Everything inside the home is pristine. The kitchen was very well stocked and had wonderful appliances. I was happy to see the gate on the front porch so my dog could lay out in the sun when he wanted. Every day my dog and l took full advantage of the quick walk to the beach. It is a fabulous beach for dogs (and humans, too). My only complaint is the home's location being right on Highway 1. The weather was perfect while I was there and I wanted to leave the front door open, but the noise from the travel ruined the peacefulness of the view, so I kept it closed most of the time. This is a great area for hiking, our favorite activity, walking around town, especially Morro Bay which still has the flavor of beach towns of the past. Cindy was a very nice host, but keeps her phone on "do not disturb" from 9:00 PM - 9:00 AM. The smoke detector went off at 8:00 AM for no reason. I tried everything to get it to stop, but it kept going for over 20 minutes, when it finally stopped. I texted Cindy numerous times, but didn't get a response her until an hour or so later. She said she was visiting with a friend and had her phone on silent. Another time I texted her at 3:00 pm asking about additional propane for the grill in case the tank ran out and did not hear back until 5 pm. I thought she should have been more available. Overall, I had a great time in the Cayucos/Morro Bay area and enjoyed the home.

We really enjoyed our stay at this remarkable cottage! Everything is updated and tastefully decorated. The light and spacious kitchen had everything we needed neatly organized. For my husband who has low vision, the walk in shower, amazing lighting and multiple windows were the best! It was hard to find a property that had all of these amenities, plus oven views, but we found it all here! Cindy was a great host, answering our questions quickly and respectful of our privacy at the same time. It’s a Shore Thing’ that we’ll be back!

We were delighted to find this place to be everything a VRBO should be. The accommodations made us feel right at home as soon as we walked in. The proximity to all the local sites was very helpful. We especially enjoyed the nearby Morro Bay Dog Beach which was only minutes away.

We enjoyed our relaxing time at Cindy’s place. Lots of room for our family of 4 with 2 grown kids and 2 golden retrievers. The house has wonderful appliances and amenities, if you need to make a meal, bake something or do laundry. With 2 full bathrooms, we didn’t have to wait for each other to shower. Our dogs also had a great time! They got to run free on the beach (walking distance) and got an easy paw rinse using the outdoor shower. Last but not least, the sunset from the front porch is amazing and spectacular.

This is the perfect central coast beach getaway for a small family and a dog. The host is super nice, without being obtrusive. The ad for this place was very accurate, although to be honest it didn’t do this lovely house justice. The house has everything you could possibly need in it including instructions and having everything labeled. They even decorated for Christmas. The view is great and the beach is a two block walk. My family and our dog went every day and loved it. We’ve rented many vacation homes over the years and this is by far the best.

Such a nice spot. The property was in great shape - clean and lovely. The views were fantastic and a few minutes walk takes you to the beach.
