going to Haleakala, the road to Hana, beaches, and just an overall different vibe from the typical beach touristy scene. We still traveled to the beaches on the northwest side to hit some favorite spots, just allowing a little extra time to get there. Our host, Char, was super. She met us the day of arrival, gave us the tour and layout, and checked on us periodically to see how we were doing. She certainly has thought of most everything you might need for an enjoyable vacation. We particularly enjoyed the west facing lanai for evening sunsets and ocean views while relaxing after long days out and about. Would highly recommend

This private, secluded retreat was the ideal central location for good friends to vacation together and explore this tropical paradise. It took a few days to relax from our "other lives" but we soon felt the aloha spirit and became fully immersed in island life and all the beauty and warmth Maui has to offer. Kula is a quiet agricultural community with one of the best Farmer's Markets on the island most Saturday mornings. It is very easy to feel at home here and it fully lives up to its name "Island Sunset Villa". The sunsets are truly memorable, sleeping is effortless with the trade winds circulating cool breezes throughout the the villa all night, and the mornings are delightful as you are greeted by a cacophony of bird songs. The villa lives up to its descriptions in all respects and the kitchen was wonderful - complete with all the essentials for meal preparation, and plenty of room for many cooks! We loved the tropical orchard and flowers surrounding the villa. The home was clean and tastefully furnished and was well stocked with beach gear and fins for snorkeling. Char was a wonderful and very accommodating host who was responsive to our questions or issues. She was most helpful and genuinely wants to be sure everyone of her guests has the best time possible. She was full of information and recommendations of places to eat, shop and play. Kula has a number of wonderful gems including a delicious french pastry cafe. We departed refreshed with much aloha.

Our week long stay was simply amazing!! The home was clean, with spacious rooms, and plenty of windows to enjoy the air circulating the home, in the morning and evenings after a long day out exploring! All appliances, big and small, worked! There’s plenty of kite men gadgets and utensils to cook a meal at home! We loved that the home was fully equipped with everything we needed during our stay! Lots of beach chairs, towels, and water gears for the family!! Char is an excellent host and communicated with us during our entire stay at the villa! Super sweet and kind, and going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable!! Simply the best and memorable experience!
