Great stay! Loved the dock and the water was good for swimming. Plenty of amenities for a large group.

This house was great! Plenty of room, everything we need, and the location on the water is nice. We have kids all ages and they love using the dock with jumping area and slide! Great memories with family and friends!

We rented this house to be able to host our family and a few friends for our wedding ceremony (on the upper level of the dock) and it was absolutely perfect. The house was beautiful. The location and views were stunning. We loved having two of each appliance in the kitchen. The game room in the basement + hot tub and corn hole on the decks were awesome. Our whole group had a blast and we are all sad to be back to reality. Well worth the investment- you won’t regret it!!

This is a clean and a well appointed rental. It fit 26 people comfortably for our family reunion. Britney, the property owner, was great to work with. She was polite, quick to respond, and helpful. We already have our deposit in for next year.

Everything about it was great! Communication with the owner after we arrived was fantastic. House was very clean and had ample dishes and towels for the 27 of us.

Everything was wonderful. Mattress were basic rental property quality but good enough. Very well stocked with supplies in the kitchen and loved the double appliances. One thing I didn’t see noted was that during the winter, the lake is drained and floating docks removed. Not that we would have been swimming but visually not what we expected.

The house was everything shown but better. The pictures of this place do it no justice for how beautiful it actually is. It was perfectly decorated for Christmas. Our family and especially the children were ecstatic over it. We definitely plan to come back during the summer. The only down side was that the lake was nothing but a running stream, but it was still wonderful nevertheless.

This property was in good condition when we arrived. There were a few things that were broken but overall it was very nice. We had a family group of 10 cousins and some spouses for a total of 14 adults aged 50 to 70. There any Many Stairs with the property! We were aware of this from the photos and website. Some of our group did have trouble with the stairs but overall our experience was really great!

The double fridges were clutch for the 13 adults that staid here. Check in was easy, dock is amazing and not nearly as many steps to the water as other houses in the area.

Overall a comfortable home for a large group. We loved the large kitchen with extra appliances and the extra long table and seating on the top deck of the house. Some of the bedrooms were tight squeezes for families (no closets, minimal floor space, nowhere to hang towels). Being toward the end of the cove was great -- minimal boat traffic, and the kids enjoyed the slide on the dock. The owner was terrific to work with and very responsive. We had a very nice vacation!

The house was nice and very spacious my only dislikes is I didn’t see the extra house that you could walk to from the steps I didn’t see the boat or the dock that was in the pictures , and I didn’t understand why there’s such a high cleaning fee if we had to do all the cleaning before we left and I don’t like how there’s a contract that you don’t know about until you’ve already paid your money

House and property were both great!

The house is in an excellent location at end of a cove, so didn’t have to worry about too much boat traffic with kids swimming. Beautiful house with lots to do. Entire family thoroughly enjoyed the week.

Our family really enjoyed this property. There was enough space for us to spread out, but also space for us to be together. The property managers were very responsive before and during our stay with whatever questions we had.

The house was very clean and well equipped. We enjoyed the privacy of being at the end of the cove.

This is a beautiful home which was perfect for our large multi-generational family gathering. Property was very clean and the owners were extremely responsive and easy to work with (one is serving our country). They made a nice accommodation for us which was very much appreciated. It was nicely furnished with comfortable seating. We were there in January so we did not use the dock or lake amenities. Driveway is a bit tricky so would recommend that drivers have someone to guide them safely around the corner and down the driveway.

Everything was great but if internet and cable is important to you, you might be disappointed.

The house was beautiful and clean and provided tons of space and amenities. The views were great and the atmosphere was perfect. We greatly enjoyed our time in the house and on the Lake. The major issue we encountered was the driveway and parking. It was very fortunate that the majority of our family drives 4 wheel drives because the driveway was pitiful. It is a large incline and lose gravel, so be prepared to go off-roading just to get to the front door. Also please realize you are on the side of a mountain and stairs are abundant! In the words of my 3 year old nephew "MORE STEPS!" We anticipated the steps before hand, but there really are tons of steps, so if you are not healthy and able it would be best to never leave the main level. There were some construction concerns that we had to deal with around the outside of the house, and while we were able to manage the issues on our own with the crew, it would have been nice to have received some sort of heads up from the owners so that we could have been prepared for these things being in progress.

This was our 6th year at Norris Lake with our family of 30. The home we had stayed previously was booked for the July 4th week and we chose Waker's Paradise as an alternative. We certainly weren't disappointed. The home itself was beautiful with many modern updates. And the best part for us is that we had enough beds to accommodate all of our guests comfortably. The kitchen is large and had everything we needed and plenty of counter and table space for everyone. The decks were lovely and the games in the lower level were a wonderful addition. Ping pong tournaments were happening every night. The stairway to the dock was not difficult to walk as we have experienced with previous homes. Even the older folks in our family had no trouble going up and down. The dock was a wonderful addition with a water slide that provided endless hours of play for all the young people. The cove was a little quieter at that end which was nice for relaxing. Overall we loved our stay and would book Waker's Paradise again!

In 2004, we lost our precious Mom and as she was the backbone to the family; we struggled adjusting to our normal. Through the years our family grew and recent loses reminded us how precious life is and the need to solidify our family connection to ensure the next generation's awareness. To that end, our family "getaway" was planned. We knew that we needed a property that could accommodate at least 28 adults and children and with extreme blessings, we found Waker's Paradise nestled in the sleepy town of LaFollette, TN. The property was a perfect mix of contemporary décor within a rural setting. We felt I welcomed immediately and found everything needed that made our weekend a winning success. The owners paid close attention to details, from the well-stocked kitchen with contemporary styled dishes and flatware, dual major kitchen appliances, and let's not forget the well-appointed bedrooms that guaranteed the sweet and restful night's slumber. Young and old, we had a ball doing something or nothing at all. My nephew and his family took advantage of the dock to cast their fishing lines, we hosted game night, talent shows and more importantly created great family members. We are convinced that through all the planning and event logistics, Waker’s Paradise was the icing on top of the sundae. I strongly recommend this property for those planning family gatherings, corporate team building sessions or couple retreats. The drive to the cabin was easy from both Georgia and North Carolina and based on provided detailed directions, even in the dark of night, navigating up the mountain only added to the adventure. I would only add that parking was challenging as we experienced the aftermath of a day of raining…love that TN mud. Overall the event was successful and offered just the right amenities and we’ve committed to planning it as an annual event; which certainly will cause smiles from heaven.

The house was a very wonderful and cozy, but the problems that we had was that the driveway is not for normal cars and there were plenty of constructions going on next to the house so there was no way to park your vehicle. The dock and fire pit that is shown in the pictures doesn’t excites and the Wifi service is horrible. They charge you a cleaning fee but they want you to clean up the house before you leave and if you don’t they will charge you for the cleaning service again. The house had plenty of supplies. One bed bug was found dead in a bed. Next time I will rent from someone else

Where do I begin... it was 8 couples ... we Traveled from Alabama for Valentine weekend ... the house had all the amenities we needed .. it was clean and all the rooms were cozy ...any problems we had were handled in a timely fashion we will definitely return .. me and my crew had an absolute ball!!!!!I highly recommend this property

We originally booked with Britney but due to some unforeseen circumstances we weren’t able to stay in her property. She searched and found us another home identical to hers. She took care of switching our reservation and remained accessible by phone just in case we encountered any problems. She also called the day we arrived to check in on us. I would definitely use her again to book a stay. As for the property. It has everything you can wish for . We were a party of 23 and we were very comfortable and had adequate amount of space. The kids had the game room and enjoyed making s’mores over the fire pit. Yhe adults enjoyed all of the decks. We never left the property and had such an enjoyable time. I would definitely recommend this house.

Our family of 28 children and grandchildren gathered at Waker’s Paradise for a long weekend Nov. 8th - 11th. Even in the off season it was a gorgeous location. The house easily accommodated everyone and we never felt cramped even though the weather kept us inside most of the weekend! We had 4 families with 3 or more children each, including 3 newborns and 4 other couples! Every family had their own room with plenty of beds. Brittney was very attentive and responsive to our questions and requests. We could not think of a single thing the house was lacking! Cell service is not available at this lovely retreat, so unplug, unwind and enjoy each other!

This is a great location for a large family to spend lots of time together and in the lake. It has the best stocked kitchen we have ever seen and extremely well set up for a large group. Britney was great to work with. I strongly recommed!

The house was beautiful and clean and very nicely appointed with all the amenities you would need. Our group consisted of 10 adults and 7 children and it worked out perfectly! The location on the Lake was perfect! Britney was wonderful to work with and responded very quickly to any questions and concerns. Awesome place!! We would definitely rent again
