The Owner: Marty, the owner, deserves a standing ovation. She’s hands down the best, most accommodating owner we’ve ever encountered. Her communication was crystal clear, and she was just a call or text away whenever we needed anything. And guess what? When we checked in, there was a delightful surprise waiting for us—a bottle of wine on the table. Talk about a warm welcome! The Home: We were a family of five, including three teenage boys, and let me tell you, we all felt right at home. The condo was well-appointed, the beds were super comfy, and the location? Well, it couldn’t be more perfect. You’re a mere 20-minute drive from San Diego’s top attractions, and a quick 5-minute walk gets you to the charming shops at Ocean Beach. The View: Now, let’s talk about that view. I might’ve spent more time on the deck than inside the condo itself. The unobstructed views of the Pacific were simply stunning. Sunsets? Oh, they happened right in front of us, like a daily masterpiece. And guess what’s just below the condo? The amazing Tidepools! There’s a staircase leading down to them—one street up from where we stayed. It’s like having our own private aquarium to explore every day. In Summary: We’ve found our spot in San Diego, and we’re definitely coming back. If you’re after a great value, jaw-dropping views, and an owner who’s genuinely the nicest person, look no further.

We had a great stay at Marty's Beach House. The 2 best things are the amazing panoramic view from sunset cliffs and an amazing host! Marty cares about the property and your stay. The condominium is clean, well stocked, comfortable, and is in a great cliff-side location. Marty is easy to reach and very responsive. We were greeted by a bottle of wine and a nice note. Close walk to restaurants, groceries, and the beach. We loved taking long walks along the cliffs and spending our afternoons sitting on the balcony listening to the waves crash. Great sunsets and we even saw dolphins and seals. We loved it and can't wait to come back.

Wonderful location for an ocean-side vacation. The owner is very accommodating and easy to work with. The condo is beautiful and within easy walking distance of a variety of restaurants, as well as a perfect spot for enjoying sunsets.

Loved Marty's beach house! Really amazing views, loved hearing the waves crashing, we saw surfers every morning, enjoyed trying coffee shops and restaurants in the Ocean Beach neighborhood, and we appreciated that parking was included! Marty was extremely easily to communicate with. Would definitely come back!

Marty made the stay so easy! She gave us great information on where to eat, get groceries, and places to visit during our stay. She even left a bday card and gift for my Uncle who was celebrating a big birthday! (Very thoughtful, thank you Marty!) She even kept us informed of any storm related information (since we never turned the TV on) to make sure we weren’t concerned about flooding or tornados (yep, that was a thing, but not super close to us). Marty’s condo has 180 degree view of the ocean and is walkable to everything Ocean Beach, including the tide pools that were soooo neat to explore. We saw a pod of whales and had a dolphin come in to play with a buoy just outside the patio. Would absolutely stay again. Thank you Marty!

I love the location, view, and layout of this property. You couldn't ask for better in Ocean Beach, and the host is very accomodating.

Property was clean and well cared for. Beautiful place to stay on the ocean close to shopping and restaurants. Fully appointed kitchen, we didn't use it much with all the yummy places to eat, but if you are wanting to cook some meals at the condo, the kitchen has everything you could possibly need. Would suggest that you bring shower items in a hanging bag as there is no shelf in the on-suite bathroom shower. View from the deck at sunset is amazing! Would definitely stay here again!!

The property was well kept and well equipped which I didnt expect! Extra pillows, towels, beach chairs and all the rest to enjoy a beachside vacation. Also in walking distance to everything.

Marty’s Beachhouse is a perfect place to enjoy San Diego. The location in Ocean Beach is super convenient. The beach house sits just above the beach and has a great patio with comfortable seating to hang out and enjoy the view! The place is spotless and well stocked. Marty is very clear and responsive. We would highly recommend her place and will likely return.

All the reviews that say the view is amazing are correct! It’s incredible!!! We loved exploring on the rocks below and you can walk and explore all the way to the pier. It was great to have two bathrooms and the in-suite laundry was so convenient. Since we flew, the beach items were really nice to have. We had a large rental vehicle and there was plenty of space to park. The kitchen was stocked with anything and everything. There are stairs leading to the condo, but it wasn’t an issue for us. And then there’s Marty. Her communication was probably the best we’ve ever had. She made sure we had everything we needed and accommodated any request. We all absolutely loved the town of Ocean Beach too! Definitely more of a local “feel” than touristy. Overall a great stay.

Stayed with our family and everything was outstanding. Very comfortable with great views. Loved the beach toys and chairs and proximity to the beach - a very short walk. Really enjoyed coffee on the patio every morning and sunset views. Marty was fantastic at communicating and there for any questions and made us feel welcome. It was hot inside the unit (it was august in a heat wave) until we figured out how to optimize the windows and fans properly which were very nicely provided. My kids loved the tide pools which were a 2 minute walk and the proximity to great ice cream, food, and shops was fabulous! Would definitely come back.

My family and I had a great time in Ocean Beach and the condo was perfect for our needs. The view of the sunsets and ocean were fantastic. We were able to walk to restaurants, bars, pier, and ocean beach in minutes. 30min drive to LaJolla, Miramar, Coronado. Sunset Cliffs a very short drive. Everything we needed in the kitchen was included and the beds were comfortable. The weather was 67-77 the entire week and the breeze and provided fans helped keep the condo cool despite no AC. Condo is not big but we had 4 people comfortably. The host was responsive to questions and very admissable. Ocean Beach is not LaJolla, Coronado, or DelMar, but it has a lot of character, it's fun, and we enjoyed our stay.

We stayed at this very clean, quaint condo right by the ocean, the owner is very nice and concerned about your stay and supplied many items to make it as comfortable as possible. The stairs leading up to the condo are a bit of a challenge, unless you're in good shape, we had no issues... Walking distance to the Ocean and a lot of nice restaurants! We were there 23 days! Excellent location, spectacular view. The unit is as described: clean, very easy check-in, plenty of off-street parking. Plenty of beach chairs, coolers, and other beach gear provided. A truly great place to stay in Ocean Beach. Marty is a thoughtful and considerate host. Highly recommended.

Perfect apartment just 4 minute walk from some great restaurants. Apartment was perfect for us 4. 2 Adults and 2 kids boys 9 and 7. It’s was clean tidy and Marty welcomed us with open arms as our host. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and great Family area, ideal for just chilling after a long day. The property is located right on the ocean. It overlooks the tide pools and a short walk to Ocean Beach. This was the first time I have been to a California beach and it wasn't at all what I expected. Ocean Beach reminded me of the small east coast beach communities I'm used to with local independent shops and restaurants. We just happened to be there during the Chili Cookoff and it was fantastic. Great food. The beach house was quiet, very clean, well supplied with dishes to cook and barbecue and beach supplies like umbrellas, coolers, boogie boards, beach chairs and beach towels. Every night was an amazing sunset. Easy parking. Rent a compact if you want to garage it. We rented a large EV and parked it in the reserved space. Nothing happened to it. The host is extremely conscientious and communicative. Really great to rent from. I definitely plan to go back ASAP.

The outdoor deck with beautiful ocean view was a favorite. Nearby trail and beaches were just steps away. House was stocked with amenities. Very memorable family trip. Host was great.

If you want to be completely awed by the majesty of the Pacific Ocean, this is the place for you! The view is incredible. The property is very conveniently located next to the beach, restaurants, and shops. We were able to walk almost everywhere. It was a plus that there was beach equipment available to borrow in the garage. The condo was a little squeezy for our family of five but we made it work! Marty is a kind and thoughtful host. Marty is an excellent host who goes out of her way to ensure her guests have a lovely stay. The view is wonderful, can't be beat. We did see dolphins our last day, and surfers every day. Tons of great places to eat close by. Easy access to the beach. As previous posters mentioned, the bathrooms could use an update, and the unit is in the flight path of the airport (minor annoyances), but you're overlooking the ocean. We would highly recommend staying with Marty.

The actual neighborhood and community are great and friendly. Tide pools cool just minutes away. Live music and restaurants just blocks away for great local entertainment. House is clean. Hard to cook as range is lack luster with low flame etc Check out time too early. It should be mentioned the house is under the flight path and 7 am Sunday morning take offs took away any plan for sleeping in. We almost got use to it after 4 days.

There is something very peaceful about sitting on the balcony overlooking the Pacific Ocean and listening to the waves. Very relaxing to also hear them from each bedroom. Pelicans glide by and dolphins play right out front. This condo is very clean and well appointed. The owner/host is very attentive to your needs. I hope to return for another family visit in the near future.

Marty’s place has a gorgeous view from the living room and kitchen. We enjoyed the ocean view on the patio for breakfast and dinner. The location is really good for beaches and restaurants. Hope we can come back sometime soon!

The place was perfect and the view was spectacular! This place was an easy walk from the beach and restaurants. Parking was easy to get to even with our suv. The tide pools were a nice addition just a 2 minute walk away. Plenty of dishes and two bathrooms made it a for my family to feel at home but not cramped.

Marty’s beach house was very pleasant for our first vacation as a family of 4. We appreciated her hospitality, cute decor, and great communication!

Overall wonderful location and very clean with good accommodations. Some upgrades to bathrooms (showers, toilet paper holder location) would be nice. Marty was great, responding quickly to any questions.
