My five friends and I had a wonderful stay during our 10th annual girls’ weekend. The house is beautiful and within walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants, boutiques, and wine tasting rooms. We had a fabulous time and can’t wait to book again!

My wife, daughter and I had a wonderful family vacation here over Christmas. The charm of the old house was well appreciated. The Christmas decorations were outstanding and made it all very home-like.

This was a great choice for our group. We traveled to the area for a family wedding. This home had everything we needed. Character, charm and location to boot!

The house itself was easy to find and in convenient location to other points of interest. We spent time at the nearby exotic zoo, ventured over to Hye TX at Garrison Brothers Distillery and then on to Fredericksburg for a day of wine tasting and shopping. Perfect location for this weekend getaway.

We really enjoyed staying at this historic house! The location was great (within walking distance to shopping and restaurants). The home is beautiful and was set up with everything we needed for cooking and grilling outside. We would definitely go back!

We had a couple of issues and needed to get resolved. I reached out to owner (who had been texting and calling me prior to check-in. He got someone out the next morning as it was midnight when he got back to me. Refrigerador wasn't cooling off and it had been more than 4 hoirs. Prop. Mgr came in morning. It was working then but still very hot by compressor on floor. I was promised some money off for this inconvenience but did not get any. Also the owner was texting and calling me several times the week of my check-in to make sure I was still coming despite already having my money. This was a bit weird to me. He even wanted me to text him with my arrival time. Very strange especially with cameras in the property and smart door locks. The cost was a bit high also at almost 400 per night.

This is a charming historical home on the square in Johnson City within a block of a few restaurants, galleries and shops. The wine trail starts nearby as well as breweries and distilleries. The kitchen is well stocked, the beds are comfortable and the house is quite roomy. Our host was extremely communicative and helpful! Thank you Reed for a wonderful stay!

A home base to explore the area.

Conveniently located in Johnson City, this charming house had everything we needed for a long weekend. Great for groups of couples or a family. We are looking forward to staying there again soon!

Awesome historical home, perfect for diverse family interests...close to antique shopping, many wineries, Safari ride, Wildflower farm, and national museums. Plenty of bedroom space, nice kitchen to cook in... would recommend adding an island counter. Loved the large dining room table ... great for our family gatherings.

What a perfect vacation rental! This home was super clean, just as expected and was right on the downtown square so it was easy to get around. We loved the sitting room, the back patio and the upstairs patio. Perfect rental for 4 friends going on wineries tours!

I stayed here for a week with 3 coworkers. The property is immaculate, quiet, fully stocked with basic necessities (paper towels, hand soap and dish soap) and kitchenware. Bedrooms are private enough for coworkers, but the house also has more than one nice communal area where we could chat and hang out after work if we wanted. The owner is incredibly kind and communicative. The beautiful historic house is also within walking distance to local dining and entertainment. Possibly the best VRBO I've ever stayed in; I hope to return another time!

The house is awesome and we loved being able to spread out and it was very homey!!! Perfect location for us and it was very clean. The owner was quick to respond and to fix any issues that came up. We would definitely rent from him again!!!!

We had a wonderful experience. The house was very clean and thought out for all needs. Very roomy. Large master bath. Large closets. Bedrooms were a nice size too with comfortable beds. Perfect location to walk to just about every activity we wanted to do. Could even walk to LBJ's boyhood home. On the square so it's perfect for looking at lights and the weekend Christmas activities. We enjoyed sitting on the porch at night people watching. Restaurants within walking distance. Part of the square was blocked off for the activities. The house had charming Christmas decorations and a tree in the front window. We even found a vinyl record of Christmas music to play on the record player. We will definitely return.

The house is located in the center of Johnson Square downtown. Convenient to restaurants and a few wonderful wineries on 290. The house is spacious and very comfortable. Our host was attentive to all of our requests.

This historic home is spacious, lovely, and beautifully maintained. Gorgeous antiques and wood floors, very clean and neat with a well-appointed kitchen. We walked to shopping and restaurants, drove to wineries and shops in Fredericksburg, and just enjoyed a glass of wine on the up and downstairs patios. One bedroom and bath are located on the ground floor for anyone uncomfortable with stairs.

This house was like being at home. Everyone enjoyed it including the baby.
